Thanks, Mr. Stu. Good info. Regarding the failure to stay attached, do you mean the whole shebang came off or just part? Any idea if the Safariland has the same issue? (The paddles are very similar.)
-
At the risk of starting a holy war, I think the issue with SERPA holsters is a training issue. If you are indexing the holster as you would the pistol (i.e., straight index finger) then the problem will not happen. That said, the Safariland version avoids this possibility altogether (i.e., crooked booger hook sliding into the trigger guard during the draw and causing a bang).

Would like to know this too. My app got kicked back to HTPD and my refs still haven't been contacted. I sent the FA unit an email on Wed but haven't heard anything. I will call them next week. This is all so tiring and ridiculous...

I just saw this morning that Sinema has left the Ds to be an I. Not sure who she is going to caucus with but this has the potential to gum up things for Chucky and co. -
Oregon sheriffs won't enforce new gun law
Xtors replied to M1152's topic in National Gun Law Discussion
Well, that didn’t take long. Moments ago, a judge in Oregon blocked enforcement of Oregon’s Ballot Measure 114. Judge Richard Raschio placed a temporary restraining order on the law which would have taken effect Thursday, December 8th. Guns Owners of America and the GOA Foundation are the organizations behind this along with Gliff Asmussen and Joseph Arnold. https://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/breaking-court-blocks-oregons-ballot-measure-114/ -
Good to know. I am built the same way. Thanks!

Looks interesting. I like the extra length. How snug around the waste are they if untucked?

NJ LAWMAKERS ANNOUNCE PLANS TO DESTROY RIGHT TO CARRY
Xtors replied to M1152's topic in Pending Legislation Discussion
Do you have to opt-in to receive these emails from ANJRPC or something? I have been a member for a while now and never get anything from them. -
So far no calls but I am also wondering if they might sign off based on recent P2Ps, on which I had two of the same references I put on the PTC application. I have made me references aware of the situation and if I don't hear anything mid-next week I'll contact the township.
-
He said they weren't sending back the entire application and that they needed HTPD to let them know if they contacted the references, and, if not, to let them know when it was done. It wasn't entirely clear on how they would be doing it but he did say there was a whole bunch of applications in this same situation. Also, it sounded like someone else in the court would be handling notifying HTPD. I will pass along any updates I am lucky enough to get.

Your timing is impeccable! (See the post above yours)

For Hamilton/Mercer peeps ( @GodStrength @bennj), I just spoke to the court clerk, who was very nice. My references were never contacted, which I knew, so the court is sending a note back to the township to see if it was done, and if not, to do it. On the plus side he said, "other than that you are good to go." What that means time-wise once the township corrects their mistake is anyone's guess. FWIW, this also just happened to my father in Burlington County. Incompetence? Intentional?

NJ Handgun Carry Permit Application Experience

Good. I'd be down for same in Mercer. -
Sure seems that way.
-
Yes, but it seems like since then not much is going on. GodStrength is ahead of me by a month roughly and nothing... That could certainly explain it.
-
What township are you in? Hamilton takes the money order after they are done their part. In general I agree with @bennj in that it sure seems like things have ground to a halt in Mercer.
-
Did you call the firearms unit? The woman who works there is usually pretty easy to work with. I will be calling the court this week, most likely followed by an email to the strike force.

Good article and completely agree. The problem, though, is that the left is appealing based on emotion and this strategy, while better, is more logic/fact based. It's hard to compete with people screaming "WE HAVE TO DO SOMETHING!" and "IF IT SAVES JUST ONE LIFE" at the top of their reeeeeeeeeeeeeing lungs. That said, NICS data over the last couple years along with some recent mainstream polls showing much lower support for gun control does offer some hope. -

True, but USLS isn't liability insurance. -
Is anyone else seeing a shortage of heavy cream in their AO? I went to 4 different stores across the county and bupkiss. Plenty of other dairy products. Thanksgiving rush? Conspiracy? Cows on strike?

I applied about a month after you and had the same time with Ham PD.
