  1. Careful... I know this allegedly says In Stock. But some of us have never received orders placed on Black Friday And they don't answer the phone or reply to emails timely I won't order from them again. There's a difference between coming late like PSA, and then there's never come at all.
  2. after 3 weeks they said they would arrive shortly.. after another week i replied to that person and told them if they are not in by 1/4/13 i am canceling my order. i politely said "i think 6 weeks to wait was fair". so this reminds me.. i have to cancel..i actually don't even know if my credit card was charged yet.
  3. i've never stove piped mine ever with Mini-Mags.. cheap bulk, yes.. havent tried the "AR-Tactical" through it yet.
  4. This is getting so redundant where people say there is "lots of 223 ammo out there" but they don't specify the brand or prices.. yes, there is ammo to be had if you want to run stuff that is 30% or higher in price than "regular" ammo. Its like saying there is plenty of gasoline, if you want to buy Premium.. and not regular..
  5. thanks for all the responses guys.. but for the guys who said they wear plugs only.. is that INDOORS?? you are okay with the level of protection of plugs INDOOR?
  6. no.. first thing they determine in NRA intro class is which eye is dominant.. i'm kinda shocked how nobody has a similar issue? or the stock nudges their muffs and they just don't notice.. look i'm not saying the stock completely smushes my earmuffs like i'm uncoordinated and its bashing into my ears.. i'm saying about an "inch" nudges the bottom of the ear muff as i get my eyes down to sight level.. I mean, even check out Vlad's avatar above.. if he was wearing ear muffs you don't think the bottom of the muffs would be touching/nudging that butt stock? its just that little annoyance..
  7. okay, you guys have helped me with glasses/goggles, you've helped me with a cap/hat.. now help me with when i run a rifle or shotgun when i get my cheek down there the buttstock moves my ear muffs.. i shoot indoors only (for now).. and i've just recently gone from just muffs to plugs + muffs (on advice from the board, and yes, i am pretty anally protective about my hearing). everytime i bring my rifle up to aim it knocks my ear muffs.. do i just grin and bear it? I can't help but thinking it is impeding the effectiveness of the tight seal on the muffs.. I am currently using the Leight electronic muffs which i thought were low profile just for that purpose. what's your guys advice/experience?
  8. well i just checked the list at the top of this forum.. old bridge and cherry ridge are the only ones within an hour of me.. (and Tenafly but i don't know if that is restricted to residents only). so now i will dig through the forums reading about the Mecca's of OB and CR and see if there are waiting lists, availability.. etc etc..
  9. i've been to RTSP about 5 times.. always after 5 pm.. (but its been about 3 months since last..). Was it so busy mid day because a lot of people are off work this week? how can it be that busy mid day?
  10. With ranges being more and more crowded i wonder.. does being a member ($300+ right?) allow you to cut past non-members waiting to use the range? If that was true then i would definitely pay a yearly fee.. If i was running a range i would 100% offer that policy. and no.. i'm not interested in a "members only" range time that is the same time i'm usually in bed or eating breakfast..
  11. what day of week and time were you at RTSP and it was "packed" ?
  12. Okay. Looks like the key was grain size. Thanks guys.
  13. M193, XM193BL, XM193J, XM193BK, XM193CBP, M855, XM855, XM855LC ?? now that ammo is scarce its not as simple as picking up Remington anywhere you want.. i'm lost on ammo designations... anybody got a link or cliff notes on what the codes mean? or is it just manufacturer names and it really isnt a code for anything..? but if the numbers do mean something (like ball size or whatever) then i'll dig deeper into it.. i have this link so far: http://www.ar15.com/archive/topic.html?b=3&f=16&t=549475
  14. was at that store on Saturday.. the only thing left was green tip for $12 a box.. so when you say plenty of 223 what brand and dollar?
  15. why does the 22LR run dirtier? i'm guessing it has something to do with the fact that the bolt goes back via blowback and not the tube?
  16. 4 permits incoming?? *drool* now with all the hoops to jump through lately its good to hear someone can still get 4..
  17. google around.. what you're looking for might be safety goggles with prescription INSERTS. and then there is this: http://www.esseyepro.com/Rx-Ready-Inserts_164_category.html
  18. Black8552... yes.. that's what i would have expected.. that looks like others i saw online.. i'm thinking about sending them the pic and seeing if they say send it in.. i'm sure they will.. but who knows how long it will take to get back with all that's going on.. i'm a pretty handy guy, not afraid to attempt it myself.. just dont want to screw up any warranty issues.. what gets fouled up in the rifle if i have a gas key malfunction? are there major damage ramifications?
  19. that BCG is from a brand new Stag Arms model 3.. (without the Plus Package). i'm undecided if i will inquire with them about the quality.. or just figure out how to stake it myself (which i have no idea.. hammer??)
  20. Don't bother with the "you get what you pay for".. clearly this would not be called exceptional, but is a tap really adequate? I will not name the brand yet, some guys on here i have PM'd and know.. i'm just looking to get thoughts is this so bad i should send back immediately. In my google searches on this company i have seen Youtube videos (about 6 months ago) comparing different company's stake jobs and this company was much much better than mine pictured below. I'm afraid quality might be going down in the demand that's going on. Yes, i know you get what you pay for. But the upside is at least i got me a rifle before the sellouts!
  21. gives you all the attention you need.. and then some..
  22. hmmm... i understand where you are coming from.. thanks..
  23. Did they have carbines or midlength? (sorry.. just trying to lighten the mood...i probably would have crapped my pants..)
  24. i don't get it.. Magpul is like the icon right? The longest length rail (not handguard, just rail) they sell is 5 inches long? What am i missing here? Is it just that guys buy the full handguard with the rails already built into it that nobody buys "add-on" rails? what if you get the regular MOE handguard you can't put a rail on that that goes the entire length? because the longest "add on" MOE rail is only 5 inches long. I'm new to this AR thing and learning the accessories..
