  1. I have the 22lr conversion for my sig 229 and I love it, because the ammo is relatively cheap and there is barely any recoil so there is alot of fun to be had. My kit only cost me 225 dollars.
  2. Its very simple, Christie wants to head to the white house in 2016, if he allows the gun bills to pass he will lose almost all his national support from pro gunners around the country which would kill his bid. He is going to find a way to kill this legislation without doing it out right with a veto.
  3. I clean my guns on my patio all the time when its warm. Do it.

    PPQ or P30 - 9MM

I have the PPQ, it takes its place in my pistol box next to me at my desk as HD gun, nice feel in the hand and accurate and the trigger reset is very good.
  5. If the action cycles, to the state its considered good.
  6. I had a feeling for the most part I would have no concern with my legislators for my district they have always voted in favor of pro gun laws and knocked down those that were nonsense but I had to drive the point home as they say. Assemblyman Dancer's response was ok but generic, however samuel thompson, I could tell he read what I had to say. He seems like a bit of hope that these bills might get voted down. I just hope he can press his reason upon the other members of assembly that may be on the fence and or considering to vote poorly. Here are their responses, also robert clifton has not responded to me as of yet. ____________________________ Deear Mr. G------: Thank you for your e-mail regarding proposed gun legislation. I was raised in the South and my father as well as most of our friends and neighbors were gun-owners and law abiding citizens. My dad gave me a 22 caliber rifle when I was about 14. I am not inclined to go overboard in enacting useless laws on this subject. If I can be of further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact my office. Sincerely, Senator Samuel D. Thompson, Ph.D. 12th Legislative District 732-607-7580 ______________________________________________________ Tony, I enjoyed reading your email. I am a strong advocate and supporter of our second amendment constitutional right to carry and bear arms and thank you for taking the time and interest to contact me. Assemblyman Ron Dancer
  7. I have a strong feeling christie will veto the most restricting bills and I think thats why hes remained so quiet on the topic, because he wants a good stage when he does it to forward his bid for presidential run in 2016. Usually I am pretty annoyed with political actions like this but in this case we are mutually benefiting.
  8. Agree with mikey the members of CJRPC and the friends and family they could influence can make a nice boost of support for your campaign.
  9. Police exempt if their revolver magazine capacity exceeds 10 rounds..... This is who makes our laws.
  10. If I was able to go for free, range wise I would take Brick armory, just because they have built such a bad rep their range is usually pretty empty and the range is better for shooting. If someone said to me you have to purchase from a Retail setting gun shop then I would take Shore Shot. Most of their salesmen are not very personable and they are kind of pushy on making a sale. However they will not take your money unless they have the gun in stock or until it comes in. How I go about my purchasing and range time now is I belong to CJRPC and I do all my purchases and transfers through Tony at TJ Sporting Arms. Tony is in the business because he wants to help fellow gun owners, and you can tell when you talk to him he isnt in this to make tons of money.
  11. In Jackson I waited 6 months the first time I filed for permits 4 months the second time. So you are not alone.
  12. Where is that face palm emote, I need to start contacting you before I buy anything gun related now lol
  13. Was there yesterday evening after doing some shopping they have alot like 40 pieces of the 100 round packs and they had about 10 boxes of the 300+ round boxes 9.99 for 100 and 27.99 for the 300+ one. The guy told me they got them in that day.
  14. People have the right to do as they choose with their ammo, I believe everything should be done within moderation. You should treat your ammo like its money in some senses, some gets saved for a rainy day some is expendable and you use that for enjoyment, what is considered moderation is up to that person. I don't believe a person laying on crates of ammo in their basement just basking the reflection of brass and army green colored ammo cans is the way to live. If you dont have a supply of ammo that's expendable that's understandable and you just sit on what you have until it financially makes sense to shoot for enjoyment. Maybe this situation has taught us all we need to plan months or years ahead in our ammo consumption, if you know you shoot 3 boxes of ammo every time you go to range for fun and you go once a week maybe get money together and when prices are acceptable you buy 72+ boxes to last you for 6 months of "fun". Lets get down to the truth of the matter though when SHTF, if SHTF and it became a dog eat dog world although most of us like to think hey we have a good chance of survival and can hold our own. The truth is odds are high most of us would be killed or die of other reasons before we could use up our ammo supplies we Thought we needed. Lets consider our actual ammo usage, say you have a good position, you can guard it well and you can be notified of threats with some sort of decent time frame. You will not be unloading magazine after magazine of ammo that gives away your presence and also shows your potential enemies where to focus on. Lets assume it takes you 15 rounds to kill someone that is coming upon your camp or wherever you held up. If you have 1000 rounds in your stock pile you have the reasonable ability to kill 66 people. Highest confirmed kills is 255 by a soldier and he only got that high because it was staking out people as a sniper. Most of us on the ammo end are over prepared, I say this with high certainty most of our stock piles will out live us in conflict. Hording ammo is a mentality and an obsession for some, the logic behind it is very limited.
  15. PM me the prices if you dont want to post them here. I am pretty interested.
  16. I dont see it, dicks sporting goods only had some crappy Remington 9mm at 40 dollars a box lol. Everywhere else ive looked has had nothing.
  17. I got my NFA lower for 45 dollars two months before newtown they go for 120+ now, to scale that is close to 200% price increase this is only 100% so its a good deal for the times. I hope all this crap blows over and prices go down to a reasonable price.
  18. 1 - AR15 Upper in .300 AAC or .458 Socom: I Bought lower the lower parts kit and fixed stock few months before newtown and I just waited too long so thats my priority purchase right now. 2 - PMR30: Kel-Tec updated this model and I heard it is good times so I want to get this as the poor mans FN 5.7 3 - Stoeger cougar: I have the PX4 and want the metal version and it is actually a bit smaller. 4 - Ak47 variant: I have wanted one of some sort for some time just to have. 5 - Some type of compact 1911: I inherited my dads Springfield 1911 A1 but I want something a little smaller and compact for potential carry.
  19. I dont know how I feel about this, I think people that cant own a gun legally shouldn't be allowed to buy ammo, but I think its just giving into another regulation that may not do anything to curb violence. Lets say I don't own a gun, but I know there is an ammo shortage so I want to buy up a bunch of ammo for resale to make a personal profit, why should that persons right be taken. I just dont know.
  20. If a citizen calls in something of concern, its is the duty of the police to at least check it out, thats what he was doing. However I am sure in this department the guys know of him and are busting his balls. What I am stating is purely based on police having no knowledge of the individual being reported. There is a balance between the laws and officer discretion and judgement, if we want to follow the laws to the T we might aswell have everyone ticked daily for speeding because everyone will go one mile over the speed limit. You cant go with black and white execution of laws on one instance and discretion on another there is a balance. I think the cops were being reasonable and the kid was being a dick and wasting police resources. Had he just shown ID and said I don't consent to this but am doing so under duress and said he is exercising his right to carry, he would have been free to go half way through the video.
  21. The guy in video needs to know police protocol , it doesn't always boil down to Ccode and ordinances. Police have the right to start an investigation when their is reasonable suspicion, in this case brought on by the public because someone called in. That gives him the right to detain and investigate the individual until he can confirm hes not a threat and is being lawful.
  22. I own a food franchise in freehold with about 9 employees and in the process of opening a different franchise in Hamilton that will have about 10 employees,
  23. I bought mine off of amazon, its the same model paid around the same price. I used it to clean brass and works very well with just vinegar for 3 cycles. I use it to clean jewelry and also as others mentioned I used it on gun parts and helps with getting cosmo off. I still have to do use it for my mosin parts see how it comes out, I kind of backed off using it for the brass because tumbling gave similar results but I didnt have to worry about making sure the brass was totally dry and their was no water in the primer pockets.
