  1. enemy at the gates has cheesy cgi graphics, especially during the water crossing scenes, and cheesy effects like gasoline fireballs emitting from barrels of tanks. The story line is kinda cheesy with all the romance tension between commisar danilov and vasily. The ease at which they move around the city seems unrealistic..really the entire story line seems unrealistic. Look at the scene where khrushchev had the officer kill himself. All of the officers outside seemed like bumbling fools. I know this is based on a alleged real event, but it very well could have been russian propaganda making up this "duel" to raise morale. On its own it might seem like a pretty cool movie, but when you stand it up next to something like saving private ryan, band of brothers, or the pacific... it doesnt hold up at all.
  2. and while you're waiting for all this mess to blow over, watch some MGTOW videos Best of luck with this mess!!
  3. mini series, but band of brothers and the pacific were bout as real as you can get. Saving private ryan is up there. Enemy at the gates was kinda a cheesy flick but had some good bolt gun action
  4. HAHAH yeah I know i'm really a lousy party crasher here. I do enjoy the debate though! It would take us between 2-3 years to build a new battleship, based on past experience. In that time, how many bombers and half ton bombs would we build? If it takes 2000 seamen to run a battleship, you could conceivably have 2000 planes with a couple bombs each. You have three years to train your pilots, build the planes, and ordinance. In the end you either have one big ship, or thousands of planes and skilled pilots. Having said that, I would pay good money to be on a battleship when they fired a full salvo!!!
  5. Having the ability to actually carry a concealed weapon is the goal. Having to take a class or pay some fee would suck, but IMHO that's two steps forward and only one step back.
  6. maybe they are gonna wait until all the right wing justices die and get replaced with commies reacheduled... indefinitely
  7. a modern battleship would be just as susceptible to emp
  8. Union and Rahway would be terrible places to live... if you're serious about moving to Jersey you really need to visit first. I suggest something south or west of rt 287 (clinton, readington, flemington, etc, or around rt 195 (farmingdale, allentown). Get outta the ghetto city and in to more of the country. Steer clear of Jackson or Lakewood.
  9. yeah, it certainly sends a message when you have a battleship parked off shore from a major city. But whats even more menacing is a fleet of destoyers and aircraft carriers a hundred miles or more to sea.
  10. The battleship is designed to slug it out, ship to ship, with guns. When you have a destroyer that can shoot missiles at a battleship from 600+ miles away... whats the point of a battleship? Instead of a ship with 2000 crewmen and ~20 mile guns, you have a ship with more long range capabilities with a compliment of like 150. I would sure as hell take 10 destroyers full of cruise missiles over one battleship!! Cheaper to operate, longer range capabilities, steal capabilities, less crew... better!
  11. been watching for months.. they sure are dramatic on this one. After like 8 reschedules they better hear the damn thing!!
  12. I've been carrying a spyderco tenacious and persistence for years. I wanted something a little more low key for carrying with black work slacks. I picked up a spyderco chaparral a few months back and really dig it. Its EDC size, small, great warm feeling textured carbon grips, XHP steel, lock back, and has held an edge great! I'm def a spyderco fan... just have to pick and choose the right model as they have a lot of weird blades. Some of they are real winners tho.
  13. IMHO, until they ask you to step out of the car... these are the rules I follow 1. Be polite 2. Follow Directions 3. Provide identification 4. Offer no other information, dont deny anything, dont admit anything, dont confess anything. 5. Do not consent to searches. 6. Hope you just get a ticket and can move on with your life, $200 poorer. After they ask you to get out of your car, and before they start tearing it apart with a dog... you might want to let them know what they will find. HAHAH Chances are it will never come to that.
