Telli g the difference between small pp and large pp
Mikeythumbs replied to Mikeythumbs's topic in Ammunition & Reloading
Thanks Pete I will check most of the stuff I have that is small pp is Speer lawman .45 the primers don't look crimped but I will check -
The few things I can think of besides the usual stuff guns ammo eye and ear protextion I don't know if you need cardboard target backers targets a staple gun to hang targets screwdriver or tool kit to do little things like adjust sights and the like. These are just a few of the things I take to cjrpc someone might want to add not shore what south jersey has and doesn't have

Telli g the difference between small pp and large pp

Thanks guys sorry bout the semi x rated topic name will sort and start with whatever I have more brass of -
I haven't started reloading yet but I am collecting brass .45 to be exact. When I look at some of the brass the primers look smaller I know they sometimes loa .45 with spp is there a size measurement I can use I tell the difference or just hold the primers up and if it looks the same size use that one in that case. I also one if anyone has had any ignition problems using the spp in .45 brass Hope this isn't too newbie if a question but need to start reloading soon to feed that beast even a 18 a box it can get pricey real fast Thanks Mikeythumbs

What parade is today -
What is an extended range session I can put 250 300 round of acp down range an be fine but if you are shooting a bruiser like ,454 cas or harder and want to shoot it for a while I could see using a glove or getting a muzzle break and a heavy gun

What exactly are you hurting. Maybe you need to show someone your grip. Maybe if you get your grip squared away your finges wont hurt. If it is from recoil get some lighter loads

The s&w is a nice 1911 and I have heard good things about them. The only thing is you are going up a couple of hundred in price from the ruger to the cheapest s&w

Thanks for the info HD. i have not shot action steel yet i am using 8 rounders i currently have 6 of them plus 2 7's if i need them. the only problem is i only have room for 6 on my pouches. Where did you get the +p brass can you order it or was someone just shooting it and you got the brass. Thansk -
I have handled them both and i bought the range officer over the ruger. The RO just felt better in the hand and more solid. It is about 75 to 100 dollars more then the ruger.

Yeah i am tossed up between getting a nine or getting reloading equipment and loading down the .45. I will do both at some point but it is just a matter of making the decision of which to do first -
Anyone shooting highpower this weekend think i might give it a shot with loaner equipment

Old Bridge Sunday Steel 6/17
Mikeythumbs replied to East Brunswick Sportsman's topic in Competitive & Fun Shoot Discussion
WOW i am supprised not that they are the same stages at both but I did better in both rim and pistol. 51 seconds better in iron pistol and 43 seconds better in rim. Plus i got rimfire below 100 seconds and pistol below 200 seconds. Ok im hooked but i need to start reloading cause these full power .45 loads are killing me on iron pistol. 230 gr at 850 would be a power factor of 195 in uspsa. Cant shoot cj steel this month but hope to make old bridge and not sure about either uspsa not to mention just the cost of that .45 ammo -
