Brick Armory Closed by NJ Div of Taxation ?

I am a member with about 8 months left. I did go to SureShot and they haven't been as friendly as BA was to me. I was going there 3-5 times/month and never a sour face or ignored. True, the guns in stock sucked, but I had my own and I could use my M700 and AR there. When I went to sure shot yesterday, they were catty about them and bad mouthing. Not professional to me. I would still go to SS only out of convenience. Also, BA gave me discounts as a servicemember even before I became a member. SS won't unless I become a member. Also, $38/frangible ammo???? Out of your mind. CJRPC is EXPENSIVE and I requirements are absurd. I want to go shoot, clean up after myself and go home -
I had an issue with my VTR where it was hard to chamber a round in or extract it. i read all over the place that the extractor was an issue in m700 so i bought a new one. turnes out before i removed the old one that there was a build up of carbon UNDER the extractor which can be cleaned out with the right dental pick and solves that issue. i replaced it anyway since i had it, but i now know to look there first if it happens again.

Interesting, when i go to NRA sponsored matches in Jackson, they have M1s available to borrow. wonder what the difference is.

The sad part is that it's less difficult to find .308 and other 30 cal rounds than .22lr. I will shoot it before I decide if I'm gonna sell it or not, I just gotta find .22LR. If these are going for such high dollar amounts, I can sell it, get a Remington 7xx and maybe a cheaper .22lr. Dunno at this point

Just curious what you guys think. Everywhere I looked they were selling for $500 to over $1,200. I have one I bought from a friend because he isn't a gun guy and his father in law who was the original owner, passed. Hasn't been fired in no less than 40 years. I not sure if I'm keeping it because I'm considering a Remington 700 or 770 in the future. Thoughts?

Where does the Winchester model 75 come in? I have a target model and since they go for $600-$1400, I might sell mine.

I also had planned to join. That's outside my comfort zone for a range. I've been there few times. Signed up for range 14. $30/year to us military, $60 for everyone else. -

and although there is a valid point, there goes the conspiracy theory again.

I agree, but there is far too many rotten apples in that tree... and the the weeds (politicians) that we seem unable to get rid off.
