  1. I've heard nothing but good things about AnA but there is also Rayco Armory and Lawmen Supply both in Pennsauken/Merchantville area. Depending on where in "South Jersey" you are they may be worth looking into.
  2. Meh. The only way my expectations could be lower was if Michael Bay was directing it. N Koreans? Really? I heard the biggest reason they switched the "bad guy" was so the movie would sell better in china.
  3. Maybe they thought that the best way to stop the bleeding was to clog their arteries with bacon and eggs?
  4. This entire thread should get tagged NSFL(ife).
  5. That would be the 'common sense' approach but if the law is written as above: prohibits a first responder from photographing, filming, videotaping, recording, or otherwise reproducing in any manner, the image of a person being provided medical care or other assistance. Then any picture of the person is prohibited. Agree, though this probably falls under the "except in accordance with applicable rules, regulations or operating procedures of the agency" exception.
  6. I thought she said "You need to be ported" and immediately thought "I don't think that will reduce her recoil, or noise".
  7. Agree with the common sense and dumb parts.. but my understanding is HIPPA only applies if the agency bills for its services.
  8. I think that's a pretty broad brush you're painting with.. I don't know of anyone in the emergency services who would sacrifice patient care in order to take pictures... Now, the real issue is that while 2-3 people are actively providing care, there are others who are standing by. Those are the ones you tend to see break out the cell camera.
  9. I can't say I'm surprised, given the recent incidents where family members end up seeing photos of their loved ones taken by responders. It's hard to argue too much against it. Some key thoughts: It seems to still allow the department to take and use photos for official purposes as long as they have a policy in place. This law focus on personnel taken their own "unofficial" pictures. It applies to those providing care/assistance, so my guess is department photographers are exempt? It's limit to covering pictures of the actual person.. images of the scene are ok. Also limited to personnel who were dispatched so off-duty (which are really considered civilians in this case) would be exempt. I also notice that the fines/penalties apply to the person, not the agency.. in fact the agency isn't mentioned at all, even in the part about civil liability... in other words, don't expect your agency will have your back if you get caught doing this..
  10. More proof that Darwin was an a$$hole.
  11. Same here.. Was looking for a good 'first AR' and from the reviews the Sport seems to fit the bill. Even though the price is great I can's spring for it ATM.. hopefully in a few weeks.
  12. You owe me a new keyboard... mine is now coffee flavored.
  13. I was able to find a police turn-in Sig P226 9mm for the same price as the others on your list. You have to ask yourself if you want new vs used, but they are out there. A friend has the Beretta and it felt and fired pretty good too. Finally, I think you can get/find mags for the G17 with 15 rounds.
  14. I'm betting these people wouldn't say the same thing in person. I blame Internet muscles.
  15. We made sure to get an automatic while we were there for just this reason. I didn't mind learning to drive on the left, and navigate Irish roads but didn't want the added headache of a stick. After about a day driving on the left wasn't too bad. We also brought a GPS with international maps which was a HUGE help since the roads were extremely tight and not well marked.
  16. The Guinness and Jameson tours were actually better then I thought they'd be. It was a great way to spend what ended up being a rainy afternoon. While I can now tolerate Jameson, I'm still more of a Bowmore fan. The Aran islands were on our list but didn't make the final cut unfortunately.. Dingle and Clifton were probably two of my favorite places.
  17. My wife and I went there on our honeymoon and had a blast! Did you know they had beer there? Anyway, we flew into Dublin and drove south around the coast for 10 days. We stayed in Dublin, Ardmore, Dingle, Galway, Connemara, and back in Dublin before flying home. I can't think if one single "must see"... the whole trip was a must see. Rather then tour bus we just rented a car and did our own thing. Driving on the left wasn't too bad once I got used to it. Their roads, on the other hand, took a lot of getting used to. Some were no bigger then golf-cart paths.. One thing I would do differently would be to spend more time in each location. We had two nights in each, which meant one full day in each to explore followed by mostly full days traveling. It felt rushed trying to do and see everything. Having two full days at the locations would give us more time to explore or do a day-trip but it would mean staying longer, or dropping destinations.. A link to some of our Flickr pictures:
  18. Not sure what the handgun laws are like in Wisconsin, but wouldn't involvement with these groups preclude him getting a P2P?
  19. Update: NJ's Emmons Shoots His Way to Bronze Congrats!
  20. I'm pretty sure the 1A does not cover throwing chairs through a Starbucks window. I don't agree with the characterization here on the 'class' of protester but lets also not pretend this was a quiet sit-in.
  21. The 165 is from the point of view of the shooter.. given the situation it could be an exaggeration. Still a great shot and it's good the guy stepped in. The story could also be seen from the anti-POV.. some nutcase murdered two people with a hand gun over dog poop. Yes, one hand gun owner probably saved a cop but another killed two people. -1 if you're keeping score.
  22. I stand corrected. From Automatic license plate reader helps Jersey police fight crime Though I don't think they need to 'Drive Slow'
