  1. An expensive journey of self discovery...kinda like niche celebrity religions! But really, only to say I built that piece by piece with my blood sweat and tears. I want something that is mine and mine alone. And my weekends off are usually spent doing nothing of value, so I might as well start a super expensive time consuming hobby... 2. OK, so I'm going to start buying up parts for a 1911 build. This is going to happen slowly over time, so I'll have more than enough time to buy up everything I need. Heres my part list right now: Doublestar 1911 frame STI .45 ACP GI Slide WC slide release Mag release Ed Brown mainspring housing 1911 auto rebuild kit (has all the springs and pins in one package) match extractor extended ejector (is there a functional difference between extended and regular?) firing pin stop firing pin storm lake barrel/bushing two piece guide rod recoil spring/recoil spring plug beaver tail/thumb safety ultra light hammer/trigger sear/sear spring/hammer strut disconnector plunger tube trijicon tritium sight set (narrow tenon) Parts I'm missing? Tools that are needed (besides patience)? I know it'd be cheaper to buy and upgrade as needed, but this is a build I've wanted for a while now.
  3. I can't believe MIPA has less points than I do...
  4. Same here. Got the mosin one mixed up with something else, and just didn't know about the French Mas. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. No. Haven't been able to get to the range since November
  6. I have the same thing on my AR. It was a Christmas present from my dad so I had to use. The light is bright though, just don't like the laser. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Hey Ty, I was just looking through the site looking at mags and saw that you carry 16 round xd9 mags (or did they're out of stock right now). What's the possibility of getting those pinned to 15 rounds for NJ sales? Would it be possible if there was enough interest? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Do we have a solid address for this school house? Is it a definite that we are using the school house? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I'm ok for Saturday or Sunday (28-29). I just can't do friday or the following weekend. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I'd prefer some where outside of the city, simply because I despise driving in, near, or around major cities. But I'll go pretty much any where that's reasonable. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I have this weekend and next off, so I'm down for when ever. I just don't want to drive further north than say cherry hill, and would even prefer to not drive in the city. No other reason than I just hate driving around there. But I'd do it if we got enough people involved. I'll even be the first to offer to help organize the lunch too. Like pick a time and place, and get a ball park figure of how many will attend.
  12. Because the courts will laugh your suit straight to the trash can if you don't apply. There reason would be "If you didn't apply, how did you know they would deny you?" As far as meeting up, getting together, doing something, anything group wise I'm in. I'll even volunteer my free time after work to help with this. Everyone that wants CCL's in NJ needs to be willing to help out. This can't be just a handful of people trying to buck the system. We need enough people where New Jersey hear's our voice, and can't silence it.
  13. It seems we have an answer to your concerns gentlemen. You won't be denied fid's or p2p's for being denied a ccl. So can we stop pretending it's about the possible denial? Can we finally get our mass application going and tank those numbers? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Thanks! Just got back from delaware and what's a trip to delaware without visiting cabelas? So I came with 75 dollars worth of 9mm...right now I've got it loaded with Winchester HE jhp, and have three boxes of blazer aluminum cased for blasting when I get a chance at the range. 15. It's a little place out near salem. Limited inventory, over priced, no compliance work, and spreads misinformation like its no ones business. Yeah, bobs is a 35 minute drive for me, so when I go it's because they have something I need or I'm in the area. Next time I'm up there I'll check it out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Limited inventory but they have a central warehouse they can drop ship from. Real nice guys. Ended up bs'ing with the guy working today for. Majority of the time I was waiting. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I was approved at 4:15! Sent the check in at 1:40. Figured it was because of the snow storm everything was delayed but still, nervous wait to know? So I got it! 611 otd for tax and nics. Oh yeah... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. So it's been about a month and change since I got my pistol permits. Finally having some extra money laying around (and many discussions in the chat) I went out to buy a handgun. I didn't feel like going all the way up to bobs in glassboro and the local shop near me is just stupid. I ended up at discount ammo and guns in pilesgrove. After fingering some nice pieces of machinery I made a decision. I finally chose a pistol. A Springfield xd-9. Comes with the tritium sights pre installed and picking it up for the sum of 579 plus tax and nics. Now if only the state would get their act together and return my background check... 19. I have friends down here that own, and have carry permits for free states. They claim to want to have the same rights in NJ as other states. But when they are afraid of their own state and tell me that something I have is illegal when it isn't, I tell them that I will gladly stand up and fight for OUR right to own what we want when the man comes knocking. We can't be afraid of our own shadows. We have to stand up and tell them, with no uncertainty, that we will not be denied our NATURAL RIGHT to keep and bear arms. We have to draw the line somewhere in this state and start fighting back. I'm prepared to do what ever it takes to get this state in line with other free states. But who else can say the same? How many brothers do we really have? How many people are willing to stand up with us and shout "we draw the line here, no further!" Everyone claims that they are ready to roar like lions for freedom, but bleat like sheep when they find they might have to explain one denial. That's why when we get an organized effort to actually happen with applications I'll be the first one in my town to apply. It's time we fight back, it's time we take back what's ours. 20. http://www.wowktv.com/story/28138151/update-suspect-shot-during-robbery-in-pinch-wv-dies-from-injuries-video-surveillance-shooting-death Defensive gun use in West Virginia. Involving a pharmacist and several customers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. If someone did a group buy for those I would buy a couple. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. You mean the boolits don't go pointy end down? The problems could have also come from my lower, but I can't explain away a cracked mag.
  23. I bought three a while ago. They needed a lot of force to seat in my mag well, and the seam on one split and won't hold rounds properly. They're a neat idea but meh. I'll probably go with 15/30 magpul's next time I buy mags.
  24. For people that can't get in duct units, I've been recommending cool mist humidifiers simply because they are less likely to cause massive mold build up over the long run. Still need to clean it from time to time but you're less likely to grow mold or bacterial colonies in the unit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
