  1. the steel body is crimped to prevent the follower from going past 15 rounds, its more permanent than a rivet but i do see your point what are somethings to make it "more permanent" that don't involve chopping the mag?
  2. hang on brother, i found them for half that price http://www.magcommander.com/collections/products/products/a-s-c-stainless-15-30-round-223-5-56-ar-15-magazine
  3. http://www.magcommander.com/collections/products/products/a-s-c-stainless-15-30-round-223-5-56-ar-15-magazine these mags are crimped at the body so there is no way to load more than 15 rounds without destroying the mag
  4. I wanted to know before I bought a few. from what it looks like, the body is crimped so the follower cannot go past 15 rounds, is this enough to make it nj legal? heres a link to their site http://www.ammosc.com/223-stainless-steel-15-rd-blocked-30-rd-magazine/
  5. just like the title says. i just got into reloading and would rather not pay the additional $30 midway charges for hazmat shipping. anybody know who sells power and primers in NJ? (for 9mm and .45acp) thanks
  6. wanted to update this, I ended up going with an FNX45, but its in jail now until my PD and all the infinite wisdom grant me my p2p
  7. im looking to finally start taking some handgun classes. Ive looked into RTSP, Gunforhire, even tactical response but I'm still on the fence because the costs vary what are some things i should know or look out for? What first class should I take? Ive been shooting for a while now and would like something beyond the "never touched a gun" crowd lol
  8. on that note, has anyone actually been arrested or charged with possessing an "assault weapon" based on what it says on the receiver? or is this just spooky language?
  9. care to explain this a little? I was under the impression that if it said "ak47" anywhere on it, that automatically made it "identical" to an ak and therefor a nogo same way an ar-15 cant say ar-15 on it
  10. stupid question im looking at the new DDI stamped ak, but i believe it says "AK-47" on the roll mark in front of the mag well is it a no-go based off that alone? edit: found a pic on their facebook page
  11. sorry to bring back a dead thread, but whats the consensus on these? http://www.magazineblocks.com/magento/products/magblock-kits/ar15-magblocks/15-round-magazine-limiters.html magblock + super glued floor plate + pinned through floor plate & mag block = nj legal?
  12. I need a welder to weld the floor plate of two steel 15/30 AK mags message me if you are or know a welder, thanks
  13. Not to jack the thread, but what's the verdict on The vickers glock sights?
  14. havent really given that much thought, how much do mags run?
  15. I was looking at three, I already have a gen 4 glock 19, BUT I do have a second permit that expires in may 1) Beretta m9 2) FNX 45 (not the tactical version) 3) SIG mk25 (or other 226 variant) I already have a decent pile of 9mm, but i wouldn't mind getting a .45 ideally i want to spend under $600, i also like to buy alot of mags so relatively cheap mags are a bonus. thanks
  16. is it 7.62 or 5.45? and does it work reliably with fmjs?
  17. I want the awb removed more than anything. its over 20 years old. all the weapons they ban by name are all nearly outdated plus its really easy to argue and punch all kinds of holes through its logic
  18. no, they put those up the day after I ordered.....as usual but they do look like an awesome deal
  19. I got tired of waiting for the new c39 and ordered a WASR10 from atlantic, along with the rifle i ordered a 74 style muzzle brake just in case but is the slant one it comes with already nj legal? thanks
  20. the fact that the spur exists really makes me loose faith in humanity
  21. i was soo close to starting a .308 build, especially with the cost of palmetto's lowers, ultimately what stopped me is that the only "adequate" range within a reasonable distance is range 14, which is only 200 yards so i dropped the idea and now i'm looking to get an ak to fill that .30 cal gap lol
  22. didnt they try this in DC a while ago and it was shot down as unconstitutional?
  23. Yea I'm from Bergen county, sucks becauses there's only a handful of ranges that are within an hour drive
