Youll be able to tell its broken in when the single action trigger is crisp, and the double action trigger is smoothed out. Just remember to strip it down and give it a good cleaning & lube before you shoot it. It could prevent alot of problems because some guns are shipped from the factory practically dry.

Wood is also a preferred container material because of its fire protection/insulation propertied. If I recall correctly, the fire academy taught us that it takes fire 1 hour to burn 1 inch of wood. If you have 1 inch walls on your container it would ideally provide an hour of fire protection without breeching the walls.

You do need to watch your grease though. If it gets alot of particulate in it, the grease then becomes a lapping compound which is a no go for slide frame fit.

I was taught if it pivots or turns it gets oil if it slides it gets grease. I use weapon shield grease and oil.

I own a px4 in .40 and have nothing but good things to say about it. Never had a misfeed with any ammo, no failures to extract. Its also very soft shooting due to the rotating barrel design.

So long story short I have an Ace Entry stock with a 1 inch recoil pad on the way to my house from JSE. Does anyone have any experience installing these? It seems pretty strait forward but any insight is helpful.

Last I heard the apiero had a year long backorder period. If you were to have a double stack 1911 for comp in 40 s&w you ge the added magazine capacity with the ability to retain the major power factor. The STIs are a great platform to build a race gun on, many people I shoot with have gone this route.

I remember that piece. This has that same aire of arrogance. As sad as it is none of this behavior surprises me. In one of my sociology classes I needed to take to finish my major, I had a classmate ask me in front of a 50 person lecture why I hadn't used any drugs.
