Ordering Ammo online

Recommended Posts

Check out glensoutdoors.com. They have .380 and 9mm in stock from what i saw. The prices on the 9mm are as low as $10 a box/50 too.

Their .380 isn't cheap but that's because it's so darned hard to get. I did pick up some aluminum Blazer for the range though.

I know they ship to NJ because I just opened a package from them. :)

Thanks for sharing, Amer Eagle 9mm FMJ brass case for $11/50 is a deal in current ammo market.

Just ordered from Glenns (AMER eagle 9mm for $11.95 per which is still a good deal).

I did not see anywhere to put DL or FPID # on website.

Is it needed?

Just enjoy your ammo when it comes and don't worry about it. They aren't an NJ company so they aren't bound by that law. Same reason you don't pay sales tax. Which of course, I know as a responsible citizen, you are reporting to the NJ tax department on your forms each year right?

2C:39-3. Prohibited weapons and devices

Any person, other than a collector of firearms or ammunition as curios or relics as defined in Title 18, United States Code, section 921 (a) (13) and has in his possession a valid Collector of Curios and Relics License issued by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, who knowingly has in his possession any body armor breaching or penetrating ammunition, which means: (a) ammunition primarily designed for use in a handgun, and (b) which is comprised of a bullet whose core or jacket, if the jacket is thicker than.025 of an inch, is made of tungsten carbide, or hard bronze, or other material which is harder than a rating of 72 or greater on the Rockwell B. Hardness Scale, and © is therefore capable of breaching or penetrating body armor, is guilty of a crime of the fourth degree. For purposes of this section, a collector may possess not more than three examples of each distinctive variation of the ammunition described above. A distinctive variation includes a different head stamp, composition, design, or color.

Most of the AP I've seen is a rifle caliber which seems just fine under NJ statutes. I know of nothing Federal. The standard M855 military round is an AP and readily sold anywhere. much 30-06 AP is also sold all over. The only prohibitation is from the ranges themselves, ours included in some areas.

Hey RsCalzo,

I missed this post. I must have thought the handgun ammo thing was federal. I remember reading somewhere that the ammo for the FN 5.7 was next to impossible to get. Is that classified as a pistol round, even though the carbine is the "Main" weapon?
