  1. They look nice and not a fortune. Thanks for the link. I'm not sure how to choose. I want centered and low but I'm not sure if I need AK to weaver or svd.... Do you know which one you have? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk
  2. Thanks! NJSP made you return it? How did that go? I'll have to check the roll marks on mine. I don't think it says AK anywhere. I think it's marked "sporter" Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk
  3. Hmmm....there's a pinned brake on there. I'll have to give a closer look? Sights though look pretty straight. I did get on paper at CJRP but I have to make a proper target holder. My leftover cardboard on a stick from ft dix kept getting blown over :-/ Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk
  4. So I went into Howell Gun Works on Saturday to see if they had received any more Zastava o-paps in stock....they didn't. But they did have an I.O. Inc AK variant on the rack. Bit more money but apparently has a chrome lined barrel. Not that I feel I need one but seems to justify some of the extra cost. That and they are made in the great Mickey state of FL! Came with 3 pinned mags and a hard case too! Need to pick out a side rail mount as I plan on repurposing my strike fire red dot. I dont feel like spending over 100 bucks though....anyone have a suggestion? Put about 50 rounds down yesterday and it sure is fun! Anyone else have an IO? Thanks Tommy Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk
  5. I see boolits..... Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk
  6. I just got my badge last week and went to "the pits" for the very first time last night. I loved it. Reading this thread is a little disheartening for a new member :-/ ...........I also dont think the $ amount to pave the roadway is too far off base, but I only have experience with a small driveway.
  7. Just ordered a "Ghost Mag" to go with the "Ghost Lower" http://www.botach.com/lancer-l5awm-advanced-warfighter-magazines/
  8. If I can pull it off at all I will be sure to snap some. The green parts kit should be a piece of cake.....the LEDs may be a challenge to find space. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk
  9. I may have to add a zombie green parts kit too Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk
  10. I bought one.........I just like it, lol..........and it is intended to be built into a firearm. In a conversation on their FB page, they did not recommend it as a duty weapon or for any heavy use, however they are fully confident as a range toy. I think I may tear apart one of my kids old "blinky" shoes and re-purpose the LEDs and "shock sensor"...........BANG......blinky blinky blinky..........BANG.........blinky blinky blinky, LOL...........or is that against NJ law somewhere?
  11. So Cabela's has promo for 1 cent shipping on there branded merch, shirts, hats and such. Ordered some 7.62x39 for $4.99, some ammo boxes and threw a hat in the shopping cart and the shipping came off the whole order. http://www.cabelas.com/browse.cmd?categoryId=517836780 I wish I had more in the ammo budget at the moment to stock on on some more! So if you can use a Cabela's hat or t-shirt you can get some good deals on ammo and such. Happy shopping!
  12. In response to the question of steel cased ammo in a mini 14, this was in July's American Rifleman....... Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk
  13. Been waiting for a long time for this phone..........and will probably end up waiting longer. :-( Good Luck, let us know if you get one.
  14. Are you able to describe this "really disappointing experience"?
  15. Id like to play! Lets see.......... from L to R My buddy's CZ-75 (I think) his Kriss Vector Henry 22 frontier My Russian SKS 686 92fs S&W E series 1911 M&P 15 - think I have it sighted pretty good @100 yards now. Really happy with the Nikon 223 scope! Was hitting steel at 200. Next trip I will put out a proper target @200 and see how I am.
  16. This is the most troll trolly troll troll post I think I have read on any forum. BTW, HGW handled two transfers for me and I was very pleased. I drive past all the time and find it hard not to pull in to just browse at live gun pr0n! That could get expensive.
  17. Maybe Ill get a response from them on their FB page..........
  18. Im with you on that theory.......however.......Im not shootin it. Ill call it the first test case for the bullet puller I just picked up with the rest of my reloading supplies.
  19. The description states "brass and nickel plated brass casings"......again, Im not too bothered by the one steel casing in there. Im not too unreasonable to not understand, if it was the only issue I wouldnt have mentioned it. I am bothered by the lack of response on the split case. Who knows what would happen. Its not a .22 after all.
  20. Ill let my email do most of the talking, however I ordered 250 rounds of reloaded .357 from LAX. Couple of the rounds concerned me, more so the split case, however I only mentioned the Tula steel because it was there. So am I expecting too much for a response? I know I didnt say I wanted something, but customer service would dictate at least a response and maybe like a free shipping code or something. Ive ordered reloads from Freedom and have had zero issues, love 'em, however Id be hesitant to reorder from Lax. What do you think? I sent the below message on the 9th............ Thanks for readin, Tom _________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Hello, I received my order today via FedEx. Packaged great, thanks! I just wanted to note a couple of the rounds. First and foremost is a split/damaged case. I would not feel safe shooting this round. And second is a steal cased Tula round. Im just glad I decided to place them in trays for transport which gave me a chance to check each round out. That split case is really a concern for me and makes me question my purchase. Please see the attached pics. Thanks, Tom
  21. Cool........thank you for the responses.
  22. How about mounting it? Did you need some extra help in the drill bit department? I really do like the simplicity of the Fas1 but Im thinking if I mount it and then decide to mount it elsewhere in a different application......then I'll have holes all over the thing, LOL. Also, does the door pop open if mounted on its side? I only see it mounted vertically on the web. Thanks again, Tom
  23. Hey Guys, I hate to resurrect such an old thread, but I guess that's what happens with the search button ;-) Any more opinions on the Fas1 safe now that you have had it for a while? Im between the Fas1 and the Titan Pistol Vault http://www.titangunsafe.com/2/60-TITAN_Gun_Safe_Pistol_Vault.html They seem pretty similar in construction. The extra money in the Titan seems to be in the pre drilled holes and included mounts which is very important to me, however Im not sure its $120+ more important to me. decisions, decisions......... Thanks, Tom
  24. So I had a little "home ec" time last night with my Henry Frontier .22 and did some sewing. I picked this up online from "Ricochet Roy". It was slightly more than I wanted to spend on an 8 x 2 inch piece of leather with some string, but in the end I am super happy with how it came out. I would like a leather butt stock cover to match but I cant justify the cost........well at least not right now ;-) But I thought if this was the 1800's on an internet forum this may be "mall ninja" for the era, lol
  25. This is one of those extremely rare occasions I'm glad I need pistol permits. If I didn't I would be all over this thing for kicks and giggles....But not worth going for another permit for me. I do really like it and I would so wear my jack sparrow hat when I bring it to the rang! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk
