  1. I just got out - working in PA (Pittsburgh) and WV area. Family will follow soon.
  2. if youre going to take a tactical class, Id use one of your hi cap handguns, one you wont worry getting dirty, or slamming muddy / wet mags into. Depending on the course, youll be practicing reloads, and you let them drop onto the ground... water, mud etc. You also will reuse them dirty mags. Only reason Im saying this is I saw some guys with really nice sigs etc not wanting to get them all fubared up. Re holster, check out Blackhawk SERPA and also Bladetec (bladetec sells a nice kydex without retention so its less to worry about when doing drills). 5.11 sells holsters made by bladetec (many of them are not sure if all). Re. mag carrier, get a double but not one with straps that hold the mags in. They are a pain in the butt for these courses. Bladetec sells a combo holster / carrier. Good luck let us know your thoughts / decisions. PS- my choices are a Glock 19 with bladetec (holster mag carrier combo).
  3. http://www.judiciary.state.nj.us/prose/ ... ge_kit.pdf is the pro se kit from NJ court.
  4. Its next to impossible to meet the for cause standard in NJ to get one issued. I wouldnt waste your time and money. Also, there are applications that ask about whether you were denied a ccw or firearms permit. In addition to wasting your time, you will then need to answer yes, been denied, then explain why. Just my .02.
  5. a verticle grip on a pistol is a problem I think -- thats where the confusion may have come from.
  6. I dont think you need to transfer any info off your purchase permit, to the new purchasers permit. The serial number is on the gun, and your SBI is on your FID isnt it? You should be GTG I think... what info are you thinking needs to be included from your original purchase permits?
  7. 44: http://www.ammoengine.com/find/store_fr ... point-ammo these ok or soft point no good? They look jacketed, should be fine.
  8. Forget about the BB handgun for the 10 yr old. Get him a green gas airsoft gun - like a g19 replica. The slide operates, same size/shape as glock 19 --- and not illegal.
  9. More importantly though, Bass Pro will Ship Pistol Ammo to the PRNJ???????? Cabelas wont...OR PRimers for that matter. bp ships
  10. I was crying laughing when I saw this thread. You will get a kick out of it, I hope. Probably not work safe. http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthrea ... =118653331
  11. Good work Bob. You know the rules though. Pics or GTFO!
  12. Sure no problem. Heres his info http://www.garandguy.com/
  13. Hi Bob, its not out of the ordinary for a M1 garand to have to be fitted for stock fit. From what I read a lot of the garand's accuracy comes from its stock fitting. I think that you may be able to do it yourself with some reading online, or if easier for ya take it to a smith. The garand guy in NJ does that work I believe. Good luck. Id offer to help but I never fitted one.
