  1. I think he was referring to this picture about the finger in trigger guard. Yes, I know the slide is locked back, but not a good habit to get into.
  2. Hollowpoints are good to go on any land owned by you, in your home or otherwise, or while being transported between any land owned by you (2C:39-3g). They are also good to go anywhere handguns are good (2C:39-3f). Note, 2C:39-3f(2) is NOT exempted and AP handgun ammo is illegal everywhere except military/LEO, when explicitly authorized to possess said ammo. But then again AP handgun ammo is illegal under federal law too, so that's a non-issue. Insert standard not legal advice clause here.
  3. Not as vauge as some laws but there is certainly room for interpretation. Some may interpret it to mean you must be a citizen of the issuing state. Some may interpret it to mean you must be a citizen of any other state. But it does say that you must be a "citizen of the other state," i.e. not a Delaware resident.
  4. So long as he isn't a Delaware resident. Non resident permits aren't valid in your home state.
  5. While I agree that .223/5.56, and other "rifle" calibers are not designed for use in a handgun, I simply do not trust a court in which judges make statements such as "Citizens deal in firearms at their own peril" to do the same.
  6. The bill does say that they can ban any ammo they want. "Handgun ammuntion" is not defined anywhere in 2C:39-1, or anywhere else in NJSA that I can find. Since there are AR pistols as well has handguns that shoot 7.62x39 as well as many other traditionally rifle calibers, there is nothing preventing the AG from declaring them to be handgun ammunition, and since any common "rifle" round will penetrate any body armor not specifically designed to protect against rifle rounds....
  7. Not only that but I do beleive that the Five-seveN itself costs quite a bit more than your standard handgun too...
  8. Also, the ammo that is specifically targetted (SS190) has been declared by the ATF to be AP handgun ammo since at least 2005 and is thus already illegal under both state and federal law... http://www.atf.gov/p...ale-pistol.html
  9. It doesn't matter if they are specifically targetting the SS190, that is already illegal both under federal law and state law. http://www.atf.gov/press/releases/2005/01/012005-openletter-tech-fabrique-nationale-pistol.html What is it with our legislature that seems to think we need to take an already illegal item/act/whatever and pass another law to make it illegal again? Not only that, but I would love for the people for this law to cite a single case where SS190 ammo was used in a crime in this state, let alone the country.
  10. Everything I've read/watched about the SR22 seems to say that its one of the best 22 handguns out there. For the past month or so I've been shooting a Walther P22, since that is the only 22 handgun the range has to rent and 22 ammo is all I can afford, and for the most part is pretty good. If the SR22 is the same size and is comfortable when I finally get my hands on one I'll probably be getting that as my first gun, whenever CHPD gets my FID/P2P issued... I think I would really prefer a full caliber with a 22 conversion, since then I could have something for home defense and range time, but that would cost 3x what the SR22 does.
  11. So your range master thinks I can't keep a handgun ready to go in a safe under my bed? Methink he's wrong on that.
  12. I completely agree. After I recieve my FID and P2P I will be sending a letter to the Cheif and the Mayor stating how I feel about this and that it is a violation of state law. I want my FID first though so they can't "lose" it.
  13. Well, since they always seem to forget where they hid the acorns I guess they effectivly plant new oak trees...
  14. The only problem of a 1911 or anything else with a 22 conversion is that it will cost 2 or 3 times what the Sr22 does.
  15. How does the grip on the SR22 compare to that of the Walther P22? And where did you find an SR22 in stock? I haven't been able to find any yet.
  16. Drilling holes in it would do no good. The Kel-Tec PLR16 cannot be made NJ legal under any circumstance.
  17. The one thing I've seen in Delaware laws that I don't like is that if you want a CCW permit, you have to put an ad in your local paper for a couple weeks first.
  18. Please tell me PA has felony murder doctrine... Give the two surviving dirtbags a murder charge as well for their dead friend.
  19. Weak thumb would be awfully close to that handle if you keep it against the frame, assuming the SP22 is similar size to the P22.
  20. So long as the barrel is not threaded it should be ok. The 97s is NOT ok though, since it weighs 58oz, and has a barrel shroud. Still ugly as all hell though.
  21. Not sure where you get that. Flash supressor and threaded barrel are the same evil feature, so you can have a standard M1A with no bayonet lug and a flash supressor and threaded barrel. If you want to add a bayonet lug though you have to pin/weld a brake on first.
  22. Definately a no-go. Ugly as all hell too, but that's just my opinion.
  23. Too bad we can't play with them here. Fortunately my brother has a bit of land in the middle of nowhere PA... Why is everything fun illegal in this state?
  24. That's not an appeal, thats an entirely new case. This case is a state case, and the state Supreme Court ruled on it, its done.
  25. http://www.njsp.org/about/fire_ag1.html No, it's not statute, but according to the NJSP, Colt Match Targets (Model of a Colt AR-15), and M1A are not illegal, so long as the M1A is a ban-compliant model.
