  1. That depends on whether they sprinkle powdered sugar or pour hot fudge on it. LOL
  2. I'm gonna go with this for Beretta.
  3. The KB Mini-14s are a problem, originally in '90 people were told they did not have to register them because they were not folding stock Minis then in '96 the state adopted the evil restrictions of the federal ban and the KBs became substantially identical to the folders over night.
  4. I don't think "no State shall— prohibit the sale (other than prohibiting the sale to minors)" could be any clearer. If there is already a restriction on sales to minors in the state's law wouldn't any other regulation intended to prohibit the sale to those other than minors be preempted by this federal law?
  5. OK, so it says specifically "other than prohibiting the sale to minors" so if they can't prohibit the sale to previously convicted criminals who are the "regulations" written for when sales to minors are already addressed elsewhere in the law? You should also be aware that this preemption is the basis for the challenge to NJ's one gun a month law specifically because NJ regulates and requires issuance of a pistol permit for the purchase of a BB pistol. What it really says is "The provisions of this section shall supersede any provision of State or local laws or ordinances which provide for markings or identification inconsistent with provisions of this section provided that no State shall— prohibit the sale (other than prohibiting the sale to minors) of traditional B–B, paint ball, or pellet-firing air guns that expel a projectile through the force of air pressure." While addressing toy and imitation firearms regulations it specifically limits the state from attempting to lump those or any other regulations onto BB, paint ball and pellet guns.
  6. I looked high and low, I can't find anything proving it is fake. It was originally posted last month here: http://www.reddit.com/r/pics/comments/195pib/if_you_liked_the_cloud_atat/
  7. To be quite frank I'm kind of done with all this state's bs. I really, truely don't care what they do anymore. I'm done jumping through arbitrary hoops. Everything I currently own meets the requirements of the current laws without grandfathering people like me anything they do, they do so in violation of due process. Read State of New Jersey vs. Robert D. Merrill. Leave me the hell alone, not one more inch!
  8. I have always felt it should be the right of any property owner to call their taxing authority on their assessment. Meaning that if you don't agree with their appraisal you should have the option of calling their bluff and making them purchase the property for the value they assessed it. That would put an end to the shenanigans in short order.
  9. Why is it everyone consistently fails to point out that NJ is preempted by Federal law from regulating the sale of BB guns? If you were to have one shipped to your home an affirmative defense to being charged would be that the state has no authority to regulate the sale.
  10. Thought about it after I posted this, I think Jersey week is actually the second week in November as it usually falls on The election week (second Tuesday). Either way it is the week the kids are off for teacher's convention, however tempting with the kids being off from school, trust me, don't do it!
  11. Talking about weeks, the first week in November is "Jersey" week, so named for all the Jersey people down during the week of the teacher's convention. Avoid this week at all costs! Other than the first week, Nov and Dec are nice because Christmas in Disney is simply awesome! Mickey's very merry Christmas party is one of the coolest things I have ever seen at Disney, hot chocolate, and a late night Christmas parade on Main Street USA in the (fake) snow is just the best time. Did it in 2010 and 2012, kids went nuts.
  12. Your ticket is your fast pass but from what I have heard they are changing to some sort of new wireless enabled wrist band called a "MagicBand" that is part of some new MyMagic program. Not sure when it starts but is supposed to end the FastPass problems and speed up the lines.
  13. Not trying to be an ass but, by the time you paid for the rent a car and the parking what did you really save? Staying on the property you use the Disney Magical Express to and from the airport. It is free and you don't even have to touch your bags, they are delivered to the room and waiting for you when you get there. If you buy a meal plan and plan your meals right, you can eat like a king for what fast food will cost you out of the parks. The only thing I don't like about the meal plan are the breakfasts, I'm a breakfast pig and the meal plan just doesn't cut it for me but I throw a few extra bucks in for what I want and it is still cheaper than off the property.
  14. My wife and I stayed at the Double Tree in Orlando for a week back in 2000 (pre kids) and it was the worst Disney trip of my life. Transportation issues, meal costs and sub par hotel service were enough to make us say never again, nothing beats staying on the property. In the long run any money you might save is only diminishing the experience. If you feel the need to sit through a sales pitch, go to the Disney Vacation Club speil and get a free days park hopper pass.
  15. Two words: due process. The problem is they are doing everything in their power to avoid it and therein lies the problem. Until there are sufficient protections in place you would (pardon the pun) have to be nuts to seek any type of mental health help. Look what they are doing to these poor bastards coming back from Iraq and Afghanistan, these guys put their lives on the line, did a hard job and come home to a bunch of douchebags trying to summarily strip them of their rights for their efforts. Absolutely disgraceful. My point above was more rhetorical in nature, that people are going to choose not to seek help they really need to avoid being black listed without proper due process.
  16. As they make our point for us, what have we learned here? A. Never voluntarily let your government know what you have or where it is. B. Regardless of need never seek mental health services. C. Never keep all of you firearms and ammunition at one location. D. You can never have too many guns or too many storage locations. E. Preparing goes beyond purchasing and storing.
  17. Here is the problem, give him 30 years for possession/selling a gun as a prohibited person from his prior convictions, that I can support. Start lumping in evil "assault weapons" BS is where I have a problem. What he did trumps what it was.
  18. If you are going between April and October this is an absolute must or you will hate it! There is nothing worse than the lines and mid-day crowds in 100º+ Florida heat of August/September. This is why I limit our trips to spring and fall.
  19. If she is five, check out "Chef Mickey's" in the Contemporary. It is a buffet style character meal. The food isn't all that but all of the characters come through and interact with the kids during the meal and put on little shows. It is a great opportunity to get all of the big character photos with the kids and autographs from Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Pluto, Goofy and others. You need to book that as soon as you have a date, seats are limited and hard to get. Also Google the "Bippity Boppity Boutique" in the Magic Kingdom, if she has a favorite princess that she would like to dress-up as for a day, she will absolutely love it!
  20. I practically grew up in Disney World; my first trip was in 1971 at the age of 2. From 8 to 15 years old I was there roughly three times a year; November for a week with mom and step dad, February for winter break with my real dad and his mother that lived in Tampa then I spent one month of every summer at that grandmother's house, we were always going there. A lot has changed over the years; recently I was there in March of 2009, November of 2010 and just this past November 2012. If you are going to all the parks you need multiple (at least 2) days each to see the Magic Kingdom, Epcot and Disney Studios. One day in the Animal Kingdom is usually enough. We have been staying at the moderate resorts lately, 2009 - Caribbean Beach, 20010 and 2012 at Port Orleans Riverside. I always suggest the moderate hotels, with the park-hopper passes (now called Magic Your Way) and the middle dinning plan. The economy resorts are cramped, loud and packed full of screaming little kids, the moderate hotels tend to be a little more relaxing yet still provide plenty for the kids to do. Nothing beats staying in the park resorts, it may be cheaper to stay outside the park up front but I have never saved money doing it, it just tends to be more of a headache getting around. If you stay in the park resorts you get access to the parks earlier and can use the Disney transportation system to go just about anywhere any time. Be prepared to walk your ass off, bring some comfortable shoes and blister band aids. Arriving Saturday AM and leaving the following Saturday PM is our general plan with 7 day passes and meal plans. We stay away from the Disney water parks as we generally go either early spring or late fall (to avoid the summer craziness and heat), we also live at the shore and have Great Adventure season passes with access to the water park there so that is never a big deal for us. BTW, average trip for us, family of 4, is usually between $6k-$7k with air fare. Have fun!
  21. I feel bad for my brother in law, his extended permit expires Monday. The 30 days from the last purchased was just up on the 7th. He purchased an M&P22 today but because NICs is taking so long he will not be able to pick up the gun on this permit, he has to apply for a new one.
  22. If he says yes he should provide the boiler plate everyone should use to ensure he gets what he wants.
  23. Rguns left a very bad taste in my mouth, I will never purchase from them again, their arrogant attitude and complete lack of customer service was enough to keep me from ever taking another chance. It's sad because as you can see the sand color lower is cool as sin. Now that I'm finally back to work I really need to start working on this project again.
  24. He said he is hoping they will elect to drop the charges against him, if he pokes them publicly like that they will dig in even if they know they are going to lose just to give him a complimentary hard time. Look at Brian Aitken. Nappen's big thing is keep your mouth shut and let him do the talking; I can't imagine he would be happy this video is out on the internet. Anything he says could potentially be used against him; it can't be used to help him which means it can only cause harm. I understand he want to tell his story about how wronged he was and I agree with him but you don't do that until you can do so safely after you are no longer in peril of legal prosecution. Judging by Nappen’s statements and the fact the guns were purchased while he was a PA resident, I think he is most likely “guilty” of the assault weapon charges and high cap magazines which means he is still in serious jeopardy. Since I believe those laws are unconstitutional I would love to see them challenged but the real possibility exists that they could be upheld and he could face serious jail time if the search is found to be legal and the evidence is not thrown out.
