  1. Several questions: What are the pros and cons of classified and unclassified? Pro for unclassified is being able to shoot without cover garment. Classified pro your score is actually counted and matched against the same classification? (Does it matter?) My internet search does not give me enough results. How many classifiers are held in the year? Do I have to be an IDPA member 1st to classify? (Online sign up so I can make it in time?) **Anyone shooting G22 and has extra magazines and extra holster? I only have 3 mags total since I just bought it. I'd like to break-in my new G22. Or I can just use my P226 so my followup shots are faster?
  2. Can you sign up for two matches - shotgun and pistol? (not-multigun)
  3. Protector? Not really... 8 months of mush. All this modeling makes me tired. I need a siesta.
  4. I'm in depending on price but no steel or aluminum casing. Need 9mm, .40, 5.56. Maybe 45 if I jump on the 911 bandwagon.
  5. Thanks for the comparison. Looks like PPS and Shield are out for me because its bigger. It's almost nearing in size of my G23 so no reason to get something almost similar. For now its Nano, LC-9 and maybe Kahr, Sig, Kel-tec. I'm getting close to making a decision! Now G17 or PPQ?! LOL, lets not open a new can of worms. Another thread for discussion.
  6. I have a lot of these, new, since I replaced it after buying the rifle. I'll take a photo and list when I get home Sunday.
  7. clamp is separate - Nordic route gets pretty expensive. It may not be necessary since the extension is not that long. Maybe Raz has and input. But I think it secures it well from hard bumps or getting lose.
  8. I'd like to sign up to try all..Currently interested in PPS, Nano, and LC-9 but would like to test others as well. I have a permit so definitely will get something. Magazine disconnect or safety does not bother me. P.S. I'd like to compare G17 and PPQ too. Next in line, new range gun

    Walther PPS

I have an idea - how about a pocket gun meet event?! Folks that have pocket guns help NJGF select what is best for them? That way we have a side-by-side comparison. I just ordered a G22 and a month after would like to pickup a pocket gun. Lets get a name and brand/model list created :-) Serious buyers take preference in the line up.
  10. Just select the 930, 12 GA, +2 option. - http://shop.nordicco...ga-12GA-EXT.htm
  11. Good to know! I may not need to bring pump as a backup then. The manual says 200 rounds in-between cleaning so I hope she runs up to 400 rounds without TLC throughout the class. Funny thing - first few shots I habitually tried to pull the forearm because of muscle memory. Oh yeah, its semi-auto!! LOL
  12. No personal experience with Choate but I researched before buying and Choate seems to be hit or miss. There seems to be more negative feedback in vendor and 930 forum on Choate whereas Nordic have a lot of positive feedback. Also, Nordic fit and finish matches OEM so it does not look like an aftermarket part. Downside, Nordic more expensive! I'm NOT saying Choate will not work, I just don't want to deal with the hassle (if ever) and prefer quality finish so I just suck it up. http://www.midwayusa...ound-parkerized - look at Choate feedback.
  13. It really depends, on the 930 forum some say full load 300 shells before it finally smooths-out and others say 50 while others say none required. My personal opinion is if it requires break-in the firearm is no good. It must be reliable from the get-go. That said, my personal experience has been smooth. I was using low recoil Federal slugs, 00-buck, and bird shots. Slugs were dead on 50 yards with 1inch groupings. Horizontal | top to Bottom - Full, Modified, Improved Cylinder Choke Vertical | left to right - 7, 15, 25 Yards Row 4 x 4 7 1/2 Shot What do you think? Best to keep Full Choke for trap, gun games and self defense?

    Walther PPQ

Where are you guys getting your PPQ and out-the-door cost? PM me if you are willing to share the info so we don't offend sponsors/vendors. Heck, if Crimson Trace makes one for this 'll get two (one in .40 for HD). This is going to be a range gun.
  15. Same as NJ law except that your magazine may not exceed 10 rounds. Others can correct me or chime in.
