  1. Self taught for the first year. Then a session or two with a retired state trooper to fix all the bad habbits that developed over the year.
  2. I still work in the car business but I'm one of the managers plus I pretty handy with computers so I found a way around Fortiguard (our web sense program.)
  3. I just traded in my 03 Kawasaki 636 and got an 09 Honda CBR 600RR. Just picked it up about 2 weeks ago. Wow I love it. The change between an 03 and an 09 is amazing. I'll post some pictures of it when I het a minute.
  4. I've heard through the Grape Vine that the project itself has come to a complete stop and might even be cancelled if any more of the major retailers pull out.
  5. I was there 4/16 in the evening. I can't say enough about the place the range was almost empty and very relaxing. And the RO was very helpful.
  6. I know Natchez will ship ammo to NJ. But again good luck having any in stock. If you call most places they will check your Zipcode. Really no rhyme or reason to it some places will ship some won't. Some ask for a copy of your FID and some don't.
  7. Has anyone on the board used Ammoman.com ? I've heard when he has ammo in stock his prices are good and If you pick it up they are even better. Just wanted to see if anyone has used him before. Thanks
  8. Just be careful when you go up to the Sayreville Sportsman. He's a really nice guy but his ammo prices right now are out of control.
  9. I was always under the immpresion that if you did a transfer to a NJ FFL they charged you tax when you picked it up from them.
  10. How about as much as I can afford with ammo prices.
  11. I've been to Brick on several occasions where the RO would actually give us pointers and a few drills to practice to increase accuracy and speed. I think one of there RO's is a retired State trooper. Like I said before I've never been there without a range officer.
  12. Sounds like a great idea. I would love to learn from someone that has real experience.
  13. I went with a buddy to Shore Shot and Brick on Saturday. Shore Shot was a mad house. It reminded me of a busy deli counter when they tell people to take a number. .45 Acp was $35 a box for non members. Well long story short we couldn't even rent the Sig my buddy was trying to buy so we left. Went right down the road saw Phil at Brick got right on to the range and spent an hour using some reasonable priced ammo. I decided then that I will never return to Shore Shot
  14. MR. B He's a retired police officer.
  15. I'll second that. My buddies Father works there and I think there a good bunch of guys. They don't ignore people or talk down to people.
  16. It was 230 grain he said it was the last case but he should be getting more in soon.
  17. $330 for 1000 rounds. Federal american eagle. A bit of a drive but well worth it. With tax it came to .35 cents per round.
  18. I just bought a case of ammo from him. .45 acp Federal. Best price I found in the state or online for that matter. He is a really nice guy and a pleasure to do business with. I think he orders everything so he charges only a small percent over cost.
  19. I'm a 1911 guy. Something about a .45 in all metal just does it for me.
  20. Motorcycles. Another expensive habit. Wow....Come to think about it and My Wife is a Saint. I give her a hard time because she has a closet full of shoes but every hobby I have is big Money.
  21. I actually went up to Jim Flynns's in Glen Gardner and bought his last case (shared it with 3 people so it's not hoarding.) Turned out to be $17.65 per box. Plus he is a really great guy. Even though its far it's well worth the savings he will order anything you want.
