  1. Sorry, HB, the link in your post didn't show on my phone until I posted mine.

  4. They certainly want to, remember this? http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2013/05/10/anti-gun-dems-shocking-hot-mic-comments-confiscate-confiscate-confiscate/
  5. It is Nick and yourself that deserve a heartfelt Thank You from anyone that believes in The Constitution and American Rights, such as myself. Timely news as we officially recognize those brave men and women who fought and continue to fight to keep us free. Nick and Dwight, THANK YOU both for your work! All Veterans and Active Duty, THANK YOU ALL FOR MY FREEDOM!!!
  6. Most important thing is to get your water tested. After over a decade and 3 different water softner systems attempting to fight "hard water issues", I learned that a traditional salt based softner does very little to remove high iron content. The "professionals" simply said I had "hard" water. After much reading and researching, I discovered that my bigger problem was the iron. I now have two sediment filters, a Terminator style iron removal system, and a traditional salt based softner. I will be adding in one final filter. No one system is a silver bullet for all.
  7. I've been with Vector for a number of years. I like the monitoring station aspect, linked to smoke/heat detectors. System uses cell phone service and has battery backup.
  8. Aceofdents.com I'm satisfied with the results, above satisfied with the level of customer service and honesty from Elvin. He told me up front the damage was not a good candidate for PDR and he wanted me to be happy. We agreed on my level of expectations and his opinion on what he could do, and a price. Too often anymore when dealing with a company the customer is given a feeling that the business is doing the customer a favor, that's far from what I experienced. Through all tyoes of interaction, phone, email, and in person, I felt my business was welcome, and appreciated. I would not hesitate to recommend Elvin and Ace of Dents.
  9. There's a guy up just north of the GWB that is willing to work with me on cost to go up there. Probably will be running up. He's got some impressive examples of his work online.
  10. Jason passed, says he can't do it. Dent wizard only does work at dealer locations. The search continues.
  11. That sucks. Hopefully I hear back from him tomorrow and he'll come out to my workplace. If not I'll have to wait till I'm off or I find someone else.
  12. Thanks, that's one of the places I emailed. You've used him?
  13. Anyone use a PDR guy? I found several online, emailed the 3 closest to me. Looking to remove the evidence of my temporary lack of focus and total stupidity which resulted in a dent in my truck.
  14. Lot of good info here: https://forum.dashcamtalk.com
  15. I'd say they're trying to pull a fast and expensive one on you. I've used Central Jersey Chimney for several years now. I needed some repoint work done, cap put on, and masonry steps redone. Mike is a straight shooter, no BS type guy. 609-259-8800
  16. That's the main reason I've been using the same agent since '91. Trying to compare rates when they're not always presented the same drives me nuts.
  17. Yeah, the more I think about it, full coverage is probably not a financially sound decision. Especially considering it will not see much road time. I have to admit, the attitude I got from the woman on the phone when I called Rider last night most likely factored into fueling my urge to shop around some.
  18. For a second bike that will see very little mileage, yes, I think close to $120 is too much. Although this brings up an entirely different opinion I have. Liability insurance should be on the driver, not the car. I can only operate 1 vehicle at a time, the only reason to pay liability multiple times is to jack up the rates.
  19. Cycle must be valued greater than $3500 for Hagerty to write a policy. Having some trouble getting valuation on it. It's a CM 450C, the websites I've checked do not list a 450C (as in custom), similar bikes seemed to be valued below $3500 though. I did get quotes through progressive and GEICO, and am now considering switching my Harley to one of them as well. I can't stand any of their freaking commercials, but they do have good rates. Might need to look at auto as well. I do like the fact that I've got auto, home, and life all through one agent. Only one I've had since leaving my parent's policy. They actually know me by name and face if I walk into the office. I had my Harley and V-Star before that insured through them as well until they doubled the rates.
  20. I know there's some other riders on here so I thought I'd toss this out here. I currently have a 2007 Harley insured with Rider, I'm going to be the new custodian to my deceased friend's 1984 Honda. He bought it new, right out of the crate. I called Rider to get a quote for the '84; they will only offer Liability on anything 30 years or older, and want over $100 a year (multi bike discount included). I do not intend to put many miles on the Honda, probably less than 100, she's only got 3000 and change now. $100+ for <100 miles a year Liability only seems mighty damn high to me. If it included full coverage, I'd be more comfortable with the price. I promised my friend I would take care of his bike and I just want to make sure I am able to keep that promise if anything bad happens. Keep in mind, I'm already paying liability now through the Harley, and I'm the only licensed Rider on the policy and in the household. So... Do any of you have or had experience with a Classic/Historic cycle? I know that there are companies that specialize in insurance for Classic/Historic autos and will be looking into them as well. Edit to add: I will also be looking into the company he had it insured through, but I need to get that info from his wife. Also, he was from PA, so there's the possibility that they don't write policies in our friendly State.
  21. They can tell car is registered in NJ by the inspection sticker.

    Ammo questions

Sorry for my lack of knowledge, but could you define "in-spec" ammo please? Do you mean matching caliber (5.56 not 223 in a 5.56) or something else? I typically go with "popular" ammo. I run American Eagle for my 9mm and CCI in my 22s. $60-80 on 1000 rounds is not likely to sway me. $80 on 500 rounds would be more tempting.
