  1. fudds are assholes who don't care about 2A at all. as long as they can have their scoped deer 30-06 deer rifle and shotguns they are happy. the only semi auto gun they like is their duck gun. if you don't like what they like then they will berate you and tell you that you are the problem and you don't need X rounds to kill a deer. they are gun owners who go against their own self interest.
  2. the issue with steel case ammo is most of it is loaded with dirty powder and bimetal jacketed bullets. the steel case has nothing to do with wearing the barrel in my opinion. the faster barrel wear comes from the harder jacket. the stoppages (stuck cases, FTE, FTF etc.) come from the dirtier powder. in my opinion the pros of steel cased ammo far outweigh the cons so that is what i usually buy. the fact that i can shoot cheaper (more often) and actually may get a chance to work through an occasional stoppage(i've actually never had one with steel or brass cased ammo that i didn't set up on purpose to practice) in a calm controlled setting, i feel makes me better equipped to work through a problem if i ever need to under stress. i think the quality of your gear plays more of a part in the stoppages than the ammo you choose. i've seen more cheap guns choke on quality brass case ammo than quality gun choke on cheap steel case. i don't baby my gun and haven't cleaned it in well over 1500 rounds and like i said, i've never had a stoppage i didn't create to practice.
  3. you dont need FOPA if its legal to simply possess everywhere but nj. so yes it does give you an answer to your underlying question. but im pretty sure FOPA covers ammo as well as guns. google is your friend.
  4. no. shoot the cheapest stuff that runs in your gun. the money you save over the life of your barrel shooting bimetal jackets will buy you a new barrel when you need it.
  5. how does that not help with your question? if nj is the only place to have a law against HP ammo then it is fine to have it everywhere else.
  6. dats raycis. dey all good boys. dey dint do nuffin. dem raycis crackas was wearin raycis uniforms with dey cowboy hats.
  7. i'm with you man. that shit pisses me off to no end. just people minding their own business walking down the street and that happens. and people wonder why i hate going to where that kind filth lives... kudos to her for stepping up and to him for not just goin down and giving up. that takes some guts to keep in the fight like that. ive been sucker punched and had my nose broken in a situation like that down the shore once. fortunately for them as soon as they saw blood they ran away because i was keyed up, pissed off and ready to oblige them. and BTW the group that attacked me was white kids and not racially charged.
  8. don't forget that if you go rt 81 the general speed of traffic is a little slower and you will be goin up and down lots of hills/mountains. that said, i like the drive much better than 95. it is much more scenic.
  9. i still dont see how metal got inside the upper from the latch... id disassemble your upper and degrease it and look for other wear spots or signs of carrier tilt. the metal inside has me more worried than the latch. or you could just do as HE says and carry on because you have an unstoppable piston AR and it never needs service or lube and will run forever... personally id go with option 1 then sell it and buy an BCM upper.
  10. the key to driving anywhere is when you leave. i've driven all the way to mississippi on via 81 and all the way to miami via 95 multiple times. leave right after dinner when the evening rush hour is just winding down. then you'll have at least 12 hours of clear open roads before the next rush. just load up on snacks redbull and coffee and water. i find that if i keep a fuller bladder i can usually stay awake longer.
  11. if you don't want to walk them for miles then ride a bike. theres a guy with a black lab near me that rides up and down the street with his dog pulling him. its pretty funny but the is quite pooped after about a 3 trips up and down the road. the dog gets his exercise and probably doesn't chew the house up.
  12. thats what you get for putting your faith in kraut space magic instead or sound german engineering of sig or walther.
  13. only looking to breed to continue good genes not for money. if my dog isn't into the competitions and/or can't gain the titles then i won't breed it. i'm looking for a male so i probably wont have to worry about whelping puppies or anything like that. anyone here ever deal with http://blackthornkennel.com/index.html? website seems solid and she seems to be active on the GSD forum. probably gonna send an email to her unless someone here has had a bad experience...
  14. i have a pretty large yard. once the pup is old enough thats where it will stay during the day. id like to get involved with some sort of competition as well to give it a job so to speak.
  15. from my research you can purchase full breeding rights when you buy the dog. that is probably the route i will be going when i get mine of its from a good bloodline. not sure i will breed the dog but i like to know the possibility is there.
  16. by titled you mean that they have competed in schutzhund and other disciplines or shows? it seems all of her dogs have titles in their bloodlines she just never put these dogs through their paces. not defending her just trying to understand a bit more.
  17. just found http://www.kingspringshepherds.com/ in hunterdon county and sent an email. anyone ever deal with this breeder? seems she works as a vet tech and does breeding on the side. leads me to believe she knows what shes doing...
  18. what breeder did you go to walt? any website?
  19. Ive seen a few sites that say they will pick the puppy best fit for you. And most of them want like 1800-2500. Is haggeling frowned upon?
  20. My buddy had his stepdaughter out at like 6 with her mother's consent. When/If I have kids they will get pop guns at 2 and I will start the teaching process. Hopefully by 5 they will be able to handle themselves in a range with a 22. Its never to young to stay teaching them proper safety. But it's a case by case basis when they are ready to start live fire.
  21. yea mikey said the same thing in his pm that I didn't realize he sent before I posted that. Won't be going there. What's an average price if you guys don't mind me asking?
  22. I just read your pm now. Guess that guy is out.
