unloco 2 Posted July 1, 2009 I was given a folding stock for the GSG 5 rifle...i know thats a no no in NJ, but just curious: i really like the look of it on my rifle. Is there any way i can make this stock "legal" and useable on my rifle? I really dont need to have it folded. Is there a "get around" or way i can have it permanantly locked in the open or extended position and is this legal???
Chad 3 Posted July 1, 2009 If it is permanently pinned in the open position it will be NJ legal. AFAIK.
unloco 2 Posted July 1, 2009 Could it be epoxied in place or does it have to be pinned...or both?
tony357 386 Posted July 1, 2009 Just got off the phone with the dem's.. If you do it yourself you must: 1: epoxy the two parts together. 2: pin them after the epoxy cured. 3: wrap with electrical tape. 4: hoseclamp it in place with loctite on the worm gear. Ain't life a b*tch..

unloco 2 Posted July 9, 2009 Ok guys, here are some images of the folding stock "pinned for NJ" in the unfolded permanant position. I also went ahead and upgraded all the pins and screws, added a cocking lever bushing and mag clip. Added a red dot and im ready for the range....my scource was RRAGES.COM They got all the basic goodies for us GSG 5 fans...enjoy!! Closeup showing the size of rivet i used. It was long enough to disable the function of the fold release lever on the side...
