  1. First confirmed prequel looks like it will be out next year. Already changed the name from long night to blood moon. Already a long running theory that the night king is a Stark bastard of Bael the Bard the wildling king and a Stark princess. I'm betting they build up a Jon Snow like character that we will love the next turn him bad like Daenarys's character arc.
  2. $18.75 https://www.lwrci.com/p-396-ambi-selector-switch.aspx
  3. Dragon riding has a special bond like warging. Warging leaves some of you in the animal and the big theory is some of Dany was in Drogon. Since she loves Jon, Drogon loved Jon. This is why he specifically burns the throne. If Dany can't have it, nobody will. targs have killed each other with dragons many times over in their history. Being a Targ doesn't keep you safe from dragons or fire, as we saw with Danny's brother Viserys. GRRM's fault the final season was only 6 episodes. Ideally, all of season 8 would've been around the night king and season 9 would've revolved around taking the iron throne. There just wasn't enough material since the books aren't done (and no near finish in sight) and the cast and crew were way past ready to move on. Not everyone wanted to continue doing the show so they just finished it. cant blame him for enjoying himself. Yippee ki yay. Good for him. I didn't love the finale but I didn't hate it either. The show had to end and this was just an ending.
  4. I've used Rosetta's stone for 2 different languages. You can probably finish 1-2 levels in 3 months depending on how much time you commit to it.
  5. Happy Mother's Day, Cersei.
  6. Technically nothing you do is permanent. Knee replacement for example tends to last about ten years. Best way to think about it is that stem cells will make that part younger than it was, but it'll then still age from there.
  7. 4 year was specific for prolonging TKA. It doesn't surprise me that it could be only 2 years for arthritis in the body part your wife needed it in. Different procedures will have different success rates and different outcomes. Who told me? I wrote the faux Cochrane resulting in major hospital networks changing their protocol to reduce bleed events and hospital stays in TKA and THA. That's done with access to thousands of patient data, not just anecdotal evidence. So I know because ive seen the data, though keep in mind nothing is ever 100%. in every strong dataset, there are always people on the short side. Think those that survive an accident because they DID NOT wear their seatbelt and would've died if they wore one. That doesn't mean we start recommending no seat belts.
  8. Obviously, no procedures is 100% effective. Just understanding the mechanism, If someone only gets a few months of relief then the treatment has likely failed in that patient. Last I checked, the (limited data since this is all still new) showed that specifically knee replacements can be put off by at least 4 years in successful treatments. This is likely a low estimate since we don't have decades worth of data and because the majority of the subjects have yet to do a total knee; it's hard to say how long stem cell treatments for these specific patients last until thousands of stem cell injected knee patients actually need to get their knee replaced. Also, the methods or application may have improved so that data from even 5 years ago means nothing today. and the data will be different depending on what is being treated too. Total knee and total hip don't have the same incidence of bleed events or length of hospital stays, for example, even though the procedure might seem similar. anyway, thanks for sharing the experience and the info via pm. Keep us updated with any info you are comfortable sharing over the next several months.
  9. I know a foot surgeon who was recommending stem cells for torn Achilles. In a lot of instances it was cheaper paying out of pocket than surgery was under insurance. Although the doc said outcomes were generally the same, the heal time was significantly faster with stem cells since there wasn't invasive cutting. I know there is a lot more positive data for torn Achilles in particular, but definitely worth a try for comparable connective tissue type injuries if you have the cash. Outcomes have largely been positive, the data just doesn't have a large enough sample size as of now. Can I ask where you got it done and with which doc?
  10. remember that the book for this season isn't written so characters like Tyrion and Varys especially aren't as witty with their dialogue. Seasons 1-6 Tyrion's dialogue was directly from the books. It's more plot driven than character development since the show runners are trying to finish off the show. Also...
  11. Hadn't considered that but would explain why she was left behind at Winterfell. The story there may not be over.
  12. Hated what they did with Brienne in episode 4. Her character arc was completed in episode 2; I would've preferred she died honorably in episode 3.
  13. I wonder what characters those will be. About 8000 years back is start of age of heroes and about 200 years back is when the Targaryans arrive from Valeria. Is 1000 the Andal invasion? Will it even be set in Westeros as Valeria is still considered the greatest civilization ever 200 years after its destruction? Cool stuff. EDIT Apparently 5 different spin offs were considered. Only one has been canceled so far and only one has been set to put out a pilot. The confirmed pilot is 5000 years back during the age of heroes. Probably Bran the Builder and Lann the Clever. It'll be in Westeros as Valeria and Targaryans weren't really a thing at that's time. Probably a lot of north of the wall stuff that will solve the history disparity between the north and wildlings. https://www.pastemagazine.com/articles/2019/04/bryan-cogmans-game-of-thrones-prequel-has-been-pas.html
  14. I think this was canceled. if you are just looking for background and aren't into all the books then there are some great YouTube explanations that also tie a lot of information together. in deep geek - probably my favorite but a lot of other good channels bridge4 - has excellent explanations but also very fan theory heavy. It's fun if you are doing something mindless and have it playing in the background. He's also right most of the time.
  15. I couldn't get through the first season. The acting was terrible. and I read all the Bob Lee Swagger books, the books where the dad is the lead, and the prequel books. Loved the series. The show sucks.
  16. I know but would still be much cheaper than a single six.
  17. I'm not often in the Charlotte area, but that county is rough for 2A. Tons of gun stores between Greensboro and Raleigh. My usual is a place in Southern Pines. I know gun store prices in Fayetteville tend to be very high but transfer costs can be as low as $15. A lot of soldiers don't care about money. Once they get their hands on a gun they want, they will buy it then no matter the cost, especially if the gun store has a range on site. A lot of great service and a wealth of knowledge in many of these places. If I do a transfer I always at least buy a box of overpriced ammo after chatting a bit. im not sure how I've never heard of Hyatt though. Will have to make the trip. did Ruger make any mention of making Wranglers in other barrel lengths?
  18. Nice shooting. I was worried the takedown didn't look as smooth with the new rail but looked good on your video. Last question, are the sights removable on these? I was able to lay off last Black Friday, doubt I'll make it this year. I'll likely add a red dot and AFG. Looks so much better with the mlok rail.
  19. https://www.njsp.org/firearms/transport-firearm.shtml unloaded is specifically mentioned here as a requirement in transporting. If anyone knows the specific punishment for not following that specific requirement then that would shed some light on it. also the NJ firearms FAQs loaded bu has been changed. It now says: "How do you transport firearms? Firearms shall be carried unloaded and contained in a closed and fastened case, gunbox, securely tied package, or locked in the trunk of the automobile in which it is being transported. Ammunition must be transported in a separate container and locked in the trunk of the automobile in which it is being transported. If the vehicle does not have a compartment separate from the passenger compartment, the firearm must be in a locked container other than the vehicle's glove compartment or console." https://www.njsp.org/firearms/firearms-faqs.shtml
  20. I'm getting error code 22 trying to load NJ firearms FAQs but the loaded mag question was on that page as being a firearm when I checked it prior to moving up there so this is maybe 2013. I had never heard of Nappen until I joined this forum, which was a few years later. When I first read it on the FAQs and asked a retired NJ or NY (can't remember which state) cop living in Virginia about it, he was fully aware and in support of the loaded mag shenanigans and he maybe retired 2010 or so. His exact words were, "it's not my job to interpret the laws. I would arrest then let a judge decide." He was very entrenched in his opinion on loaded mags sans firearms. I think it would be hard to link his strong position to a Nappen quote. in maybe 2016 I talked to another NJ cop about it. He was also aware, but told me all NJ gun laws are designed to easily prove intent if a crime does occur. He wouldn't arrest solely on a loaded mag but said not all officers see it that way. anyway, so the lesson I took from this was even if you know you aren't doing anything illegal, that won't stop you from being arrested, missing work, and having to spend money on an expensive lawyer. Be safe up there. you all can only dream about what the NC forum complains about.
  21. Every time someone says to go to the the crypt to be safe, I want to make a meme of the night king saying "am I a joke to you?"
  22. King's landing has zero walker experience and no dragon glass. Plenty of wildfire though.
