  1. I'm a member as well. It is an amazing club. If we can get the time together, I can take you as a guest and give you the grand tour. The indoor range is open at night (24/7). So if it's a midnight thing, I'm game. (can only shoot pistols and .22 indoor).
  2. IMHO Dillon's stuff is simply amazing. However, it is pricey to start with. Besides, you will always have a use for the single press you start with if you upgrade to a dillon progressive later.
  3. Read several manuals. Lee's stuff is great to start with. Learn to cast your own. Be accurate Keep notes Keep more notes Read the manual again. You will be hooked. It is worse than cocaine. There is no rehab.
  4. Edited: Never mind. Answered my own question.
  5. There are many re-loaders that will take that lead off your hands. Would even pay for it, and even pick it up. Me being one of them.
  6. I second TSM. Jean is a good man. I've seen his work and his set-up. It's in an industrial park on rt 9. I'd call 1st, he's not always there. Of course you could cast your own....
  7. When Mauser isn't there, I am. I'm good for evenings. Where do you live? I live 15 minutes away from Jackson. If you live in the same cardinal direction, I am willing to show you all I know about reloading. Depending on how sick you are (reloading is a cruel sickness) I cast my own lead too. I wouldn't be able to shoot if I didn't make my own. You can save a bunch of $$$ reloading. I, however, don't save a damn cent. But I do have loads for my guns that shoot beautifully and I can afford to shoot a few thousand rounds a month.
  8. No one on the AP range on a sunday??? Did I miss a meeting. Usually it's packed.
  9. There is an easy way to determine: Look at your backyard: If there is an outhouse, south jersey If there is New York, North jersey If there is grass, your normal and live in central jersey
  10. FWIW I've had ammo that got soaked. (Left in the back of a pick-up). It was left there for several days. I let it dry out on my bench. Then fired it. Not even one FTF. Ammo is pretty tough.
  11. The $400 is indeed a one time fee. As long as you remain a current member you will never have to pay it again. (If you let your membership lapse a few years, you will have to pay again, you will be treated as a new member) You can pay it in payments too. I believe it's $200 up front. Then $50 every quarter until paid. This is totally separate from your dues which is $200 a year, due at the beginning of each year.
  12. Before you put a ring on her should be defined. Acceptable times to get engaged/marry a woman: 1. ???? The end. Don't get married
  13. Lack of places to shoot it is the only reason I don't own one.
  14. I started reloading on a Lee press. You can start reloading with about $150 of equip. Primers are still hard to find. Do get a manual or two. You will need them. Reloading is another hobby in it self. I started reloading to save money. It doesn't work. You do shoot more. If you have any specific questions, ask away. If reloading is for you, you will most likely move up to a progressive press. Do check Ebay, but be careful. I have seen used presses and dies sell for more than new a Midsouth.
  15. Do dry fire your gun. It will help your muscle memory. Also shoot alot. Thats the only thing that will get the "flinch" out. I have heard that dry firing a gun too much will damage it. I have heard just the opposite too. Buy some snap caps, they are cheap insurance.
  16. I believe charleslee meant a .50 BMG. Think M2 or Barrett rifles. Shore shot rents a .500 s&w. It is a revolver, albeit powerful, nothing compared to a .50 BMG. CJRP Does not allow .50bmg at their range. (I wish they did). BTW Which rifle do you have?
  17. Either 3.5gr of bullseye pushing a cast 158gr RN in .38special in the 10 gr unique pushing a 150gr cast and GC .30-06 bolt gun
  18. While not technically in April, Don't forget the SAR show MAY 1st,2nd,3rd in York, PA. There is about 1200 tables. Most of it will be a typical gun show, but there is also the FA stuff. They show off the all brass Navy Vickers type deck guns, tommy's, M2, M1919 etc.... There is some cools stuff there.
