  1. And THAT ^^^^^^^ is gonna look like a walk in the park if these morons do a headlong rush into their version of "true" gun control....
  2. What is the "...openly admitted lie" that Bush and company engaged in? Was it the yellow cake uranium that U.K. intelligence sources, as well as South African intelligence, IIRC, reported being present in Iraq at the time? It's easy to armchair all of these years later and say the Iraq invasion and deposing of Saddam Hussein was not well-advised. There was a lot of precious American blood spilled and we've still got a country in relative turmoil politically, and you still cannot count on them being an "ally"....if there is such a thing for America in the Mideast at all. But it did get rid of one murderous scumbag and his two heirs. It did draw in an awful lot of fanatical Muslims who jumped at the opportunity to cross sabers with the Great Satan. How'd that work out for them?
  3. At this point, with the left and almost ALL of the media spreading misinformation, fallacious charges about the NRA and shooters in general, why should our standards being any higher than theirs? It's not like it's gotten us anywhere, has it?
  4. Thanks for the info, but something in me just refuses to be treated like a shmuck, even more than the way my own state treats me. Plus, I'd have to pay gas and tolls for the privilege ;-) Not that you or anyone else that frequents that range is a shmuck; I just don't understand the rationale for a policy like that or why they'd have LEO's policing the place as RSO's. But hey, whatever floats your boat, my man. Have fun, and if you're ever in the Bayonne area drop me a PM and I'll take you to the PBA range here.
  5. IDK. I've never seen a longer-form video than this one. I'm sure that slick little grin on Chuck "Where's the camera, where's the camera?" Schumer's face disappeared though.
  6. I know this has been around for a long time and that most of you have probably viewed it, but I think the emotionally-charged, yet factually-sound testimony Ms. Gratia-Hupp gives is more relevant than ever:
  7. With all due respect, your father shouldn't be giving Dick's any business, period. Now it's a moot point.
  8. Problem is, Biden IS that stupid and he's the guy our prez put in charge to come up with "solutions" to the gun/violence issue. Just heard a snippet on the radio as they covered the initial meeting of the committee of morons and they're referring to "a ban on all semi-automatic weapons", so God knows where they hell they're going with this.
  9. I'm no expert, but if it was me there's no way I'd bring anything that can fire a projectile--except maybe for my vintage Wham-O! Air Blaster--into New York.
  10. It was long overdue, but watching the vid of Mr. Pratt going at it with this twit prompted me to finally join the GOA, throwing them some extra $$ for the long, hard fight ahead.
  11. I don't know what it is about the guy, besides his shrill gun-grabber persona, of course, that rubs me the wrong way exactly. But I can picture him in another, long-ago life, wearing a powdered wig, a decorous red coat, pinching some snuff from under his nostril and commanding to an underling: "Put this rebel rabble at the end of a rope". LOL
  12. Piers Morgan is just a reprehensible Limey bastard. I'm sick to death of foreign pundits being given their own shows so they can tell us what is wrong with our country. BTW, Mr. Pratt acquits himself admirably and is one of the best spokesmen for gun rights that I've heard. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-FVQgLkbLjQ
  13. Except for the sexist statements in the fifth paragraph from the end, this is a nice read that is thought-provoking.
  14. Now comes word that some "progressive" educators and school systems are contemplating doing away with cursive writing instruction. I hope none of the youngsters that miss out on it ever get lost in the wilderness or at sea: they'd never be able to spell "HELP" on the hillside or put a message in a bottle. Seriously, I shudder every time a young person at my place of employment has to submit a written report of any kind, so awash are they in typos, poor grammar, fetid punctuation, etc. Most of these folks, by the way, are either graduated from, or matriculating in, college.
  15. Even for a rabid gun-grabber like him, Hamill really went off the reservation, calling for--among other things--a two year period of illegibility to own firearms if you've been fired from a job or divorced. http://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/hamill-guns-christmas-america-stars-stripes-article-1.1223264 In fact, today's News is actually chock-full of anti-2A goodies; from feature articles to the Editorial page, and if you go to the online edition you have this "Sign Our Assault Weapons Ban Petition" popping up all over the place. There's also that ridiculous article about how a guy was shocked to find out he could walk into a Westchester County gun store and--GASP!--buy an "assault rifle". Just goes to show you that the Fourth Estate, at least in this metropolitan area--have given up all pretext of being balanced; they have ceded their responsibility of reporting the news and instead are shaping it via their extreme anti-2A attitudes. I've already cancelled my subscription to the News and the Jersey Journal (for having a similar slant on the gun rights issue), and the NY Post is next.
  16. Well, now that the buy-back has fixed the violent crime epidemic in Camden, me and the little lady are gonna invest in a waterfront condo down there.
  17. Way to go, Bravo Company! Putting an order together for them right now.
  18. I could have sworn CTD's "Likes" were about 207,000 when I first checked, and now they are down to 195,926. WELL over 1,500 folks per hour "unliking" their feckless asses. Wally World and Dick's do not seem to be suffering the same fate, owing perhaps to the fact they are not firearms/ammo specific companies. Wal-Mart's "Likes" actually went UP while I was checking out their page. It would be pretty disheartening if Cabela's takes any further action to restrict the sales and distributions of firearms. If they are paying attention to what's happening with CTD I don't think they'd be that short-sighted.
  19. I received this response from CTD after I wrote them a nasty-gram: Cheaper Than Dirt! has temporarily suspended online sales of firearms. As a long time supporter of the Second Amendment, Cheaper Than Dirt! will continue to promote the safe and responsible use of firearms by law abiding customers. During this temporary suspension, we will review our policies and promotions. Roberta Wilson
  20. You're a better man than me, taking this so well. Think about it: you had GUNS DRAWN ON YOU BY A SWAT TEAM, guy! And for what transgression exactly? Because one of your shitbag neighbors wanted to make a statement of some sort. Sorry, I'd have a lawyer laying a no-nonsense, "Cease and desist from further harassment of my client"-type letter on the C.O.P., pronto. Small town or no, at this point I'd be less interested in keeping the peace with these great pals of yours on the force, and more interested in not EVER being put in the gunsights of the local PD for a BS reason.
  21. It really is astounding to go to their FB page and hit "refresh" every ten seconds. By my count they are losing 10-15 "Likes" each time I check. The replies to their postings from all of us cheesed-off firearms enthusiasts is friggin' funny as hell, too.
  22. Nutless wonders. I've only bought ammo there, but stopped after nearly getting into it with the guy behind the counter at the Woodbridge store a couple of years ago. For sure I will never return.
