  1. Yea,right? Awesome... Some are very expensive but some are reasonable. I'm contemplating the Punisher ones. There are a few different versions varying in price. Silver with a little gold on my nickel govt? Could look awesome! Sent from John's iPad 2 via Tapatalk HD
  2. Notarized references? Now they make your references go through the trouble of notarizing? What a crock! Mine got asked to do that. Nothing like troubling other people... Geeze. Sent from John's iPad 2 via Tapatalk HD
  3. Ha! Thought I was gonna rag out hey? Anyway, haven't seen any posts like this and thought I'd share this link. This guy has some beautiful grips for 1911s.... There are others similar for other weaposn as well. Pretty sharp.. http://www.ebay.com/sch/Outdoor-Sports-/159043/i.html?item=110850196643&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item19cf2fc4a3&_ssn=robrtgtrrz&_sop=15
  4. The Royal Bluing is what caught my eye in the first place. It stood out in any display case of blued guns. As for the gunsmith issue, why would it be a concern? What can you possibly do to it that may require a qualified gunsmith to do? The gun is solid and a revolver. Not a semi that stands more of a chance in malfunctions. Colt ain't going anywhere soon, so worse case scenario, send your Colt on a spa/vacation session... Manicured and ready to rock once more when it returns. So I wouldn't be concerned. Wouldn't stop me from buying one if I was in the market.
  5. You wouldn't say that if you've seen the prices that boxless pythons are selling for on gb...
  6. God Bless these ol' timers. Be a sad day when there are no more to talk to, to appreciate being around. I love sitting with these guys and listening to their stories. Total respect! Sent from John's iPad 2 via Tapatalk HD
  7. Even cheaper if you use their boxes and click to ship.... Sent from John's iPad 2 via Tapatalk HD
  8. Dang, bad news then. I was on that same flight a week before... Yeesh. Talk about close? Sent from John's iPad 2 via Tapatalk HD
  9. Absolutely! No bike needed. Take your car or truck. You'll be referred as a 'cager'... (biker lingo..lol)... Sent from John's iPad 2 via Tapatalk HD
  10. My bad... Here is the link.http://www.patriotguard.org/
  11. Good to know.... Thanks. Sent from John's iPad 2 via Tapatalk HD
  12. I've stood those lines enough to know, my heart gets wrenched almost everytime. Hard to hold back the tears. I was on the flag line once and this female family member came running at me full bore. I thought she was going to run me over. She grabbed me crying and hugging me saying thank you over and over. She was so grateful we were there to show support. All you can do is say, "It's my honor you allowed us to be here, and NO, thank YOU for your family member's sacrifice." A great hero is still standing watch from above! Sent from John's iPad 2 via Tapatalk HD
  13. Join the Patriot Guard, get on the email list and you got it... Pick up a collapsible flag, some Patriot Guard gear and your set. Wojo just joined and I've been a member for years... You won't regret it. Sent from John's iPad 2 via Tapatalk HD
  14. High Ex- I can understand the air crafts fusulage not being the big problem, but what about the windows?
  15. Yes, interesting. I'm kinda thinking the orig test may not show everything. In my other video, even though he left out insulation between the sheetrock, it pretty much was spot on. I think that if it went into a human, hitting bone, it would fulfill is goal and mushroom like normal. In any event, it will hopefully do what it's design to and I'm content with thise 2 test videos and spec. Our houses around here are seperated by just a 15 ft wide driveway. Hence, trying to make sure it won't leave the house. My house is old and has plaster/lath walls. The wood is like steal now. Only thing left for me to worry about is all my loved ones are behind me and any gun fire. I have the first 3 rounds Air Freedom in both my 45s and the rest, normal rounds. Mostly due to the price. I try get them when they are on sale online, but they go quick! Never seen them locally.
  16. I like that on a lever action or old west handgun.... But eh, not on an ar, and with wood? Yeesh. Sent from John's iPad 2 via Tapatalk HD
  17. Awesome gat fer sure....
  18. What I just posted above is... Extreme Shock Air Freedom Rounds. Supposedly what Air Marshalls use on planes. Watch test video in link within my post.
  19. Boowetz, what else? Heheheh... Seriously, I use Air Freedom rounds in both my 45s http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?desktop_uri=/watch?v=Dvj9wPEkDss&v=Dvj9wPEkDss&gl=US Sent from John's iPad 2 via Tapatalk HD
  20. Roland... Sorry... Didn't mean to hijack your thread a tad... Keep in touch... Sent from John's iPad 2 via Tapatalk HD
  21. Not sure if they really are different non-standard parts. I've searched high and low for that answer without any luck. Best thing I may do is call SA direct and just ask. You recommend the 16.... How much different could it be? Same everything except the retuning and w/o all the vltor add ons pretty much. Although they don't mention it in the 16's description. Begs the question, is it just a stronger/weaker spring? Why retune the II and Not the 16...? All we know is that it's special to comp for the shorter barrel, yada yada... Other than that, only complaints I heard is the range which its not suppose to have and the weight. Weight don't bother me... You can remove some of the under rail stuff. But add it on after market, the dang stuff is expensive. Might as well get it installed and be my decision to have it on or off. It's not a long range weapon, that's a given. But that's why I have my Remmy for... and hey, lifetime warrantee is always nice too... Sent from John's iPad 2 via Tapatalk HD
  22. Hi Lunker... I'm not too concerned about the weight. The difference between the Socom 16 and the II is only 1.2 pounds. Anything added on if at all, would be a light. You'd already put a scope on it and that would be any gun. With the extended rail, depending on which type of scope, you'd be able to bring it back further to counter the front heaviness. Anyway, I'm a big guy and that gun is nothing to me in weight. As for the gas system. Best I can find out on it is that it is retuned for the 16" barrel. I'm always researching and have not seen how good/bad that could be. They are both the same size barrels. Any thoughts as to why the gas system would be an issue?
  23. Spoke already... Socom II, not Scout, but thanks Nick... Sent from John's iPad 2 via Tapatalk HD
  24. Just be constructive. Saying they are POS without why wont win anything. But that's not what this thread is about anyway... There are followers here of the BH that love em and their employees are here as well. I'm not a fan, but I wont bash them either. They've been around a long time so they must be doing something right. There are not enough ranges around as is. I'm thankful we have what we do... I've seen many close over the years and never be replaced. Sad... So keep our fingers crossed. The more, the merrier. Sent from John's iPad 2 via Tapatalk HD
  25. Speaking on my own behalf, now take this seriously... (no giggling)... Your preaching to a guy that hates wearing clothes to begin with... (I said, NO Giggling)... So I run around practically in my gym shorts most of the time while home. After having being clothed most of my life either wearing uniforms or shirts and ties, I don't want to be uncomfortable. Unless I decide to buy a pea shooter for a weapon, the only gun going in my pants while home is what the good Lord gave me. When I had to carry, I never got use to it. It was an annoyance. I like traveling light. Now thats my humble opinion. We should not have to feel like prison guards in our own homes. Hence, staging areas. It's bad enough we even have to go that far in todays society. But practice makes perfect. You have kids, I can understand your concerns. My ex-brother-in-law is a Nam Vet and an avid hunter. He kept his guns at his rustic style home in glass cabinets. Since his kids were strong enough to pick up a weapon, he taught them they were dangerous tools and not toys. Taught them to respect them and master them. I watched his kids grow up with total respect for any weapon. They knew how to use them and not treat them as toys. Now maybe that is not everyone's cup of tea and thats fine. But it all boils down to proper education. Sent from John's iPad 2 via Tapatalk HD
