twong11219 0 Posted February 8, 2013 Most hobbyist or collectors have more than one interest. Knives are usually one of them, so I'm gonna start the ball rolling on this one. LET'S SEE THOSE CUSTOMS. Here's my Les Voorhies Model 9 in S30V with IKBS. My Elson Dreadlock Lite in CPM154 Can't have a collection without one. My Hinderer XM-18. This is a Gen 3 in 20CV and textured carbon fiber scale. Yes, technically it's a semi-custom, but it's the closest I can get without selling a kidney. For formal night in the town, a Nihiser Wharncliff with silver twill G10 in S30V. My first custom acquisition. A Hedlund Bravo (4th one ever made) in RWL34 And lastly, my Zermeno Azrael 3" in Bos treated S30V with carbon fiber scale. I've been waiting since 2010 for a Scott Cook Lochsa in S90V. Hopefully one day, he'll delivery. Enjoy.

twong11219 0 Posted February 9, 2013 Thanks. My knife collecting has screeched to a halt, and my interest have shifted more to lead dispensers.
Flamed03 0 Posted May 6, 2013 How is the cpm steel??
twong11219 0 Posted May 8, 2013 CPM makes some of the best and popular steels out there. S30V, S35VN, S90V, S110V, CPM154, etc. My Dreadlock performs just as well as the others. Edge retention is great. Might be easier to sharpen compared to some other steels, but it does have a bit of abrasion toughness.
