I've wrote so many letters, and so many emails over the last two months. Honestly, I'm lost. Where are we at, and who should I be writing/emailing about what.

My lord. I never thought, on a firearms forum, I'd be in a minority when I'd say: NOT A F***ING INCH. If you need a compromise, here is my proposal: Give us NFA items, open bolt autos, etc.. Get rid of all this AWB bull. Cram the Pistol purchase permit up the nearest liberal's orifice. In return, there can be a fully enforceable 50 state ban on all magazines holding greater than 20,003 rounds. Gun control should be all about breathing. It should be enforced by a pluck to the ear every time you flinch.

So when I do need a gun now, I put on clothes, boots... what the hell, brew a pot of coffee, walk to the garage, open the safe, than defend myself. A good idea to keep my stuff organized.. yes Mandatory.... NO Would I be breaking a law if my .45 stayed in my headboard instead of in the safe?

I just took the course with Cameron today. All I can say is, Take it. After the normal gun safety stuff (which can be somewhat boring, I've done it for my range, for hunter safety, for appleseed, etc..) the course is real good. Bunch of good guys. Real informative. Informal, a bunch of guys. But between the wisecracks, you do learn stuff. I commend you Cameron, and your crew. Thanks

You have to goto the new member meeting, see calendar. (The last Wed of the month I believe) You only pay the $400 initiation fee once. It can be in payments. $200 up front, $50 per quarter until paid. This is independent of your dues, which are $250/year, prorated. It is, without a doubt, the best club in NJ. I've never waited to shoot. Ever. Sometimes on the weekends, an event will take a block of the club, but there is still plenty of room.

I'd start with a single stage press (like the RCBS you have posted). Reloading isn't for everyone. If you don't like it, you're only out a couple hundred. And you can probably sell off and make most your money back. As your addiction, sickness, reloading hobby advances, you can move on to a progressive. Even with a progressive, you will find uses for your single stage, it won't go to waste. Lee, RCBS, hornaday all make a good entry level kit. (Lee is probably the cheapest) As for used, it can be the way to go. You can buy a press, with a set of dies or two for little $. As far as being "used", it's pretty darn hard to wear out a press. With very little exception, a used press is going to be as good as a new press.

If you cast your own, buy in bulk, etc... you can save a bundle. Easy math: Lee kit +- $200 (you could actually use a hand press and get your cost down to $100) Mold $30 furnace $40 $270 in equipment (maybe $170) One of my .38 loads = $110 for 8lb of powder = about 1/2 of a cent per round Primers $103.99/5000 wolf = .02 per round Brass = free (range pick up) Bullets = free (reclaimed lead and wheel weights) $2.59 per 100 rounds This is real cheap. You will tinker and spend more on stuff. You will end up with a progressive press. It doen't cost more to reload .40 or .45

Yes I have one. All legal, It's fun as hell. Definite conversation piece. The drum is a pain, but real cool looking. Have some sticks that are blocked. They are much easier to use, but lack that sexy look.

Yes, but only DOT can ask for it. (NJSP is DOT) Your local LEO is not qualified to interpret it. However, your local LEO can give you a ticket for what they interpret as an "unsafe" vehicle.

I've been a member at CJ for some time. I will answer all for CJ: You cannot use Pistol caliber carbines in the indoor range. The indoor range is open 24/7 (you get your own key fob) If you want to shoot at 3am, go ahead. You can shoot the rifle ranges at any range (We have 2, a 200 and 300yd range) you can set your target anywhere. You cannot use carbines at the pistol range either. I have seen people set their targets anywhere at teh pistol range, but there are specific holders at 25&50yds. We now have about a dozen multi purpose pits. You can shoot pistol caliber carbines in them once you qualify to. You can shoot just about anything you want if you clean up after yourself in the pits. (within reason, nothing unsafe, no glass) Steel is fine. You can use anything safe for targets at the range (outdoor, indoor is limited to paper). No glass, etc... We have soda machines, a grill, and picnic tables. I'm not sure about Wi-Fi. CJ is almost never crowded. Some events have alot of shooters. Most of the time during week you can be alone, sometimes 2-3 others) During the weekends, it can get crowded, but I've never had to wait. The trap and skeet machines are remotely controlled. (no one there to pull a string) All computerized There are no range officers. Your initiation gets you trained in safety, you are responsible for yourself. CJ is a member owned club. We are all part owners. It carries a certain "pride". It keeps most people from messing up the club. As long as you are behaving safely, no one cares if you shoot 25yds or 300yds. It is a real friendly environment. Most members treat you as a brother. I have been there countless times and been asked unsolicited if I wanted to try their new gun. No one there will judge you, most everyone will help you in any matter. We are almost a fraternity. PM inbound

I'm a beginner. To be honest I haven't even been hunting yet. (Since i was 14, in Indy) I understand the process, and was talking to a man who hunts regularly. He explained alot to me. He never mentioned what to do after the kill. I have seen signs for a deer check. Is this necessary, what is it for? I field dress a deer, drag it out, then take it to the store? Thanks

Watts are watts, Volts x Amps = Watts 300 watts = 2.5 amps at 120v 300 watts = 25 amps at 12v (This is of course in a perfect world, the inverter itself will take some of the power for conversion.) The inverter may only run a 2amp load Also, Motor draw immense current to start up (sometimes 3-4x running current) A 3amp motor can draw 12amps to start. It is only for a split second. This is why it will work on a house circuit, but an inverter simply cannot supply it. Lesson over.
