  1. A friend of mine has a farm in NJ and lawfully shoots on his property. I was talking to him about not being able to shoot steel anymore at EFGA and he said I am welcome to shoot at his place. I know I can bring long guns with me but I was curious about handguns and hollowpoint .22 ammo. Below it says "any target range". Would someones private property count or should I leave the handguns and .22 ammo at home? (b) Directly to or from any target range, or other authorized place for the purpose of practice, match, target, trap or skeet shooting exhibitions, provided in all cases that during the course of the travel all firearms are carried in the manner specified in subsection g. of this section and the person has complied with all the provisions and requirements of Title 23 of the Revised Statutes and any amendments thereto and all rules and regulations promulgated thereunder
  2. Or how about the Port Authority officer who had a restraining order filed against him which led to the police coming for his guns. One of which was an assault rifle. Oh and the high capacity mags he also illegally had. We got to hear about this poor man being jammed up and his terrible vindictive wife. I can't recall anyone saying they knew him or his wife but evryone was quick to pick sides anyway.
  3. People are still paying $100+ for a box of 500? Makes me want to turn some of my collection into a S&W 629.
  4. Thats what it would have come out to per box (about) with coupon and reward certificate.

Good snag. I hope you enjoy it. Do you have a good FFL for transfer? OMGcustomguns does it for $35.
  10. It's a great deal and a nice range. My only gripe is no steel. They started that about 2 weeks after I bought some.
  11. Yes its good for up to three people. It is not a one time use. You can bring guests everytime if you want.

  13. Every single time I bought ammo at the Union location I did so with a coupon without issue. I wouldn't have bought from them otherwise. I used a coupon for a couple Under Armor cold gear tops as well. I know those are clearly listed as being excluded but it was never a problem. They were adamant that I was wrong and had never been able to use a coupon for ammo. There was one time when the woman at the register said she didn't think it would be accepted but tried anyway and it went through. They wouldn't even try it today. Caught me by surprise.
  14. It seems they are no longer accepting coupons for ammo. I have bought ammo from them no less than a dozen times and used a coupon for every transaction. The woman at the register told me today that she would not accept my coupon for ammo and they never do/have. I was surprised at this because the SAME woman took my coupon a couple weeks ago. I told them how many times I used a coupon for ammo and they told me I was wrong. She said that if I went back and check my receipts I would see she was right. There were a couple other employess behind the registers and they all agreed that they have never taken a coupon for ammo. One of them also took coupons from me in the past. I am 10,000% positive they have taken my coupons in the past and my receipts at home confirm that to be true. I don't have a problem with them not taking it as it does say on the coupon that it excludes ammo even though they set the precedent by taking it every time in the past. I do have a problem with the attitude of the woman who checked me out, and others, insisting that I was wrong. I told her they could keep the ammo and I would not be coming back to shop at their stores as the only reason I was going there to shop in the first place was the coupons. I know they are Dick's over there when it comes to 2A but its hard to pass on getting 45acp for about $16/box.
  15. The lock is really a non-issue that you should not be worried about. As others have said it can be removed very easily yourself, no gunsmith needed. Prices on both guns are all over the place. There are good deals to be had if you can be patient. There are dealers on gunbroker that don't charge for shipping. You just need to search around. On gunbroker there is a rating system so you can check on a seller and see what their reputation is like. I have bought two with no shipping charge and my father has as well. No reason to pay $50+ for a transfer when there are FFL's that will do it for $35-$40, including NICS. As far as problems with the gun itself, they will tell you to contact the manufacturer, just like a local shop would probably tell you. I tried both the GP100 and the 686 before buying and I liked the S&W more. I was patient and found a brand new American Series 686 for a good price with no shipping charge. I was all in (transfer fee and NICS included) for under $700. If you are in need of a home defense gun you should consider a shotgun while you wait for the right deal to come along. Good luck with your hunt.
  16. This is nothing strange. There are alot more great white sharks off the northern east coast, including NJ, then people realize.
  17. You really need to have one of those shiny gold badges that go inside the windshield. I have never seen a car with one of those pulled over.
  18. Palmetto State and Sportsmans Guide (Code: SH285) both do. SG has used 50 cal ammo can for $13.47. With the free shipping its a good deal. http://www.sportsmansguide.com/net/cb/used-us-military-30-cal-ammo-can.aspx?a=934543&cjaffsite=adrian+laza&utm_medium=CJ&CJ=1&cjaffilid=4084797&utm_campaign=SPG+Product+Catalog+-+SportsmansGuide.com&utm_source=adrian+laza&cjadvid=1522857&cjadv=CJTSGUSA
  19. I suspect there are many, many others doing this. Alot of places do it with fish as well.
  20. I think it is different. Keeping a gun in a safe restricts access. Access which can be given by the owner to others that may need it. Having a gun with these features restricts usability. That is one problem I see with it. Others have mentioned dirty hands or gloves causing failure. That would be another good reason I wouldn't want this forced upon us.
  21. What about the other people in the home that may need to defend themselves with that same gun if the owner is not around or unable to use it themself? I recall a somewhat recent incident where a woman had to hide herself and children in a closet with her husbands .38 revolver during a home invasion while he was at work. He found them and she had to shoot him 5 times (all the gun would hold) while he yelled at her. He then ran out of the house. What would have happened to them if she had one of these guns?
  22. I read what you wrote a couple times. When you say you load up to only 15 it kind of sounds like you could have 20 or 30 rounders and you are only putting 15 in. Your wording seemed a bit strange to me so I wanted to make sure you weren't using mags that are capable of holding more than 15 but only loading up to 15.
