  1. Being a new shooter, I contacted Ken at EFGA for info on the IDPA match. I just needed to send him a copy of the NRA Basic Pistol Safety course I had taken.
  2. In my own defense I have spent the last x amount of years restoring two houses. A lot of times it is quicker, and safer to walk around doors At EFGA some train in pits with timers, setup a few IDPA targets and work at it.
  3. At least you guys went through the door. Oh well first time jitters hopefully gone. Thanks Bob, Dave and Howard. Can only get better (I hope).
  4. Thanks Bob. Will try to make this match ( my first). Not sure if I'll use Revolver or PM9. Gotta actually use some of this gear....
  5. Bob, How many speed loaders and speed loader holders are needed and are the COMP III's legal for IDPA? Thanks
  6. Some on the board like their Rossi's. Never shot one. The difference between my 1873 and Browning B92 is very noticeable. Kind of strange but just the sound the 1873 makes is "old west". If you were closer you could try my 1873 and B92 and compare. I wouldn't mind trying that Cattleman. Maybe there should be a lever/SA meetup.
  7. I bought 500 rds of .38 spcl from LAX. Not too bad except some of the Rounds don't fit in the cylinder. Had to test fit in revolver before I could use In an rifle.
  8. Sorry - more newb questions. Are mag pouches needed and if so what is available for 22/45 mags? Thanks
  9. 1866 Yellowboy or Model 1873 Short Rifle or Texas Popper.
  10. In Stock (For now) http://www.bravocompanyusa.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=BCM-URG-MID-14BFH-DDRIS2
  11. @Bob. I called CP Sunday afternoon and they still had it. Was down there a few minutes after they opened on Monday and snagged it. It was at my FFL on Tuesday. Thanks again!! Since I was down that far took the opportunity to walk the perimeter of Valley Forge (got soaked). Then took 422 to 61 and Cabela's. Very enjoyable day.
  12. @Bob You were correct. The 686 did not last long. Thanks for the tip!! CP also has a nice 329pd and (if memory serves) a 66-3 2/12 or 3"
  13. Yes PC with a 5" barrel. Can't wait to try it out.
  14. Bob, Was the 686 in matte or satin stainless? Thanks!
  15. Dicks in Easton has some CCI standard velocity in stock. $40 for a brick. Limit 1
  16. +1 on Hawk Mountain - great place. In the cold months for a flat walk I like doing a loop between Stockton and New Hope. Get a cigar in New Hope for the walk back. Or loops between Rieglesville and Milford, Milford and Frenchtown. Merrill Creeek, Watchung Reservation, and along the Palisades are nice. Voorhees, Jenny Jump, Columbia Trail. Hugh Moore Park in PA and the towpaih that runs to Allentown. Kind of fiunny when I pass EFGA in the other side of the Lehigh. Have not been there in a long time but the Mohonk Preserve was especially nice. (Have to scan some of those pictures)
  17. Rugers: Convertable, Bisley Vaquero, Blackhawk S&Ws: 686 Plus 3-5-7, 686 Plus
  18. TJ 4 the Boxers, Really like that set of Vaqueros. NICE
  19. Buy it. The 1866 and 1873s have fantastic actions. .Good gun if you ever want to shoot CAS, I just got an 1873 but have not had it to the range yet. RobertJames - Nice list of levers! Maybe next year a 45-70 and a BLR in .308
  20. Walmart in Easton had 5 or 6 Winchester 100 round value packs. $25.40 I think. They also had clays and a few boxes of 22 mag (3 box limit). Jim Flynn was out of the cheaper 12 gauge but had some cases for 72 or 93. A week or two ago Jim told me he could order 12 gauge by the pallet, but no cheaper than the 56 or 58 I paid at the time.
  21. 51 days. Considering how long others are waiting does not seem too bad.
