A bill introduced in the New Jersey Legislature is pushing for a "Stand Your Ground" law in the state.

It expands the justifiable uses of force and deadly force when people are defending themselves.

A "Stand Your Ground" law drew scrutiny in 2012 when George Zimmerman used it to justify his killing of Trayvon Martin in Florida.

The introduced measure is unlikely to gain support in a Democratic-controlled legislature.

Key point.  There’s no way this doesn’t die in committee.

I see it as ANYTIME there is a pro-gun effort it is a positive in this state.
