What are some of the mantras from the mainstream media that you hear parroted by non gun owners?

Here are a few of my favorites:

 

1) "I'm not against the Second Amendment, but no one needs to own an assault weapon."

 

Do these people have any clue what an assault weapon is? They assume it's an AR15, because Piers Morgan and others tell them so.

 

2) "No one should need more than ten bullets to kill a deer." (Heard Cuomo say this again just yesterday.)

 

Who says it's about hunting? What if you just enjoy shooting and don't want to have to keep reloading your mag?

Or worse, what if you're being attacked by multiple adversaries?

 

3) "When the Constitution was written, they were using muskets."

 

Yes, and so were the bad guys. I would hate to be defending myself with a musket against a BG, or worse, several of them with modern semiautomatic weapons.
