  1. i never had a problem with the glock look
  2. Why is 10 rounds an issue. My p226 is 15 rounds and sometimes I only load 10. 10 seems like it's a good point to take a rest and evaluate what's going on
  3. Re: gssf. Yup. That's exactly right. Join. Takes about 6 weeks to get your membership. Call the line. They tell you where close to you participates and you get it that way. I'd start the process asap so you are ready when the permits come in. You can do this with one purchase per year
  4. Go through gssf if you want a glock. Much cheaper and there are other benefits to the membership
  5. definitely. id say more than 99% of the time you will be ok. its the fraction of 1% that scares me. id feel pretty confident buying from a forum vendor. but then again, if you are on this forum, you could probably spot a compliant vs noncompliant anyways. crazy thing was this gun had a pinned stock, so there was some effort to make it compliant, but then it had a non-pinned FS, so there went that. not it has a pinned non flash hiding brake.
  6. fine for me, now that i know what im looking for. but when someone comes to the forum, looking for advice, and the 2nd post in the thread says "if its for sale in a NJ gun shop, it will be NJ legal" they may not know about the illegal features. i just think its bad advice to say something like that. especially on such a serious issue as legality in this state. where common sense means nothing. i can see we are just going to go back and forth of semantics, but to me, if it happened once, it could happen again. honest mistake or not. as for the original poster. i still vote for noveske
  7. Yes. One incident that I know of. I dontthink it was the stores intention to sell it illegally but they did. I just think relying on the store to know the legality of the gun is irresponsible. People make mistakes. I wouldn't want to go to jail for assuming the gun in question is legal because it's on the shelf. So will 99.999% be legal. Probably. But my rear end isn't going to prison because I didn't do my homework. Especially for something as dumb as a non pinned fh
  8. i know 100% fact, that this is definitely not the case. then how is the gun shop not getting in trouble for possession/selling of an illegal firearm because the new owner, once he found out about it, just decided to fix it instead of making a big deal about it. i think it was an honest mistake, but it was definitely sold in nj, to a nj resident, with too many evil features.
  9. although in my experience, slightly less reliable than a buckmark or ruger
  10. shooter, on blue ray, i can watch it 10000 times and not get sick of it.
  11. i know 100% fact, that this is definitely not the case. and if anyone is wondering, noveske will do a compliant AR.
  12. cool video. its just too choppy to watch for me though.
  13. i just sent a message to the senators and assemblymen in my district about the two bills above. all republicans, but like its said here, it probably wont go anywhere.
  14. just wanted to let everyone know of a great "hot deal" my first pistol purchase was going to be a glock 17. i ended up getting a sig p226 and i love it, but there is always the want for a glock so the way i was going to get a glock was through the glock sport shooting foundation. GSSF membership (1st year $35, renewal $25) 6 - 10 weeks later you get your card. then 1 time a year, you get a discount glock http://gssfonline.com/2010_GSSF_PPP_INFO_021610.pdf pricing is on the bottom of the list. $460 for a brand new 9mm or 40s&w glock of your choice isnt a bad deal if you ask me. NEW
  15. Before the fpid and handgun permit requirements. What was the law for obtaining and owning a firearm. When did the fpid laws go into effect
  16. doesnt matter. congress doesnt care about the constitution
  17. ive only got a few hundred rounds of each through my p226 but i definitely like my winchester nato 124g over the federal 115gr. and im not 100% sure why. my wife shot one magazine mixed with the two and couldnt tell a difference.
  18. i did the same thing with my 10/22 so instead of bought a leupold mount and a pair of leupold rings. i know for a fact that they'll attach to each other, just have to figure out how to get the scope lined up and zeroed in now.
  19. all these positive reviews makes me feel a little better. maybe i just had an issue on an off time or with a new guy or something. glad what i experienced isnt the norm there.
  20. what;s Senator John A. Girgenti's rating though? it seems that may make a difference if it even gets to a vote. im not totally sure how it works though. would be nice to not feel so criminal driving to/from the range
  21. didnt the senate version just miss by 2 votes? what would that mean for this one?
  22. godfathers pizza on route 10 isnt too far away. not the best pizza, but not the worst. im not sure of any "really good" pizza places in the area, but when i worked in livingston, we went to godfathers the most for lunch.
  23. missed that episode but im watching the episode thats on now. such a cool show.
  24. i had to send back a 22lr p229 and had a few communication issues. but in the end, they did fix it and i was happy with the final results. i give them a B-
  25. im not buying it. i dont know anything about it. just saw a picture on the net. i would like to know more about the upper though
