  1. Awesome. Glad you like it...I agree. For me, I always avoided the Ruger Mark 2 and 3 pistols as despite being accurate and well built, the guns were pain in the ass to clean. This is even easier than the Smith Victory and 22A pistols.
  2. Video premier at 8PM! Come join in on the chat on YouTube. Like, Share, Sub!
  3. I am not going to go into whether or not gun laws are effective as that is besides the point... In essence you are saying that if we think the law is stupid... we should do anything we can to get around it? Bump stocks are stupid... pistol braces for the 99% of people are stupid (the 1% being people who actually use them as braces), and while I do think they are silly and would not get one for myself, I do value the right for them to exist and I agree they help the 2A. BUT... I don't think gun owners have a lot to complain about as they were somehow wronged because the intent of those products was to get around existing laws... in particular the Braces which were stocks with a velcro strap which avoids the $200 tax stamp. Bump stocks... machine guns for the poor. lol. BUT as we saw... when we have crazy nut jobs recently commit mass shootings with those very same loopholes, it only gives Democrats more ammunition. AFter all, no sane gun owner would conceal carry an "AR Pistol" and no self respecting gun owner actually wanted a bump stock. lol.(especially when you can bump fire without it.) All of these innovations are largely for the industry to make as much money as they can before it gets shut down. It's the gun owners who get stuck holding the bag. On the current "other firearm" trend, 3 of the companies I spoke with over the past month or two are shocked that they lasted this long. And a number of large firearms manufacturers were shocked the pistol braces were let go as long as they have. Heck... even the folks at the NFA organizations were shocked... BUT pretty much all are in agreement... "A nail that sticks out get hammered." This is especially critical for massive trends. The faster they grow, the more attention they are going to attract. So I guess in essence... yes I do agree NFA laws are kind of silly, BUT let's discuss and go after those... rather than explicit loopholes made to get around existing gun laws. Because from the outside... as these shootings do... it only reinforces the idea of... "See, those gun nuts don't care about laws and will do anything they can to get around them. They don't even want to discuss them." A great example of how it should be handled is what they are doing in VT or NH with suppressors. Going after and educating liberal democrats about hearing protection.
  4. Read the first post. =) First Tuesday of the month in the evening.
  5. So ATF merely changed the way they measure to match the way NJSP had already measured it. In all of the docs posted here, pretty much 12" is what you needed with SBA3 to not have to pin the flash hider/brake. Troy and DSI guns come with 12.5" and I don't see why they didn't go that route from the beginning. Having the ability to put your own choice of muzzle device without permanently modifying a barrel is a win in my book. Plus the additional 1" should help with velocities, reduce recoil and increase accuracy.
  6. They have no plans to enter the Non-NFA/Other Firearm game. Neither did any of the other major manufacturers. They all believe the writing is on the wall.
  7. Well... let's take a step back... There is PRe-86 machine guns and then there are SBRs. Pistol braces are a way around SBRs and most sane gun owners know that. I think the solution is simply reclassify braces same as stocks. It's a never ending cycle... ATF creates law to regulate a loophole.... industry comes out with new product with a new loophole.... people go crazy buying it.... crazy people do crazy stuff... ATF creates law to regulate a loophole.
  8. Still wish I can get them to come out or get me and @Rufio.Weaponworks a gun to review. What I know is that so far I have a Troy A4 which we have throughly beat up and the Troy rep came out to two media events we were putting together. @TechOpsInternational I also have a Dark Storm Variant 1 and @Dark Storm is coming out this week for us to thoroughly test their guns. No matter which guns you buy... you are support small businesses, including the retailers and ranges.
  9. hahaha. No. Actually my wife carries one daily in her bag. nice assist opener too.
  10. Awesome. What color did you pick it up in?
  11. Yikes. Did not know he used a drum. That rigid "brace" however is essentially as good as done however. So I have two of these Non-NFA firearms, the Troy A4 and a Dark Storm Variant 1. Finished up with over 1k rounds of the Troy A4. Zero issues, zero malfunctions of any kind. Shot both suppressed and unsuppressed. Video out tomorrow...
  12. I was having this discussion with @TechOpsInternational and @FreedomSportsLLC. @TechOpsInternational has a store in Phillipsburg but also has his shop/ffl in PA. Even though "Other firearm" on 4473, it requires the PA handgun form to be filled out. I believe the same would apply for lowers, etc. BUT regular ARs or complete long guns are okay. It's just up to you to know what you need for NJ. I think most of the Eastern PA dealers know about COE forms, but a few that I purchased in PA (when I was a NJ resident) and out of state never even heard of them... and I suppose technically they are not required as it is NJ law, not PA.
  13. Previous owners of CLS are now at Reloaderz. New guy I spoke with once but no follow up.
  14. You can buy a long gun in PA. Most PA FFLs will also fill out an NJ COE... or make sure to have one for them to fill out. Only thing you cannot buy in PA are handguns (as everywhere) and "Other firearms" which are classified by PA State Police and taken out on the handgun forms. Regular long guns are just fine.
  15. Just got an email. 45% off sale for National Knife Day.
  16. Thanks for sharing. Reloading 7.62x39 just kind of seems.... Wrong.
  17. You are 100% spot on bud. In this case was for a couple of really quick cans that I got exceptionally cheap and adding the trust on top of transfer and tax stamp would be more than the cans. Lol. Next ones.
  18. Very cool. How many rounds have you put through it? I do think iron sights on it would be cool too.
  19. Went to my local Walmart and found Leupold RX-650 range finder for only $109 on clearance. They had more than one, but only one was marked. I am assuming they simply did not label the other, but rang up $109.
  20. Was able to organize something special for our upcoming NJGF Meetup. @TechOpsInternational will join us with demo guns for anyone who wanted to try any of the Troy rifles, including the "Non-NFA/Other Firearm" and their other Troy AR15s. Say 7PM as usual @ Garden State Shooting Center @tj462nj I believe @TechOpsInternational will be there earlier as well. 1,000 round test video on the gun coming out this weekend and here is the one I did from our own media day.
