  1. Yeaa I asked them via email and they said I could send them a scan of my FPID and they would ship to me.
  2. What is the date on the receipt?
  3. Only thing I will agree with her on is that NJ does try to enforce a certain standard for when to issue permits (so it is not completely discretionary): Never.
  4. My favorite line: “Upon being satisfied of the sufficiency of the application and the fulfillment of the provisions of [N.J.S.A. 2C:58-4], the judge shall issue a permit.” N.J.A.C. 13:54-2.7(a) (emphasis added). She thinks that by underlining the word "shall" she can just ignore the whole first clause of the sentence... yeah that is really going to fool the judge. I think knives would still be subject to misuse, i.e. crime.
  5. I think one missing point nobody has made is that jury nullification is really only used to return a not guilty verdict. If a jury goes against the law and finds someone guilty, the judge should, and usually will, direct a not guilty verdict. So the jury has the option to acquit someone who they feel should not be punished for whatever reason, but they can't convict someone just because they do not like him.
  6. Where we doing this? Each at our own range? I will be at Bayonne in 2 weeks on Tuesday, but I can play for either team BH or Bayonne.
  7. This is the question that should be answered. If all marriage property is considered jointly owned in the event of a divorce, then shouldn't it be the same during the marriage? Also, what if your guns are in your house, and your spouse is home when you aren't, and knows the safe combo, and picks up your gun to clean it or whatever. According to the law, I think that's an illegal transfer. In short, transfer laws really need to change, but we knew that already.
  8. Except that wouldn't be accurate - every two weeks is not the same as twice a month. The truth is that bi-weekly does mean every two weeks. It may also be used to mean twice a week, but I expect it is more commonly used the way we use it here. LIU (Look it up.)
  9. That's what I was wondering. I was just reading the terms for a cruise line, and first they have the paragraph about no firearms or weapons of any kind, and then 2 paragraphs later, a disclaimer that they are in no way responsible for your safety, rather you are responsible.
  10. That letter was definitely written and/or approved by his lawyer. Just like he (his lawyer) doesn't want to be associated with the "gun rights" crowd, he can't be sending letters that show any sympathy towards them right now. I am sure he really does appreciate what you guys did, he just can't say it now for his own good. After all, it's his a$$ on the line.
  11. This also doesn't fix the issue where you can't "lend" your gun to your spouse. You will still need a permit each time, and can't do it more than one time a month, even if you both have the HPID.
  12. They will be wearing brown and antler hats. Yes, that was a sick joke, and no, I don't want them to do that.

    XD9 FTE

Just curious, how would limp-wristing cause a FTE? The gun was loading the next round without a problem until it hit the used brass. It it kind of like the extractor just "missed" the case.

    XD9 FTE

After the first two I was really hoping it was the ammo, but then I had another one with PMC.

    XD9 FTE

I cleaned and lubed the gun with Eezox before both times I took it out (I am a little OCD with that kind of thing). At this point there are only 200 rounds through it, so I am hoping the problem will go away on its own. I did look at the extractor and it looks to be seated very tightly against the bolt where it should be, and the hook seems to have a nice edge where it should snag the case rim.

    XD9 FTE

So today I took my XD9 to the range for the second time. First time went thru 100 rounds flawlessly, but today started having problems. 3 times the gun failed to eject the spent case. The first two were with Winchester ammo, the third with S&B. (I think all were 115gr.) First one was partially pulled out of the chamber, second two had not budged at all. So, my question: is this the fault of the gun or of the shooter? It is really bumming me out cuz I was expecting this gun to run perfectly.
  17. Ya, I am thinking of starting a new martial arts academy called Jew-Jitsu. Who wants to join .
  18. Correct me if I am wrong, but I didn't think NJ's current carry permit system limits you to carrying one handgun, just the type(s) of guns you are allowed to carry. And what about long guns - there should be no limit on that .
  19. The reason why most goyim (you non-Jews!) leave out the C is because they can't pronounce ch properly, but it is not silent. Kind of like the name Haim. In Hebrew it is really Chaim. It would be 'Chag' - one syllable that rhymes with the sound you make when the doctor asks you to say ahh. (The Ch is like ken said it.) Second word is three syllables: 'Sa' - same sound as the chag, 'me' - say 'may', and 'ach', same sound as chag, but the ch is last. Hope that makes sense.
  20. You too. I just have to comment, so you don't embarrass yourself somewhere along the line. If you already know this, please don't be hurt: The phrase is "Mazel Tov", and you would say it when someone is celebrating a life event (bar mitzva, wedding, baby, bris, etc.), not a holiday. For a holiday you would say "Chag Sameach" (literally "Happy Holiday").
  21. +999 - exactly. Now you can stop anywhere you'd like on the way to/from the range. Kinda alleviates the annoyance of the trip if you drive 1/2 hour or more to a range. At least you can get other stuff done at the same time.
