  1. The guy could have a registered Assault weapon and an Assault Weapon License but I doubt it.
  2. In short: No, only while she is present. Here is the law to back up what I am saying:

    FAL Mags

Hello, Have you ever thought about doing FAL mags in 15/20 capacity? or even just cut down to 15?
  5. Did you do the tax calculations first?
  6. So let me get this straight: You got charged for illegally purchasing/selling firearms in New Jersey? Did you have permits to purchase for all of your handgun purchases in New Jersey? Did you fill out a Certificate of Eligibility for all your long gun purchases in New Jersey? Did you require permits to purchase for handguns and/or a Certificate of Eligibility for long guns from the people you sold the firearms to? Did you not ship firearms to your house? Do you have a case number I can reference because I would be interested in seeing what the circumstances of the case were.
  7. There is actually more than the one advantage but yeah you cannot send firearms to your house.
  8. What prompted you to get arrested? What were you charged with?
  9. Also to answer the original question: No,having a FFL03 does not allow you to have a named weapon called the "M1 Carbine". You still have to adhere to NJ Gun Laws even if you are a FFL03 license holder and there is a possession ban on this type of rifle. Also you will not save on the transfer fee as curio and relic firearms cannot be shipped to your premise. They have to be shipped to a NJ Reteail Firearm Dealer because of NJ gun laws ( and unless you are friends with one of them I doubt they will wave the transfer fee ).
  10. Ok I will bite the bait. Sorry, but I have to ask it. Does anyone have a copy of this magical letter/notice saying that New Jersey considers us dealers? The reason I ask is because: My FFL03 C&R license says (with literal bold and underline): From NJ AA Code §13:54-1.2 Definitions From NJ AA Code §13:54-3.2 Retail license required Sounds like the New Jersey Administrative Code disagrees. Just saying.
  11. Yes, that is correct. You would have to fill out a Form 1 and pay the ATF $200 USD since you would be making an AOW before you could even put the foregrip on the handgun (or you could find an FFL 07 SOT Class II in NJ to do it for you then it would be a $5 USD NFA Tax Stamp). And if you do not believe me like most people on here do not Here is information straight off of the ATF website to back up what I am saying: Source: http://www.atf.gov/firearms/faq/firearms-technology.html#vertical-fore-grip
  12. Hello, This is actually two fold. 1. Under federal laws this is considered NFA item. It turns your Glock pistol into an Short barreled rifle (SBR). So you would have to go through the NFA process and pay $200 USD to get a tax stamp from the ATF before you could even possess it. 2. With that said: SBRs are NOT allowed in New Jersey. Maybe if it did not have the stock you could have it transferred to a Class III FFL 01 as an AOW (again having to apply and pay $200 USD to the ATF get an NFA tax stamp) since it has a foregrip.

  14. Reading the PDFs from the docket and watching the literary version of New Jersey getting a size 12"-spiked-steel-toed boot up its a** make me happy
  15. Let us not spread rumours New Jersey *ALREADY* has open carry. There is no distinction in New Jersey law on whether or not you can open carry or conceal carry. It is totally up to the carrier to decide. I definitely plan on open carrying as soon as the unconstitutional provisions in the carry law are struck down by the courts.
  16. Someone SERIOUSLY needs to fix this article. Registration is COMPLETELY VOLUNTARY if you already own them and are not purchasing handguns in New Jersey!
  17. Open Carry of a Government sized 1911
  18. This was definitely funny.
  19. This thread has been placed as a sticky thread so we people have one place where they can go to watch the progress of the case (instead of there being a million threads created anytime something comes up).
  20. Here is the timeline which has been agreed on: On the joint application of the parties, the Court enters the following Scheduling Order: • Plaintiffs will move for summary judgment no later than December 20, 2010; • Defendants will oppose the summary judgment motion and cross-move to dismiss no later than January 26, 2011; • Plaintiffs will reply in support of summary judgment and oppose Defendants’ crossmotion no later than February 16, 2011; and • Defendants will submit a reply in support of their cross-motion no later than March 9, 2011.
