  1. I'm 7-3 and averaging 140 pts a week, the rest of the crew is solid.
  2. If you had to choose 2 of these 3 WRs, which do you play Golden Tate (SEA) vs MIN Emmanual Sanders (PIT) vs DET Danny Amendola (NE) vs CAR I have a solid idea of what I want to do, but I wanted to solicit other football fans.

    Water

Is having a well drilled on your property a state ordinance or a city/town ordinance? what forms have to be filed to have it done? Just having well water to pump water for the garden would be good, aside from shtf type stuff. thanks in advance
  4. the guy's been doing that for 30 years.... 190 arrests for violent crimes (including murder) between them all. Clearly they see the light of day frequently...
  5. Philly allows conceal carry.
  6. Person 1: "That's why I said,' I ain't worrying about the guns, because if they do got guns, first thing they gonna do is shoot.'" First thing who's going to do is shoot? the home owner?? also, I love how the newcaster, in her list of things people can do to protect themselves, never once mentioned getting a firearm and training with it.
  7. put the house key on a key ring like this and sleep with the key around your wrist. Then you're not fumbling trying to find a key in the dark, it's on your person, on your hand. It's an option.
  8. Putting up a pane of lexan behind the window would probably be a better idea. or both.
  9. it's the most popular rifle in America, I'm with you on that. Mini-14s, ARs, AKs, not used in street crime, but that doesn't mean they aren't available.
  10. that's great information for someone just starting to get into NASCAR. thanks.
  11. Just wear it around the house every day as if it was a weighted work out vest, your quads will be huge by the time the SHTF.
  12. cool test for 3 different types of plates
  13. ceramic does. steel doesn't. ar500 level III steel lasts "forever"
  14. One thing I noticed would be useful is during Sandy there were pockets of areas with power and one of them was a local Shoprite, local people were driving there to get groceries wasting valuable fuel when a simple collapsible wheeled cart would have done the job perfectly and conserved the fuel. (granted having food on hand before the storm mitigates that need to go to Shoprite, but having something to carry a load in gives you more options)
  15. once in a while just to watch the chaos for an hour or two. Never to shop.
  16. "likely" has nothing to do with the argument of rights. An American citizen has rights. Does a blind person surrender their freedom of speech? Their right to due process of law? Their right to remain silent? Their freedom of religion? Of course not, and they do not surrender their right to bear arms. As free men and women, it is their right. If they break the law, commit murder, use the firearm in the commission of a crime, etc then they will be tried and if convicted, lose those rights after due process of law. But you don't take their right away before they've committed any crime. Let's walk down that road.... statistically speaking, if X ethnicity commits more violent crime with a firearm than any other ethnicity, do you then revoke that ethnicity's natural, Constitutionally protected right to keep and bear arms because "they're more likely to commit a violent crime anyway". No of course not. That's insanity.
  17. Yes, one of the basic "rules" of firearms is to be aware of what's behind your target, however in a self-defense situation, NO ONE is 100% sure of what's behind their target. You're 100% sure that the old lady next door isn't sitting up in her bedroom which is on the other end of your AR muzzle? Non-sense. You're 100% sure that there isn't someone in your family who was getting a snack, sleep walking, startled by the intruder, who is on the other side of the wall directly behind your muzzle and the intruder? Non-sense. In a self-defense situation EVERYONE is entitled to the right to bear arms for self-defense. It is a RIGHT, not a privilege. The firearm safety "rules" are mostly to ensure no one gets hurt in controlled situations of training, plinking and handling.
  18. ^ this. Constitutionally protected self-defense is a natural right of everyone, the disabled included. I'd be willing to bet the blind are even more conscientious of firearm safety because of their disability compared to the fully capable jack knobs we see with their booger hooker on the bang switch NDing all over the place.
  19. That quote has set the bar extremely high for the funniest thing I've read this month...
  20. I don't know if I'd call that "doing it right", but it's definitely taking the extra step for the residents of the town which is commendable. My town has been pretty good with that as well.
  21. Military Arms Channel posted a link to this memo, which if true is far more reaching than just NJ. http://publicintelligence.net/weapons-discovery-terrorism/
  22. you would not have done well 25 years ago when everyone in our neighborhood was running around with entertech weapons and other realistic cap guns that lacked orange tips and looked as real as real can be from a quick glimpse or an undiscerning eye. The whole neighborhood was armed and playing guns in the burbs of NYC and no one batted an eye.
  23. Not up along the West Side Highway. too soon? No idea where to ride, but it sounds like you're going to have a blast. Enjoy!
  24. it's one of the best retorts and I've used it often.
