  1. Its not an upper per se but there is a semi auto 338  http://www.rndedge.com/
  2. New Pelican is Nice. I didnt care for older pelican cases. I Like Storm just a bit better though. Its the latches. Old Pel latches were a pita. New ones are much better but not as nice or as easy as the storm latches. Other than that its 6 on one, half doeson on the other.
  3. Yes I sold the old one to fund the new one. I can say that hitting the deck and laying behind the rifle I found that NPA is better on the SRS for me. I REALLY thought I would have an issue with my economy sized head. This is the first bolt rifle I was ever able to get behind and not have an issue with abscence of an adjustable cheek rest.

HA! Id be a name droper if I told who makes the mount
  6. In all honsty I swore off the 338LM after owning 2 already. If I did not get access to a 1300yd private range I doubt I would have bought another. However if you do really want one and dont mind a drive when you want to shoot it you can join Mifflin County PA Range. Very cheap and out to 1k. Now here is the newest info. I figured this would happen. The 338LM has gained enough legs that significantly lower priced 338LM ammo is on the near horizon. Im talking sub $50 a box compared to $120 currently. This changes the game a bit. Also as you already noted reloading makes a big diff. Now compared to other 338's one of the key differences is in the brass. Access to Lapua brass is what drives most to the 338LM. And again here is the key with the SRS. Dont want to shoot 338 today? OK 60 Seconds later you can shoot .243 with a barrel, bolt and mag swap. http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/?p ... ber=624352

    Kriss Vector...

Heres some more pics of my ugly gun as requested Of interest is the aimpoint micro mount. It was made for 5th Group Special Forces. It is an EXCELLENT mount but unfortunately not available to the public. It is a hair to low for the Kriss but is AWESOME on my DSA SA58C FAL.
  8. Here it is next to a GAP AR10 with a 24" barrel for a length reference. The SRS barrel is 26" with brake making roughly 27 3/4.
  9. Thanks for the compliments guys. heres a vid featuring the SRS. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OMyWDfVjHtg OMyWDfVjHtg

  12. Yeah but who was chasing who?
  13. Im also interested in this answer. I belong to CJRPC but a buddy who is on a budget is interested in Dix. I havent shot at Dix in probably 10 years so I wanted to get up to speed so I could assist him.
  14. Gentlemen, Zombies et al or not a real concern. They are just the musings of paranoid adolescents. There is a real threat brewing. Thes quakes and the increase in their frequency prove it. Beware the Locusts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Far more dangerous than stinking zombies. They move faster and shoot back!
  15. Im the odd man out. Both 47D's give me trouble. My wolf and CMC no trouble. Ordered 3 EGW mags and will give them a try. Shane
  16. Welcome tp the sickness....
  17. I should have been clearer. I was in fact refering to people who train. By default I am always refering to dedicated shooters Dirty, Im not sure the statute would apply. Tracers are a problem because they start fires. If I read correctly this ammo produces no heat and is not incindiary.
  18. WOW. I find this VERY interesting. It states its non incindiary. Good. I had this idea MANY moons ago that if someone could develop a non incindiary "visually marked" round that I had an idea for an application. That application would be to load the last three round of your mag with this ammo. In an adrenaline dump situation who the hell is counting rounds. With the last three being visually marked, you would get the "low feul" warning and reload. Now about it not giving away position, id have to see that. What if your enemy was behind you and you were in concealment?
  19. All my firearms are now for sale sine I am now BLIND 8-)
  20. My adoption requirements are: 17Yrs 11 months of age Female Hot Twins
  21. In retrospect, leaving the tool box alone right there would have been wise. It takes a heap of training and about 5k rounds to become truly proficient with a bolt gun. With that top row lineup that represented about 25k in ammo  So this was the only time ever that I sold and did not replace 1 for 1. I bought the 50 and within the month both places I could shoot it banned 50! Within weeks of selling it at least 1 of the places lifted the ban The AR10T in 300wsm was replaced by a GAP AR10T in 260 My bolt gun philosophy has evolved into being great with one instead of OK with many. So basically I consolidated all the bolt rifles into the AI below. But that is gone now too The AI was replaced with this, due in this coming monday
  22. I'm not a big fan of posting everything I have on the internet. How about some come and gones. 80% of what is in this pic has long since found a new home. 50BMG GAP338LM SSK AR10 in 300WSM LTR308 in an AICS DSA SA58C Colt HBAR Bushmaster Commando Carbine(now called the v-match) Robarm XCR
