This is important to every gun owner in NJ. The NJ Senate has several anti gun bills pending including one that will ban everything but single and double barrel shotguns with very few exceptions. S 2497. It is critical that you call the Senate Majority office at 609-847-3700 and tell them that you oppose any further gun restrictions. This is an immediate ban with no grandfathering. If this bill is passed, NJ will have the first DOOR TO DOOR CONFISCATIONS. Make the call.

STATEMENT

 

This bill revises the definition of “large capacity ammunition magazine” to reduce the number of rounds of ammunition a legal magazine may hold in this State.

Under current law, it is unlawful to own or possess an ammunition magazine that is capable of holding more than 15 rounds of ammunition.

 

This bill would reduce the maximum capacity of a legal ammunition magazine in New Jersey to five rounds.
