Question on FNAR gas screw

Recommended Posts

Guest

Anyone familiar with this one? the FNAR.

I have one, its identical to the browning BAR.

Has anyone tweaked the gas screw?

Better cycling timing can be had by making adjustments.

I closed mine, then went out 1 1/2 turns, it seems good there with 150gr.

Anyone else got any ideas on this one?

So I took it back to the range today, shut the gas valve, fired a round. Chamber stayed shut.

One turn of the gas screw to the open position, and the action was smooth and cycling timing is perfect.

I went too far out on the first try, 3 turns open, the action slammed back too hard. So a little tweaking of the gas cylinder was all it took.

The FNAR is probably one of the most accurate 308's I have seen....
