you might not need the baby uplula mag loader for the hypothetical SR22. The magazines have a thumb follower on the side which make it very easy/quickly/painlessly to load the 22lr by pressing down on the follower.

Supposedly S&B has discontinued applying the red primer sealant. Also, I think BH's rule applies to steel bullets (not casings) which I'm pretty sure S&B does not produce for handgun ammo, (not sure about rifles) It's worth checking with BH for clarification. Last time I shot at BH, they asked me if all my ammo is domestic - but I didn't inquire why they asked ...now it kind of makes sense.

Considering that the club/range is in the residential area, I find it difficult to believe about the 24hr range access - would anyone be able to confirm this? Thanks

I went with Sig p229 because it "FELT" most comfortable in my hand (small hands - this includes the distance to the trigger) compared to say Glock or SW M&P. However, after trying out a CZ 75 (metal frame at competitive price) I can't justify the price of the Sig anymore - though the Sig still feels more comfortable to hold.

+1 for CZ 75 B. it's super accurate, nice trigger, comfortable even for smaller hands, and less kick than sig226/229. ...and much cheaper.

I tried the Ruger SR22 this past weekend (borrowed from the stranger in the port next to mine) I only shot 10 rounds, but my impressions were very favorable. The gun seems very small and feels very light (total opposite of my GSG 1911-22) but I loved it too. (I removed magazine disconnect on the gsg, but not sure if easy/possible to do the same on the ruger)

These are common issues with the original GSG and ATI is well aware of it. The new GSG's come w/ the new guide rod, new spring (symmetric), and metal barrel bushing. I bought mine in mid December (from bud's) and it has updated parts.

any feedback on on the Colt yet? I'm debating between the gsg and the colt. I havent actually seen/felt the Colt in person. let us know your impressions. thanks

I was foolish enough to buy in the store

i was set on cz 75b (p-01 or sp-01) in 9mm but somehow ended up getting the sig p229r instead. I have fairly small hands, and the sig just fit perfectly (more perfectly than the cz, probably because the trigger tad sits closer in double action than in cz.) But that just depends on individual's hands. The p229 shoots beautifully right out of the box, and is super comfortable. Seems your wife already loves the p226 (which im assuming it's kinda "yours") but just to compare, I would still recommend trying out a CZ 75b (if you/she can find one to shoot) the CZ is super accurate, low recoil, equally reliable. This may, however, make choosing more difficult. (in my case, the CZ is just a matter of time) ...think the price on the Sig is nice though.

Good point there I didn't realize that SS charges per person (unlike BH per port) until today. SS' website implies that it's PER PERSON from Friday till Sunday... I went on Wednesday and ended up paying per person. guess it will be BH next time. thanks for the tip!

thanks. I'm all for supporting local. Already talked to dealers here, and done the price request. For my 1st FA i'll grab locally as the deals online are not any better considering ffl fees. the 2nd pistol, however, the difference is significant(after ffl fees.) SS agreed to transfer as they'd make more on transfer than by matching the price. Mainly, i wasn't sure what to expect when buying online. thank you everyone for your advice.
