Had the XS big dot sights on my glock 26 for a while. Did *NOT* like them for distance/target shooting, and wasn't especially fond of them for close up shooting either. Could have been just me, but I was very in-accurate with them.

Yup, a lot of crap to jiggle loose from recoil... I have a mesa tactical shell carrier on my benelli though, love it. Just use blue loctite on the fastners!

Those are nice. I don't think I can use the front sight though. It is meant to be mounted on a handguard rail. I need one that mounts on a gas block rail. Remember that the Magpul MBUS are polymer, not metal, and may not fare too well on anything that gets smoking hot...

CMMG 16" medcon med-length upper with micro gas block ordered tonight. Guessing that will take a couple of weeks to come in. DD rail and AA piston kit should be arriving tomorrow.

No harm no foul on my part, I appreciate the efforts to put the buy together. I'm going to consider myself no longer committed to this, but LMK if something else looks promising for a group buy.

Ok, what's the status on this? If it's not going to happen anytime in the near future then I'd like to get released from my commitment so I can go buy another lower for my AR build.

Store ammo in the safe all along the walls, firearms in the middle. It's getting really tight in there! Also use one of these "rechargeable" dessicant canisters: http://www.silica-gel.eu/engels/sg750-en.html Every month or so I toss it in the oven for a couple of hours to recharge it.

Got my muzzle brake in today, first part I ordered: Adams Arms piston kit and Daniel Defense rail should be arriving in the next day or two. Now I just have to decide on a mid-length upper. Still leaning towards CMMG because I can order with a clamp-on gas block and not have to worry about cutting off a bayo lug and removing a pinned triangle front sight which I probably won't use again anyway.

Nope, my order was for 9mm only. Heh, did you even read my post? No, I ordered all Winchester, I did not order any Federal. I received all Federal, a 100% substitution for the Winchester. It's actually better quality (for this low end range of target rounds), so I'm not complaining about the substitution.

Received a box from TMJ today. I ordered: 10 boxes of 100 round Winchester "White Box" 9mm 115gr FMJ. I received: 20 boxes of 50 round "American Eagle" manufactured by Federal 9mm 115gr FMJ. Am I satisfied?: Yes. Would I order from them again?: No way in hell.

I'm looking at buying a CMMG upper for my AR. They offer "Full Auto" bolt carriers as a free option. First off, is it legal to have a Full Auto carrier if the fire control group (trigger/sear) are still semi? Aside from legalities, any advantages/disadvantages to having a full auto carrier versus a "regular" one?

Squib, and then, what, 2 or 3 dud rounds in a row before the next one fired and blew the barrel/chamber? Making mental note to carefully examine any ejected round that fails to go bang to make sure the bullet is still seated in it...

I was holding off on my first AR build to see what they were priced at. I am now embarking on my first AR build without worrying about the ACR any more.
