  1. As I look for a new business venture, I am considering opening a new gun store in the Cherry Hill and surrounding area. I am going to start looking into my local zoning laws for a suitable locations and regulations. Anyone here have some useful info for the state level?
  2. I have a pair of English Setters. I love my dogs and hunting with them is really just a long hike with a heavy stick for me, I just watch them work and rarely shoot. I moved them here from Ga, and they have adapted well. I used to hunt them on Ruffs in the N. Ga mountains, along the App Trail. Great stuff.... Hannah is now 12, she is a Lewellen Setter, Belton or blue/black ticked. She is a total bitch, very dominant and tough. I have witnessed her cower bigger and stronger GSPs many times. Which is really funny because she is one of the nicest animals, very silly acting, never grown up and still jumps around like a 4 month old puppy. Great with kids. She only hunted a few times this past season and I think she is done now, he legs are really getting creaky. A real shame...she has given me some great times over the years. Richmond is my 6 yo male, bench style with tricolor markings. One of the most athletic, docile, sweet and handsome animals I have ever met. Problem is, he is about the dumbest also. He gets lost in our back yard! He is a great dog and a wonderful pet. He was a forming into a really good field trial dog when we moved. I have been trying to turn him into a more close working dog, and this last season it seemed to work well.... I hunted him on rabbits and he did well. But he is so fast, I can blink and he will be gone, just running for the fun of it. Then he forgets what he is doing! He is pretty though. Guess which is which?
  3. Poor Soul... Welcome... I am a Cherry Hill res here, but only about 1 mile from DT Haddonfield. I belong to a great outdoor club about 15 minutes from you, Square Circle Sportsman Club in Gibbstown. I would be more then happy to get you out to it sometime as your host. It has trap, outdoor rifle to 100 yards, pistol to 50, indoor pistol and a full archery range, field and target. Shoot me a pm sometime and I would be happy to host you.

  5. I have never rented, sorry I could not tell you the amount.
  6. I do believe Hagues in W. Deptford does.
  7. Welcome... What is your favorite shooting places and gun stores in the Washington Twp area? Are there any?
  8. Glock 20 FN BHP SIG P6 Ruger GP100 FNP-45 USG....awaiting delivery.
  9. I love my FN PBR XP with 20" in .308. It has a 10x Bushnell Elite 3200 on top and it is a great shooter, comfortable and accurate. Only issue I have with it is the cost of xtra 4rd mags (approx $50).
  10. My wife tolerates, she comes form an ant family of med pros and went to Quaker schools as a child. She understands and is pro 2a, but is not a fighter for it. She has been shooting, and is a good shot, but has not further interest other then basic knowledge and shtf. My boys know and are dying to get involved, but SWMBO has laid down a 10yo or proven maturity rule. I am a self made man. No other family member is a gun owner and my folks were anti. I have some uncles that are enthusiastic hunters, but that is about it. I got into guns when I moved to Ga to go to college, started running with some guys that were a mix of armoy rotc, hipppies and rednecks. Been into them ever since, about 22 years now.

    Browning BDM?

I did not see the date on the post... my bad. Thanks.
  12. Butch's is the one of the best gun shops I have ever been in for choice, knicknacks and ammo. It is cramped and hard to move around in. Personally I hate having to ask to see all the rifles and shotguns that I want to look at....but they handle it well. I purchased a S&W MP9 there last year and hope to spend some more money there sometime soon. Good people, good hours and good selection.

    Browning BDM?

Where....Where.....Where???? I love them. One of the slimmest double stack 9mm ever made. Great shooters... it has two modes of fire, Duel Mode: Pistol/Revolver by a turn of a screw. BTW, the mag has a protrusion at the base to act as a screwdriver. R mode, you get a DA trigger where the hammer was always at rest after firing. Chamber a rd and you
  14. I used to do IDPA while I lived in Ga. South Jersey Shooting Club does IDPA matches on the second saturday of every month, March to October. "IDPA is a practical shooting sport based around defensive shooting situations. IDPA shooting provides fun and challenging scenarios which include multiple target engagements while moving and tactical use of cover and concealment. SJSC IDPA shooting is done in small groups that rotate between shooting and reloading. One group will shoot a couple stages and while reloading another group shoots a couple stages and reloads. This back and forth rotation allow us to get groups through the stages and minimize downtime. This also allows shooters to show up at any time between 10 and 2 to shoot, no need to be here at exactly 10am. Scores will be posted on the website within a week. Guns and equipment must be IDPA compliant, a cover garment is required unless specified in a particular stage. Information about appropriate gear is available from the IDPA website, in the rulebook." I am going on April 11th, if possible. Anyone want to join me needs to have 3 mags, about 50rds, a cover garment of some sort and a good holster, one that covers the trigger. The object is to recreate a CCW scenario.
  15. I must have misses you by minutes. I was there about 2pm. I saw many boxes of 9mm today at Sportsmen Center today for $12.98. Maybe I did not read it correctly. Saw alot of M56 (?).223 at Cheyenne Outfitters for $11 a box I order ammo from Midway all the time. Love doing it...
  16. Stopped in here today. Was looking for Harry's, saw that it moved and figured this is an offshoot to handle the gun sales. Well stocked with accessories and long guns. Even had some EBRs on the shelf. Prices seemed high to me. I'll be honest, I heard and saw some of the dumbest things I have ever seen or heard in there today. Unsafe gun handling, ignorant, distracted sales staff and downright rude behavior. Now, it may have been that 15 minutes of the day was a down moment. I am willing to give them another chance sometime in the not near future.
