  1. I would contact any FFL, they would know the answer a lot quicker. Or call up Phil @ brick armory. brickarmoryllc.com I will also pm an other name as well.
  2. http://www.idpa.com/ http://www.idpa.com/Documents/IDPARuleBook2005.pdf
  3. Post a message under the events forum. I am definitely interested in IDPA. Never done it, but very much interested in it. I have no problems with letting someone organize a team on here, and esp while this community is growing.
  4. For ray's.... there was a story on nj.com, where a few of the former employees posted... all said they were treated like crap. Also my experience there... employees seemed underpaid, overworked, and underappreciated by the employees... took it out on some customers. Oh well, that is why market economies work.
  5. that is awesome though. I guess I just dont see why not make it as efficient as possible, but then again, if it gets them to their goals, why not right? But it is a great place, with great prices and people. It is good enough now, but I just see sooo much more potential. thanks for your counter view though.
  6. Breaking news... delayed yet again. Just saw on Fox news NY. Lehman's unit was a partner in the complex, but they never paid the 150mil they promised for the project. http://www.myfoxny.com/dpp/news/local_news/new_jersey/090319_Xanadu_Opening_Delayed_to_2010
  7. That or they already groomed their clientel to the hours they open. =) Its good for them though. They have reasonable prices, perhaps the best in NJ, if they are happy with what they make, by all means. I am wondering though if they make it known that they would be open later... how much more business they would get, esp since Ray's closed down. Both ShoreShot and Brick Armory are open until 10pm daily now, and there were people coming in late. Just last night, we got there at 8pm and there were plenty of people there.
  8. So why not cut some hours on the weekdays, and keep it long on weekends? When I was there for the SW demo day... there were 5 or 6 people behind the counter, and 3 range officers. It was packed... so why not run it long to capitalize on it. Personally, if you are running the business, and not the other way around, there is plenty of space for efficiency.
  9. http://www.saveourguns.com/Ar_Marks_Un_Pistol_Train_Guide.pdf Check it out. The official copy that the army uses. You pay the taxes, so it is free domain.
  10. Also take a look at the EAA Witness. http://www.eaacorp.com/EAACatalog.pdf Very similar gun, at better prices.
  11. where in east windsor. That is my hometown. send it in a pm if you want. I worked retail in my earlier days in east windsor for about 10 years. now live in EW and office in Pton.
  12. So... was forced to spend time in the city today while my gf and mother were at a bridal shower in the city... It started at 4pm, and I figured might as well go shoot across the river, 20 mins away at The Bullet Hole. Luckily before wasting my time driving there and paying twice the tolls, I went on their website this morning. They close on saturdays at 5pm.... and same on sundays but they open at 12 and close at 5pm. For a public range... WTF are they thinking. I would of easily stayed for a few hours until 8pm or so. Would of shot through a brick of ammo, bought more targets, more range time, more ammo and probly rent a gun to play with as well.
  13. Will have to ask the owners of Brick Armory about that. Since they just opened the range... I am sure they would know.
  14. While the law is 30 days... it also says $5 for FID and $2 per permit. which is pretty cheap for the work the department does. The $60.25 goes to the state police to do the background.
  15. If you are going to be in central jersey, you are more than welcome to come shoot my 22a.
  16. What socialist town is this in? Welcome to the forum though. If he is a friend, ask him what all you can do to process this up.
  17. they did invest in the catalogs. =P If they open, they will do pretty well. If the NJ transit deal goes through to extend the line into the meadowlands... will be good. The ski slope. the indoor one, have been waiting for that one for 3 years.
  18. wow, that is strange. What was the rent on that thing? Hillsboro was great. Anything in that spot now? If they are not allowing new ranges... how come brick armory was able to open 6 months ago? Maybe it was just the town?
  19. those beretta 92fs's and 1911's sure are popular.
  20. check this website out. Free printable targets. http://www.mytargets.com/

  22. Need your help. Got this list from the Association of Rifle & Pistol Clubs newsletter. www.anjrpc.org Anyone know which of these clubs are still around, and the contact info for them?
  23. Ooh, just came to me. If you want a good 22 that doesnt look all that babyish... look at the walther p22. =) I will pm you a name of a good guy in the area that does firearms sales.
  24. Go rent. Lakewood has two ranges that both rent. Brick Armory and ShoreShot. Since both have stores, they will let you rent, and switch from one to the other to see what you like. Also, do not be afraid to purchase a used handgun. Esp from a store. If taurus or Smith wesson, both have great warranties. the vast majority of used guns that come to market are former safe queens. Someone buys one, doesnt have time to shoot it, sells it.
