  1. Another dot... Just watched a business segment with Generac generators, they were saying due to parts shortages, deliveries are out 6 - 7 months....
  2. Yes, you could hear the motor hum, but not start. Second thing I would check is bearings. Does the shaft turn easily? If it's binding, that could also cause it to overheat. A 28 year old pump, my first guess would be bearings. Third, could be a dead spot in the windings. If the motor spins easy and fine, maybe it stopped at a dead spot. Spinning the impeller and trying to restart it would diagnosis it.
  3. We are heading down to the Keys on a RV trip in April. As I look out the window right now, and it's snowing, I want to leave TODAY!!
  4. Meanwhile, in the UK: Disclose.tv @disclosetv NOW - UK PM Boris Johnson: "The government will no longer mandate the wearing of face masks anywhere." 7:56 AM · Jan 19, 2022
  5. Another FREE giveaway (paid for by your tax dollars), get there quick, gonna be a hot item... ....."The Biden administration will begin making 400 million N95 masks available for free to Americans starting next week, now that federal officials are emphasizing their better protection against the omicron variant of COVID-19 over cloth face coverings. The White House announced Wednesday that the masks will come from the government’s Strategic National Stockpile, which has more than 750 million of the highly protective masks on hand. The masks will be available for pickup at pharmacies and community health centers across the country. They will begin shipping this week for distribution starting late next week, the White House said. This will be the largest distribution of free masks by the federal government to the public since the COVID-19 pandemic began. In early 2020, then-President Donald Trump’s administration considered and then shelved plans to send masks to all American at their homes. President Joe Biden embraced the initiative after facing mounting criticism this month over the inaccessibility — both in supply and cost — of N95 masks as the highly transmissible omicron variant swept across the country. https://www.nj.com/coronavirus/2022/01/biden-to-give-away-400m-n95-masks-starting-next-week.html
  6. I just checked the ones I have. It doesn't actually say where they're made. Ironic, the USA get the virus from China, then the USA goes back to China to buy all types of masks, test kits and other PPE... and you thought China was a Communist country... Sounds like they're a better Capitalistic country than us..
  7. No... Because I'm an idiot, and ordered and paid for a bunch of test kits weeks and months ago, you know, to be prepared.... Will Brandon reimburse me for what I paid, since everyone else will get theirs FREE now? Yet, half of the population wants to put the government in charge of their personal and medical affairs... since government knows best and is the most efficient.. Paranoid tests for the mentally unstable Karens.
  8. Here's a picture of the ones they were showing on TV when they were advertising the free tests. I have the same ones here that I already bought. Look at the second picture, I took a pic of the back of the box. Guess where they are made? Amazing stuff...
  9. Not good... I saw this list of what we import from Canada... looks like quite a bit: Mineral fuels including oil: US$69.1 billion (17.7% of total exports) Vehicles: $46.5 billion (11.9%) Machinery including computers: $28.9 billion (7.4%) Gems, precious metals: $23 billion (5.9%) Wood: $13.5 billion (3.4%) Plastics, plastic articles: $12.4 billion (3.2%) Electrical machinery, equipment: $11 billion (2.8%) Ores, slag, ash: $9.9 billion (2.5%) Aircraft, spacecraft: $9.7 billion (2.5%) Pharmaceuticals: $8.5 billion (2.2%)
  10. Keep in mind, the KN95 masks that are mandated and handed out to Congress are also made in China.. You really can't make this crap up in Hollywood!
  11. Quick, sign up for your FREE Covid tests, before stock runs out! https://www.covidtests.gov/ Americans on Tuesday started placing orders for free Covid tests promised by the Biden administration after the federal government rolled out the website a day earlier than expected — with some complaining on social media that they were blocked from ordering the tests. White House press secretary Jen Psaki said the website, covidtests.gov, is in its testing phase and will officially launch Wednesday morning. Orders placed during the website’s testing phase Tuesday are valid and will be shipped, White House spokesman Kevin Munoz told CNBC. Every household, based on residential address, is limited to four tests. The White House said last week it capped the number of tests people can order to ensure broad access to the program. The Postal Service will ship the tests 7 to 12 days after orders are placed, according to the Biden administration. The website on Tuesday said orders would start shipping at the end of the month.
  12. Well, this should really help make things better.... NOT... What crosses the Northern border by truck? I know cars are assembled up there, building materials, what else might be affected? Vaccine Mandate for Cross Border Trucking Now in Effect, Mandate for Domestic Trucking Begins in a Week, Prepare Your Affairs Accordingly Keep in mind, any impact is taking place in a supply chain system that is already tenuous and unstable at best. A small disruption that may have been minimally significant against a fully operational supply chain, is more likely to be a much bigger disruption in a supply chain that is already under a severe amount of demand side stress. Somewhere in the range of 16,000 to 38,000 daily loads are likely to be impacted. The truth is no one knows how bad the disruption will be. What we do know is that there will be disruption, and there is no infrastructure for a level of rig-switching at the border crossing region that could accommodate changing rigs, drop-offs and/or pick-ups or driver transfers on the scale that is being discussed. The logistics here are a total mess. https://theconservativetreehouse.com/blog/2022/01/16/vaccine-mandate-for-cross-border-trucking-now-in-effect-mandate-for-domestic-trucking-begins-in-a-week-prepare-your-affairs-accordingly/

  14. Is there a "Snopes" or "Factcheck.org" for gun laws? Asking for a friend...
  15. Not in the eyes if the Dems. They don't want you to be able to protect yourself.
  16. I don't think it will be a big worry yet. From the thread 1LTCAP started the other day, look at the pricing:' ......" SmartGunz would not say which law enforcement agencies are testing its weapons, which are secured by radio frequency identification. SmartGunz developed a model selling at $1,795 for law enforcement and $2,195 for civilians, said Tom Holland, a Kansas Democratic state senator who co-founded the company in 2020. " How many people could afford it?
  17. Does not having state income tax matter, at that point? I know many retirees move to Florida to escape NJ state income taxes. But, I've been pregaming my 2021 taxes, since it's the first year neither of us have W2 income. It appears that we won't have any NJ state income tax, since NJ doesn't tax SS income and gives an exclusion amount on pension and retirement income. So I wonder if the lack of state income tax in Florida makes any difference at that point? Now, the NJ property tax.... I could really do without that..
  18. Look what article pops up today. Definitely food for thought, based on the direction of the country. Plan accordingly! Should You Move While You Can, Or When You Must? Moving is a difficult decision, so we hesitate. But when the window to do so closes, it's too late. We always think we have all the time in the world to ponder, calculate and explore, and then things change and the options we once had are gone for good. Moving to a new locale is difficult for those of us who are well-established in the place we call home. Once you put down roots in a home, work/enterprise, schools, neighborhood and networks, it's a herculean task to move. Knowing this, I don't ask this question lightly: Should You Move While You Can, Or When You Must? The question is consequential because the window in which we still have options can slam shut with little warning. Social collapse has consequences, and so we have to ask: where do we want to be in the vast human herd when social order unravels? The vista of solid ground stretching endlessly to the horizon may turn out to be a mirage, and the cliff edge is closer than we imagine. https://www.zerohedge.com/personal-finance/should-you-move-while-you-can-or-when-you-must
  19. I think I'm seeing a pattern here... Ya know... we're going to start billing you, for all this education we're providing.... Where do we send the invoice for the consultation fee?
  20. It's going to get worse, before it gets better. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED !!!! When Reuters reports this (who normally protects Brandon), you know it's getting real! U.S. grocery shortages deepen as pandemic dries supplies (Reuters) - High demand for groceries combined with soaring freight costs and Omicron-related labor shortages are creating a new round of backlogs at processed food and fresh produce companies, leading to empty supermarket shelves at major retailers across the United States. Growers of perishable produce across the West Coast are paying nearly triple pre-pandemic trucking rates to ship things like lettuce and berries before they spoil. Myers said transportation disruptions in the last three weeks, caused by a lack of truck drivers and recent highway-blocking storms, have led to a doubling of freight costs for fruit and vegetable producers, on top of already-elevated pandemic prices. "We typically will ship, East Coast to West Coast – we used to do it for about $7,000," he said. "Today it’s somewhere between $18,000 and $22,000." Birds Eye frozen vegetables maker Conagra Brands' CEO Sean Connolly told investors last week that supplies from its U.S. plants could be constrained for at least the next month due to Omicron-related absences. Earlier this week, Albertsons CEO Vivek Sankaran said he expects the supermarket chain to confront more supply chain challenges over the next four to six weeks as Omicron has put a dent in its efforts to plug supply chain gaps. https://news.yahoo.com/u-grocery-shortages-deepen-pandemic-180518711.html
  21. A long time ago... but now, Brandon is protecting him. But, the heat is being turned up on him. His financial disclosures were just leaked... to say, they're "interesting", between he and his wife/husband, (not sure what "it" is) below. These revelations might really put some pressure on him to leave.
