  1. I'm Italian and picky...I've eaten at numerous Italian restaurants. and the best I've found was "Zepolis" in Collingswood,NJ.
  2. You're not too far off, We've killed ourselves with the two party system. Our choices are now: Big government "right" and big government "left". We're leaving the "limited" government mentality for big government progressives. We've chosen as a country to be pacified by our government and letting them decide what's right and wrong, good and bad. Personal accountability is out the window and government knows best...this is a VERY dangerous for future events. We used to differ from other countries because our government was accountable to "we the people"...in other words, it was limited to its over reach. The only difference in both parties is the who they appease as their voting block. However, in the end, it's big government control. I honestly don't believe there is any way back once all the power is centralized....we're very close to that as well.
  3. So how many of you giving the advice of "just go", carry their handgun to PA with full confidence? I gotta' tell you, when I went to the range in NJ, I would keep the receipt in my gun case, lock my gun in the back and head directly home. However, on the other hand I figured what are the chances of getting pulled over and searched? It was pretty slim, but I was also concerned of the outside chance of getting into an accident and having to leave my car at the scene...that could spiral downhill quickly. I've heard horror stories of NJ cops harassing gun owners, but I've also heard where cops were fine. Just don't fall asleep with guns in your car in a parking lot or make a threat to someone and forget you left your gun in trunk. That will get you into big trouble. Also, I'm amazed at some of my cop friends have no clue about the law. I actually got into a discussion with a State trooper friend...he said I could have my handgun in the glove compartment as long as it was not loaded. I told him "no, look it up". At that point there were a few other people gather around and I could see he was getting frustrated with me so I let it go. Bottom line, I'll give the "I'm not a lawyer" BS, but in the real world I believe it's lawful as long as you comply with FOPA you're "good". The big "IF", is like I mentioned above...if you get a rookie, liberal, thug cop that wants to become a sergeant, it could be a very expensive and horrifying experience. Honestly, the laws are so vague that you could get pulled over 5 times and have a good laugh with the NJSP about your firearm and I could get pulled over once and land in jail....that's the reality of it all.
  4. Wow, some of these proposed bills are REAL scary: S2715: Requires Department of Education to prepare and distribute pamphlets on how parents can limit a child’s exposure to media violence --Indoctrination!!! My goodness..... A3583/1613: Establishes School Security Task Force (This WILL pass) S2468: Allows impounding motor vehicles if driver unlawfully has a gun (This is a "DOUBLE" Unconstitutional law/bill) S2430: Declares violence a public health crisis and establishes "Study Commission on Violence" This one scares me the MOST. It can go in any direction...sets up home inspections, could force Police to examine you and your family thoroughly, could set up a way to make confiscation easy if the commission deems gun ownership a threat to society. This is the MOST ridiculous BILL...I can't believe it got out of the Senate: S2725: Makes it a third-degree crime to possess air or spring gun for an unlawful purpose Define "unlawful" purposes...texting while an airsoft gun is on the front seat of your car? This one is by far, astounding: A3754: Requires firearms seizure when mental health professional determines patient poses threat of harm to self or others. If this one EVER passes, you leave the state...walk away from it all. I still think CC will veto all but the school task force and .50 Cal ban.
  5. Illegal voting can ruin a country, we should have a "justifiable need" to vote. Free speech could be dangerous...we should apply for our "justifiable need" to freely speak. Every citizen could possibly be a terrorist and should apply for "justifiable need" to protect against searches and seizures. Justifiable need for protection...does that mean I need to check and get approval from the courts to protect myself in ANY fashion? Can I take a course on karate or do I need to "justify the need" for such a dangerous way to protect myself? How about boxing...do I need a permit to justify the need to use my fists in such a way? How about justifying my need to use my cane for protection? Do I need to get a court ordered approval to "justifiably need" these items/tactics to defend myself? None of these items or tactics are listed or guaranteed rights, but the "Right to Bear ARMS" is....so I will ask once again. Do I need a court order to simply justify my need to defend myself in any way?
  6. We got out and moved into PA about a year ago. HUGE difference between the two states and a lot more freedom. However, I don't know if PA if far enough away. I'd still prefer Oklahoma. Still. It's a lot cheaper than NJ as well. BTW, the only lame CCW law in NC (while you're there) is not being able to carry in places that serve alcohol. Does not sound like a problem until you realize that everyplace down there serves alcohol. Good luck in SC!
  7. However, when the corruption spreads to the Law enforcement and the cops are "anti-freedom", this bill will SUCK! When a left wing criminal/ union thug is running the law you WILL be the enemy and now they would know exactly who/what you stand for and they may not be so ...immmm, kind.Just like anything else, in the name of safety, sounds great until you get the wrong, power hungry narcissist running the show.
  8. I think he's trying to make a strategic calculation when his risk is minimized. I believe he's a Progressive Republican, but I also strongly believe he'll veto all but the .50 cal ban.
  9. I really wish we could get this done in NJ... http://bigstory.ap.org/article/lawmakers-poised-override-quinns-gun-bill SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (AP) — Illinois became the last state in the nation to allow public possession of concealed guns as lawmakers rushed Tuesday to finalize a proposal ahead of a federal court's deadline. Both chambers of the Legislature voted to override changes Gov. Pat Quinn made to the bill they approved more than a month ago. Even some critics of the law argued it was better to approve something rather than risk the courts allowing virtually unregulated concealed weapons in Chicago, which has endured severe gun violence in recent months. The Senate voted 41-17 in favor of the override Tuesday afternoon after the House voted 77-31, margins that met the three-fifths threshold needed to set aside the amendatory veto. Quinn had used his veto authority to suggest changes such as prohibiting guns in restaurants that serve alcohol and limiting gun-toting citizens to one firearm at a time. Quinn had predicted a "showdown in Springfield" after a week of Chicago appearances to drum up support for the changes he made in the amendatory veto. The Chicago Democrat faces a tough re-election fight next year and has already drawn a primary challenge from former White House chief of state Bill Daley, who has criticized the governor's handling of the debate over guns and other issues.
  10. I have the IPhone 4S and the Galaxy S4 active. I don't think you could go wrong on either one and is all a matter of preference. Here is my quick plus and minus on each: iPhone plus: I feel apps rect better on the iPhone. Meaning they seem to fill in a lot of the blanks for you. Instant opening of apps and no force closes. I have had some momentary freeze ups though. Nice screen, easy to use, solid build, good battery life. iPhone the bad: no way to pull out battery. No extra storage ( that is a huge disadvantage for me). Very little customizing. Always going through iTunes to delete, add or back up anything. No LED reminder. Samsung Galaxy. Very snappy after a few adjustments. Good battery life, huge screen, very very customizable. Expandable memory, LED reminder, easy to customize ringtones, apps etc. The bad: certain apps don't run as good as on the iPhone. That has to do with development. Force closes. Some laggines . I honestly don't know hitch one I'd keep and it would come down to price. If I had to chose I'd have to take the Samsung because I prefer being able of adding memory, bigger screen and being waterproof.
  11. Yup, when we lived in the Cherry Hill,NJ area we'd leave at 3AM and would be in NC in less than 5 hrs...Disney in 14 HRS 37 Minutes. We DO NOT stop with the exception of refueling and that's when we'd hit the bathroom. By far is the fastest way if you time it correctly. We've done this trip at lease 40 plus times. I did try the RTE 1 Delaware, Bay Bridge thing and it's way too long because you have to go through many small towns once in NC just to get back to I95. If you're going to the OBX then the Delaware/Bay bridge is the way to go...
  12. Didn't the 4th circuit find Maryland's "Justifiable need" clause relevant? http://www.ammoland.com/2013/03/4th-circuit-overturns-md-district-court-on-woollard-justifiable-need/#axzz2XtxPmt2n Where does it go next? SCOTUS?
  13. I agree. I wish NJ would issue CCW as I work in NJ 5 days a week and visit friends occasionally on the weekends. But I agree with your sentiment and here's the reason why...people are BRAINWASHED! People of this state are so brainwashed into thinking everything the State does is good and right. Here's the kicker...[even]most of my Conservative friends have also bought into this as well. Meaning, when I talk to them about a gun I bought they ask how PA issues FOID cards....I'm like, "really"? When I tell them PA does not require a FOID card to buy guns, then explain that I can simply show them my license, do a back ground check, pay and leave. Every time (never fails) they will ask a second time... "Wait, then how do you buy a gun"? I have to explain again about simply show your license, background check and pay. They simply don't get it and a few of my friends went into a 5-10 minute discussion that starts off like: "wait...so you're saying you don't need to get any type of card, finger printing or waiting period...How do they keep track of what you buy"? After a few times of going over it, the realization seems to kick in...However, they seem to understand the LTCF thing pretty well. It's amazing that just a 200 yards across a river there is a different mentality.
  14. I no longer live in NJ, but we're all in this together. I sent CC a message. BTW, I think he will VETO this stuff only because it will cost NJ more money. Keep it up guys... remember, there are 1 MILLION in NJ that are in the same boat. Keep taking friends to the range. Heck, try to convince your local ranges to have a "bring a friend" day. Have food, music, etc. Make it fun and welcoming.
  15. Being arrested is not an option....why should you be arrested for complying with a written, oath taken RIGHT? Going to jail for following the law of the land is not an option, that is surrendering to an enemy. The line has been pushed way beyond where it should be...until then, prayer and direction for peaceful solutions but I will not go to jail for being a complying, honest tax paying citizen.
  16. Agreed. Registering a weapon never ends well....as history has proven. Also, I can not find a single incident where a .50 cal was involved in a crime. This being the case, it's very obvious why a BIG government wants to "ban" them. It's not the criminal they fear, it's the freedom loving citizen that's their threat.
  17. You may want to double check that... "It is only legal to carry pepper spray in New York if the canister is pocket-sized. Each canister must have a label on it indicating that the spray is for self-defense purposes only. Although it is legal to carry pepper spray in New York, it must be purchased within the state. It is illegal to mail pepper spray from another city, state or country into New York. Read more: http://www.ehow.com/about_6611469_pepper-spray-new-york-law.html#ixzz2XPiA59da It seems it must be purchased with in the state...is this for anyone carrying pepper spray or New York residence only?
  18. PTSD can be devastating. From experience , start with a trusted, private Church councilor. Use in conjunction with cognitive therapy a book called " The new mood therapy" from doctor David T Burnes. A dose of reading God's word along with what's listed above. Like I Said, speaking from experience on a "different level" this is a very good alternative. However, the final decision is the one you or your friends make.
  19. The same way a German citizen would be able to sue Hitler and the Nazi party...good luck with that! Government is exempt from being sued. Also, it's like someone suing you but you are the lawyer, judge and jury.
  20. In PA you will need a valid license from FL or reciprocating state to transport in PA and THEN you can openly carry anywhere but a city of first class (Philly).
  21. Look at some of the biggest freedom stealing bills..most are around American religious or freedom holidays. Freaking Marxists!!!
  22. Looks like since May 20th according to this article: http://www.nj.com/politics/index.ssf/2013/05/first_gun_bills_are_on_the_way.html Maybe Christie is not watching the same news channel as Obama and does not realize the bills are on his desk?
  23. Does this go to CC desk now? If so I hope he vetoes this BS bill... believe it or not, I feel [even] with all his shortcomings, he'll veto this cr@p!!
  24. http://ffthegridnews.com/2013/06/13/breaking-california-passes-ammo-permit-fee/ BREAKING: California Passes Ammo Permit Fee California once again proved it is one of the least Second Amendment friendly states in America. State legislators just passed a $50 ammo permit fee and background check law. If liberals want to derail the right to bear arms and make sure that common citizens cannot afford to defend themselves, the cost-prohibitive per-purchase ammo fee law will surely do the trick. The great ammo shortage of 2013 is still in full swing. Store shelves still remain quite empty and demand has driven prices up in many locations around the country. Between the over-zealous ammo grabbing by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the California ammo permit law, gun owners in the West Coast state may soon be entirely out of bullets. Making it more difficult for law-abiding citizens to obtain guns and ammunition will only increase the growing crime rate in the highly populated state. The California Senate appears to once again be demonstrating their willingness to infringe upon the Second Amendment rights of constituents. High taxes and the state’s distaste for the Constitution have prompted thousands of California residents to relocate elsewhere, Texas in particular. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ I used to be able to mock this stuff and laugh it off. However, the actions of these progressives have me VERY concerned for our families, country and future. Couple this with our government backing known terrorists and it's a recipe for complete disaster. After reading articles and seeing video of these ruthless terrorist, I refuse to give up any of my firearms...I (my family) will not be subject to these evil, ruthless animals!
  25. The government...remember, it's billable hours they get paid. So if it takes them two weeks, 25 chainsaws at $200 per hour, that's some nice cash.
