ianargent 7 Posted January 16, 2010 At least by map, the closest all-weather range to me (Union Co is closer, but not all-weather, and I can't currently shoot the Suburban Pistol League on Wed nights once they DO restart) appears to be this place. Anyone here a member, or ever gone there? Any info appreciated
Melgamatic 66 Posted January 16, 2010 I haven't gone yet, but I've met the membership VP a few times at the New Jersey Firearms Guild in Rahway. It's a 22LR club only. They are especially proud of the youth shooting programs. I think their youth team goes to Camp Perry every year. -Dave
ianargent 7 Posted January 16, 2010 Their website claims non-magnum handgun as well. If I can do that and .22 bolt I'll be happy. (and one of these days I'll either go get another permit and a .22 pistol, or the .22 kit for my glock)
mikeyboyeee 66 Posted January 16, 2010 John Fox is a member there (and board member I believe). He took me there for my 1st experience shooting a handgun. NO magnum rounds. It is an indoor 25yd range only, private club. John is an EXTREMELY knowledgeable member here and I am SURE he will be more then willing to show you around there. I would join, but frankly, I am not good enough to be only shooting 25 yards indoors. I can barely see that far and I need to practice 7-15 yards before I am good enough to go 25. John Fox 5 Posted January 16, 2010 The range handles most handguns other than magnums and 22 rifles. If you practise at 25 yards, you will have no problem with shorter distances. Yes I am a board member and can answer just about any question you may have about the club. Leave me messages here on this great forum and I will contact you. John Fox 5 Posted January 16, 2010 Went today with three relative noobies and they did well at 25 yards [one with a 9mm].
