  1. Just an 870 Police that I had done in NP3 Plus. Really happy with the Magpul furniture. Waiting on the SGA sling adapter to run a MS3, and the low cheek kit to raise the stock height.
  2. Two questions... First, where about are you located? I'm using Tapatalk, so sorry if it is clearly visible on the actual website. Looked at your profile (don't know how complete it is via the app), and didn't see it. Second, how is the throat and muzzle?
  3. Not to knowledgeable on the Sterling, but my biggest complaint on most sub-guns is the lack of a bolt hold open feature when empty. Same issue I have with the AK, and why I prefer my SKS. Love my CX4 for that reason.
  4. An M1 Carbine would be on my list... or the paratrooper model. Older pistols with stocks, such as the C96 and Hi-Power. Really wanted one since the ATF gives those as an exception to SBRs. Too bad they are called sawed-off shotguns...
  5. If they have it, it shouldn't be an issue... When Phil has to order it, then you see the horror stories. Personally, I'd see if the Gallery of Guns has what you are looking for, then ship to SS. My father bought a few, and they were there in a few days. Keep in mind that all the fees are covered though the sale. SS does have a habit of attempting to charge an additional $15 on those. My father got pissed when a guy attempted it twice, even when Kenny told him both times that it is included.
  6. Shoot at BA... buy at SS. When I go to BA, I'm usually alone in the range. Don't know what the deal is at SS, but I went there to pick a gun up and the shop was full with people waiting to get on (more than an hour wait). I had a few issues with them, especially with their gunsmith cracking two lamps on the Trijicons he installed on my PX4 (chipped up the finish, as well, but I got the gun plated). Another time, my friend and I were shooting in the last two lanes to the left side. He started to notice small holes going into his target... smaller than the .40 or 9mm we were shooting. A group of morons were shooting a .22 or .25 across three lanes, and the rounds were plinking off the side wall. We left and told whoever was up front, but for the five or so minutes we were looking at the cases, nothing was done. However, they always handled purchases great there. If they say a gun will be there on Friday, you can walk in at 5:00 knowing it is there. BA, I'll never buy anything from them unless it is there and exactly what I want (even still, I'll be checking their prices on my iPhone). The SKS I got was there somewhat quick (I did go to SS to get a quote, Kenny took my info and never got back to me), and being a member, I wanted to keep my business in the same place. NOT ANYMORE! The wait on my two M&Ps didn't bother me, but when you are told multiple times by Phil that they are in transit or will be there on X day, you start to get pissed off. Sucks for them, being I tend to buy multiple handguns at times... with my next group likely going to be around $2,000.
  7. The UrbanERT is awesome. The position is further up than the rear mounts on the CX4. Makes it a lot more comfortable. I also have a setup so I can use the same sling on my AR with ACE Entry stock. Didn't go that route with my 870, being it will run the SGA stuff and MS3.
  8. If this is the case, I just got one the other day. Just from looking it over and installation, I feel it was a good choice... even though shooting it will make the final decision.
  9. Average use, I'm at about 60% by the end of the day with no charging. Bored, and playing games, it might get closer to 0%, but will definitely get through the day. However, I bought the iPhone for the music capabilities. In the car, it is charging as I listen to music. In the dock at home, listening to music, it is charging. So, I really couldn't care how long the battery lasts, since I have to go out of my way to deal with it.
  10. Actually, it was the US Cavalry uniform...
  11. Transfers are more at BA than SS. They don't really post those prices, but I think it was in the $60 range.
  12. Thanks. Saw it on the Tapatalk list, and figured it would be a good one to join. I ordered and paid for the guns on 10/25/11. The Pro came in the first half of January, and the Compact came it somewhere mid to late January. Even when it was getting close, I was told the Pro would take a little longer, but that came first. I was kind of happy they got me the Talo Edition, but I did order a Compact with night sights (I put Dawson sights on both, but still annoyed it wasn't considered; when I got the guns, I was mainly happy to have them since my permit was going to expire in a few weeks). This was an improvement over my father's Glock, being he ordered a Gen3, Phil said he would give him a Gen4 at the same price, then ended up with the Gen3 anyways. Any time I've ordered from SS, I never had to put all the money up, and if they said it would be there on Friday, you could walk in knowing it would be there. I had to have gone into BA at least a dozen times, being told my guns were supposed to be there at a certain time. That, in itself, is why I'll take my firearms purchases elsewhere.
  13. For a reason... Unsure about the rest of you, but when I usually go to BA, nobody else is there. So, I don't worry about range officers. SS lost me as a range user due to the lines as well as their gunsmith cracking two lamps on the PX4 night sights he installed. I stopped buying guns from them when I wanted to get an SKS, left my info with Kenny, and never received a call back (BA actually got one for me relatively quick). So, I got a membership at BA. Figured I'd try to buy handguns from them, so I ordered two M&P40s (Compact and a 5-inch Pro). Never will do that again! Phil told me a week (transferred a pistol from my dad, so had time to kill), so like two weeks later, I was a little annoyed that they weren't there. It literally took two and a half months for them to come in, which wouldn't have bothered me if I wasn't being told each week that they were on the way or being shipped. My father had a similar problem, first with a Glock 17, then a .22 Bobcat (he had to settle with a P22 due to the expiration). Taught me a lesson, so now on, all guns are bought through SS (real fan of Davidson's). Doesn't bother me, since I'm 10 minutes from both. Phil really screwed himself with that, being I spent $1,200 on those guns, and tend to purchase firearms somewhat regularly. Have three on the buying soon list, probably upwards of $2,000.
