  1. I've never been to one and I'm interested - what kind of bargains can one expect in these shows?
  2. Has anyone been shooting at Tenafly on Sunday evenings lately? These comments from a couple of years back still valid? I'm shooting IDPA at Old Bridge mostly but wanted to try out the centerfire steel knockdown 4th Sundays of the month. Any comments, advice or tips is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  3. Sorry, thought it was Saturday - Easton Fish and Game has an IDPA match on Sunday Aug 24: http://www.nepaidpascores.net/efga/efga_club_master.html
  4. According to the schedule, there's an IDPA Match this Sunday at Easton: http://www.nepaidpascores.net/cgi-bin/shooting_schedule.pl?req=idpa it says Saturdays on the schedule but EFGA's calendar says Sunday the 28th, so you might want to check
  5. Thanks OBRAMS, I re-read the post and missed the "OR". I will definitely be there. LOL - I like to argue with those retards for Fun! They're the ones getting hyped, I'm LMFAO. You from Chilltown?
  6. Hi, I've shot at OBDOGS(incl the BUG match) before but missed the classifier this year. Can I register for the match? Thanks - Alex
  7. Wow, awesome, I was born in Cabanatuan City - is it to reference the POW rescue there? The lead guerrilla commander, who we knew in my town as Governor Eduardo Joson was my Godfather! My dad worked for him as his provincial attorney in the 60s in Nueva Ecija. I remember my dad's twin .30 cal Paratrooper Carbines he kept in the clothes closet, they were beautiful, Alas, there was no easy way to have them imported when we emigrated to NJ. Thank you for this remembrance of our shared WWII history.
  8. Just took my Bow class today - if you are within one year of the last time you passed the safety part of the course, you can just take the the specific weapon test. Mine was over a year so I had to take the first 40 questions again. If you read the manual, watch the DVD and pay attention to the field walk through, you won't have a problem making 32 of 40.
  9. Thank you for your response, EMT_SAR, she is really into it and would love to harvest her first deer this year. First time she tasted venison, decided to become a hunter. LOL.
  10. Thanks ECShooter, we'll bring our current license and study the course anyway JIC. Cheers!
  11. Hi - hoping someone can answer this: my 12 year old daughter and I are planning to take the bow test tomorrow (with a crossbow with a hand crank for her) we've already passed the shotgun test last year, will we have to take the non-bowhunting questions in the written test, or just the bow-specific items? Thanks, Alex
  12. Hi - i'm Alex C., stumbled on this forum searching for IDPA matches other than the usual ones in OBDOGS, Somerset and Phillipsburg. I know about the NEPA IDPA site but most of those are out of a day's driving range. I'm a member of the Easton Fish and game - it's a little far, but for $30 a year, can't be beat. I usually shoot at the pistol range in Bayonne (they allow steel cased ammo, unlike other ranges). Used to shoot trap (and former member) of North Jersey Clay in Fairfield, but that sport is too tough(and too serious) for me, so I gave it up and mostly shoot IDPA nowadays. recently shot in OBDOGS BUG match and found some of the guys here that shot in my squad - that was a lot of fun. Looking forward to getting lots of good info on this site. Thanks and good shooting! my Zombie Tools collection: top to bottom, Vakra, Hellion and Apokatana
  13. Thanks to all the SO's and shooters - that was a fun match - first time I used my 9mm EMP for IDPA. It shot better than expected, just one FTE shooting in the prone position on that stage where we had to lie down. Anyone have the scores yet? Last time I shot there somehow my email was not entered in the system. Looking forward to shooting with you guys again.
