What did Santa bring you (Or what did you get for Hannukah)?
Turboprop21 replied to Krdshrk's topic in General Discussion
Wife bought me a CMMG .22 conversion kit for my AR, finally found one. Also she surprised me and paid for a brand new H&K P30. She knew I wanted one that was for sale here but we agreed I'm going to let my permit expire, she's the best. Oh with a streamlight tlr-3 too! -
GoPro OR Contour CAMERA???
Turboprop21 replied to jonny.montana's topic in Firearm Hobby / Sport Discussion
Made this custom mount for my AR, and the wife bought me the LCD display for my gopro. Really useful! -
Haha. Not hard at all to make, I'm sure you can make it. I'm always looking to make new things. Of course I've already drilled into a .45 to put on my keys

Have some 2x4's and misc planks in the basement. I cut it to my liking and sanded the front to a point to give it some shape. I threw some varnish on it as well. Oh and crazy glue holds everything on, works wonders.

I was bored the other day and made this paperweight for my bills The bullets were carefully drilled into to dispose of any lead. Anybody else find creative uses for bullets?

Great Deal On A Nice Pocket Knife!
Turboprop21 replied to NJdiverTony's topic in Hot Deal Discussions
Mine shows out for delivery, I've been waiting all day for my new toy. Might end up giving it to my pops and order another for me. -
Came across this video on a blog. Hope it doesn't offend anyone. I just find the context comical, not the person behind it.

Just to clarify this means 30 calendar days not business days correct, holidays included?

This is true, they seem to grow legs sometimes. Then I find them months later and their brand new all over again -
Great Deal On A Nice Pocket Knife!

Been looking for something new and inexpensive for a for weeks now. Picked one up, thank you! -
My personal opinion is go for either. While the Gen3 is proven "reliable" my reason for going Gen4 was purely the slight upgrade in design. Never had one flaw with my 17 to date. Some have had issues, and I'm sure the rest of the negativity comes from the Glock haters finally seeing their chance to "kick a man while he's down." Regardless if I could do it all over again, I'd go with a H&K P30. Now that's a gun, in terms of looks she's like Miss Galaxy vs. the high school homecoming queen (I sure know mine wasn't pretty)

Good luck, glad I dropped out of college years ago to pursue a career in aviation. A buddy posted that on FB the other day, brought back memories.

Hey guys, Just looking for some feedback on what you guys suggest for a flashlight and headlamp. I currently have a fenix tk10 that I carry on my waist and for longer usage I have a stinger. While both are bright the usage time isn't all that great. So I'm looking for something to replace the Fenix tk10. I'd prefer something rechargeable, the CR123 batteries are expensive and I haven't had luck with the CR123 rechargeable batteries. Also it has to be strong enough to reach the top of the tail of a commercial aircraft. Also Im looking for a headlamp, something bright. I have a Petzl led one now, it was pricey but not bright at all. I need something that won't eat batteries twice a week like my Petzl, but suitable enough to do avionics job on planes. Those wires can be impossible to read without proper lighting. Thanks guys

Latest gun for now. It will be a while before I look again. A have a wedding quickly creeping up I need to start focusing on. If anything I'll sell something if I come across a new desire. As for price I researched all over and since they were limited in production between 85'-87' they wasn't much to reference it's price against. Fair market was $500-600 and I'm right in the middle

Well after searching for a reasonably priced revolver for over a year now I finally found one with all the features I wanted. It was either between a Ruger Vaquero which I loved the cowboy action style or this Colt Peacekeeper .357 6". I made the call today and I'm ecstatic for it to come in Some may hate while others love the the parkerized finish. Didn't catch on in the 80's but I'm in love

FTF transfer locations
Turboprop21 replied to Turboprop21's topic in Firearm Hobby / Sport Discussion
My main concern and reason for this thread. -
I remember seeing a thread on this a while back but can't seem to dig it up. My question is where do you feel is safe to do FTF transfers? I'm looking for a place that's mutually comfortable for both parties, a place that would allow explanation of the features of the gun (field strip), and this is not of much importance but somewhere thats of equal distance (Central Jersey here) Ideally a range would be the ultimate decision, but now that it gets darker earlier CR is out the question for me. Thanks in advance guys

Yea it's a PSL 7.62x54r Closest I could afford to a real Dragunov. Thing is dead on accurate, no complaints at all
