Anyone know of any local shops/persons (besides tier one) that do professional grade grip stippling? Mainly striker fired pistols. I currently use grip/skateboard tape and talons but prefer not to attempt stippling it myself as I would most likely F it up. Thanks.

Thanks all but it's ridiculous that it's soo ambiguous and not even attorneys know the exact answer. The only legitimate legal advice I received from an actual 2A attorney is..."best to err on the side of caution and carry only what is listed but if I carry something else, at least get qualified with that just in case something happens so I can try to use that in court as supporting information for whatever the case may be."

I'm only trying to get clarification on what's been printed on the back of the permit. That is... No restrictions BUT there is a list of the firearms that were used to qualify. So if there are "None" restrictions, what's the list for?

I just spoke to 2 prominent 2A attorneys and they both have no idea how to interpret my situation. To reiterate my situation, I have None ticked for restrictions but there is a list of the firearms that I qualified with further below in the white space. There is no mention of being limited to them either. So to summarize, I have None for restrictions, but there is a list of firearms further below. The attorney even called the county judges office to see if they can amend my permit to just have it blank or to get clarification however they said the judge is not amending anyone's permit nor providing how to interpret it. In the end, the attorneys then just recommended to stick with whatever firearm is listed on the back to err on the safe side unless I want to spend a ton of money (which I don't have) to get iron clad clarification. Lovely.

PP and Venmo are extremely anti-2A so it could possibly be a double edged sword to file a fraud claim. What's very interesting is although PP is anti-2A, our forum here uses PP for subscription payment processing...lol

On castle nuts, I actually use anti-seize or lube on the threads then do a proper staking but I'm not entirely sure what is the mil-spec method of securing an old school lock ring. I presume it's a measured torque spec but I'm going to have to do some research. Any idea? LoL

Was there adhesive on the threads? Loctite, rocksett, etc? Also did you still end up buggering the lock ring with the "lock ring" wrench as you had to add additional force? Did the wrench grip the lock ring without slipping?

Yes! Thank you...knew it was called something else but couldn't remember so I just called them old style nuts. Haha

Does anyone know where I can get a spanner wrench with multiple pins (for a good grip) for old style RE castle nuts? See pic... I need the circular dimple pins so I don't muck up the nut.

I'd approach it with extreme care...meaning wait till either the red or white cures first then after 2-3 days at least, move on to the next color and be sure to use blue painters tape. Don't let ANY of the colors bleed into each other.

Try doing a color fill like this... you'll discover it's not that easy.

If I flash anything in the oven, it better be some meatloaf or a casserole otherwise my wife will kick my ass. You should see her reaction whenever I use hoppes in the shop...not even attached to the house!

Curious....anyone ever re-anodize at home or know any local businesses that provide this service? I know US Anodizing in PA is well known but wondering if there is anybody local that can do this and do a good job.
