  1. ouch.... Guns giving you blood eh? Now your wife can complain when you say your time, sweat, blood and money went into the gun. =P Hope you are ok though. Every time I clean my guns, I wear latex gloves... just used to it. the barrells on the 22's are very tight, and when trying to push the cleaning rod down the barrel, when putting more power, my hand rides down and hits the top of the barrel giving me large scrapes, cuts.
  2. Dicks currently advertises UMC remington 9mm etc, for $11.98 if buying 10 boxes, or $12.98 if buying each box. Most stores are out... however when I went in to buy yesterday, boxes of CCI marked $14.99, rang up as a substitue for remingtons, at $12.98. FYI for the local board members. Dicks in Lawrenceville/Princeton had about 20 boxes left as of friday.
  3. Guns? Ammo? Anything? As I walk around the state, and drop by gunstores, some places just seem to be gouging the new shooters with this Obama craze. What is your store charging most for? One place I went to down the shore, supplies were reasonbly priced, but some weapons, well, nearly every handgun was $200 over the price of online or close competitors and rifles were 2x the price. Other stores still have decent prices on guns, but everything else is overpriced. Even when I go to the range, I drop by Dick Sports as at least their ammo, which is $10 a box online, can be had for $12 (case discount) or $13 per box.... as opposed to ranges with $15 and up.
  4. by the same account, even with inflated reload prices... i am sure it is still cheaper to reload than to buy new ammo.
  5. Didnt Shore Shot just recently put in the backfill so that you can bring in Hi power rifles? Though the rumor is in the back of the range are holes. The prices vs BA are alot cheaper, though the range at BA is much nicer. Competition is good. Last time I went into ShoreShot it was starting to be cleaned up. With the Obama craze, I am sure that there is enough business to go around, what will be interesting to see is how competitive they will get once this is over.
  6. now that is one perty little rifle. =P Do they make it in a 9mm?
  7. Have a xd 45gap, ate up anything. what about the ruger?
  8. See, I thought so. =) Rail link would be great. I have many friends and clients in nyc that would love to come out, esp think of all the skiers that dont want to go far, hop on train to meadowlands, ski indoors, and back at home in 30 mins. Currently, the buses that go from port authority or over packed, and only run typically for the games. As far as Jets/Giants stadium... they are ahead of schedule on that, and heard on Bloomberg it would open in Dec? How about they take the old stadium, cover it up, and make it one big range.... or put elements in it and make it a paintball/airsoft field.
  9. How do you like shooting a revolver in a 22? Is it picky with ammo? The ruger picky with the ammo? thanks.
  10. John, that is a very very good point and I am glad you brought it up. when I visited the range and met with the guys there, there was a range officer there. However, on the two occasions I shot there, including a few days ago, there was no range officer in there. I will bring it up to the guys next time i am there. There are a few members here that frequent BA quite often and can offer a more in depth insight.
  11. lego blocks? Did they think lego land would be there? Or wasnt there a roller coaster in the works?
  12. I have the link saved on home pc, but I think there was a great pdf put together... someone can help me out, gunfacts?
  13. the story was... that the outside of Xanadu was to be like lego blocks, different colors... Then again, the big Pepsi wheel was to cover alot of it up. I was really looking forward to the indoor ski slope... But when they are 90% done, I highly doubt they will just leave it unfinished. Someone will come in, offer the cash with a large ownership stake in the complex. It really is a great concept on paper, and if NJ Transit gets the line in there, improvements are made, combined with new Jets/Giants stadium, and if they legalize slot machines at the race track.... it can work very well. My biggest issue is driving up there, and from NY, only way there is NJ Transit busses.
  14. Rates: $18 Walk on, stay as long as you want. (for now?) ammo is decent price They do offer memberships, from what I was told, $250 for pistol, and $350 for pistol/rifle. Go there, check it out.
  15. Saw a chromed Baby eagle at a store recently and it got me thinking. Anyone have or shot one of these? The slide seems soo thin, anyone have issues or pulling the slide back? How is the recoil on these? Any Magnum research forums?
  16. welcome bud. Where in Monmouth? Belong to any clubs?
  17. I am just sitting here after putting through a few hundred rounds through the guns, cleaning them while watching Bones on tv. So... what about you guys?

    Mossberg JIC

I would call Phil at Brick Armory. they would know. Alternatively, just call any ffl and ask if they can order it for you, if they can, you can probly own it. On their systems from distributors, they should be able to tell if nj legal or not. but if Saiga 12 is legal... why not? =)

    Ruger 10/22

was on rimfirecentral, and sure are plenty of modified 10/22's.... do you have to buy a new one if you are going to replace the parts or can you just buy it in parts...?
  22. For anyone with scopes/reddots on their handguns.... Do you remove the dot off of the pistol or leave it on it all the time on the rail? Got a tasco red dot... but doesnt fit in the s&w case. =) so instead of buying a new case.... remove the dot?

    Ruger 10/22

Seems as this is one of the most popular rimfire rifles. Anyone shoot these? How is it versus the remington 597?
